Personality: Good natured, morally sound, kind and calm in general. Despite being quite easily rattled by conflict and negativity, she can keep her cool and continue when she needs to.

Brief History:
The Vongola Family's bosses since the reign of Sawada Tsunayoshi have been a different breed of mafia leaders - strong and Just, unconcerned with power and control. While this means that traditional crime families turned away and broke ties, it brought similar families together under the Vongola's unity. A rift formed between those stereotypes of the mafia, and these new 'vigilante' types of families. Whilst some believed war was coming, the twelfth boss wasn't concerned. He was content, living a good life, with a wife and child in his hometown of Namimori along with his guardians.

His only child hasn't been trained for her future like most heirs to families, but just enough that she might have what she needs to defend herself until the day she'd need to take over her father's role and become Vongola Tredecimo, the thirteenth. Ringo isn't the most popular kid, but is a promising student at Nami High. She's only got a small circle of friends, some mafia-related, some not, but she cares for them all deeply.

Still unsure of what her future holds, she heads to school one day, not being able to contain the excitement of knowing what today was! The visit from Shimon! Once school was over, she headed to Vongola Base, where a childhood friend would be waiting to see her again! It would be just like old times...

He has a couple scars from training and the attack on the Vongola Headquarters. He also sports the prized Simon Famiglia insignia within the irises of his eyes like his predecessor Enma Kozato.

Personality:
Mamoru has a good heart, but it can sometimes be overshadowed by his attitude. Put simply, he can be a bit of an asshole. He is snarky, sarcastic, and much more oriented to using his mind and showing up enemies. He can be condescending, vindictive and overall a jerk in combat or when it comes to people he doesn't like. It is almost as if he is another person compared to how friendly and kind he can be towards family, friends and allies.

BRIEF History:
Since the reemergence of the Simon Famiglia its members have stood by the sides of their Vongola Counterparts. The hatred harbored for the Vongola for so long was absolved by all the information that came to light. The members of the Simon and Vongola were able to not only reconcile, but strengthen their bonds and forge ahead in order to better understand each other, their flames and the ever growing mafia world. Mamoru Kozato was being raised to take over as the Simon Tredecimo.

His parents told him stories of the hate which fueled the family and the forgiveness and understanding that came to pass during the reign of Simon Decimo, Enma Kozato, his predecessor and great-grandfather. He became fast friends with Ringo Sawada when their families came together, though he was sure he frightened her when faced with a potential bully, whom he would make quick work of.

Mamoru was given a deeper introduction to the mafia world, more training, more equipment and used all of this knowledge to try and better shape himself along with his future guardians, his dear friend and his family. Still, he was a bit disappointed, even if he understood it was not her choice, with Ringo's slightly more sheltered life at the hands of her father. That didn't make him any less happy and excited to see her as the time for the Summit approached.

Specializations: Mamoru's has a heavy focus on ranged combat utilizing technology and the gravity manipulation of the Earth Flame, with a light base in Martial Arts, or close quarters combat, which is part of the reason his and Ringo's parents had them spar and train together.
Weapons:

• Simon Gauntlet - Inherited from his predecessor Enma Kozato, Mamoru has only recently learned of the their existence and their use, as well as the use of his flame.
• Mini-Drones - Based on a creative design and his own invention, Mamoru utilizes two combat drones which when not stationary, in a bag or otherwise, he controls using the combination Contact and Headphone set. As of now the drones capabilities include: firing lasers, acquiring information, capturing video and audio, audio/video playback via holographic imaging and some other minor functions.

Equipment:

• Simon Contacts - Contact lenses which give Mamoru access to a HUD, status and a live feed from his Drones while also allowing for a multitude of other features such as various modes of visions. He occasionally upgrades them as far as his own technical knowledge will allow, but he is greatly limited.
• Simon Headphones - Based on the design of Tsunayoshi Sawada's X-Headphones, these connect with an onboard AI controlling the drones and regulating the systems present in them while deciphering information fed through the lenses. They are black and red and emblazened with the Simon Insignia.

Other: He seems to greatly enjoy listening to music while doing things, particularly remixes of other music, generally played through his drones.
