Silena had backed away once the healers made it to their queen's side to help her. Looking to the scene between her father and Loki, Silena took notice of Loki's posture. This wasn't guilt. If it was guilt, Silena was more sure that there would be more than just stand there, she was sure that someone would beg and plead to be seen as something as guilt. This she saw a Loki before. Fear. Raw traumatizing fear. And her father was doing nothing but making it worse and making a scene beyond what it should possibly be. She went to her father to try and calm him down.

"Father, father wait!!" She tried to get infront of him, knowing that he would never try to harm her. "Please calm yourself father! Why are you after Loki? What has he done?" She asks him, hoping for answers.

Once the king approached him, Loki, even while he wasn't making any eye contact, instinctively closed his eyes, and held the wine chalice so tightly that his knuckles may/may not turn white. 'You screw up, a beating will be in order', that was the policy. That's what he heard -- and experienced. However, when in the presence of the king, it was a guarantee. The Jotun's breathing picked up speed, fearing for the worst yet knowing that the worst was coming.

Because he had his eyes closed, Loki didn't notice Silena watching with an observant eye, while trying to come up with an answer, in the hope to spare himself from getting backhanded. He had never received punishment, in front of people, since Thor never acted on them, in these settings. While it has never happened, doesn't mean it will never occur. A majority of what he had to endure, was away from the prying eyes of the king's subjects, including the queen and princess. To top it off, Thor made him swear not to tell, or the abuse will get worse.

With the memories coming back, full-circle, tears pried at the corner of his closed eyes, and his lower lip slightly trembled, along with the rest of his body. In the middle of brewing up some level of defense, the voice of Silena cut into their breathing space. Loki still didn't open his eyes, and subconsciously brought the wine chalice closer to his body. He wanted to shrink down, physically, but could only do so mentally.

"Throw this piece of Jotun filth into the cage", Thor said, completely ignoring his daughter's words. "He shall never see the light of day, until I am through with him", he added, before turning back to the collapsed figure of his wife, but not until giving Loki a glare. It was unreadable, but nothing good resonated from it, either.

Silena could not believe what she was witnessing and first hand. She had never once seen her father as enraged at a singular person such a servant. She knew that a servant to know their place within the order of ranking when within the palace as all subjects should no matter where they hail from. But was this out of rage and concern or something else? Why only Loki?

For now Silena had no time to think on this at the moment but could after the care and safety of a queen, wife, and mother. She looked to the healers, trying not to get so close in fear of being in the way. "How is mother? Will she be alright? Was it curable?" She asks, hoping to have not bothered them with too many questions. She was worried for her mother after all.

Loki still has yet to open his green orbs, and to let go of the pouring chalice he instinctively kept close to his being, completely shutting himself away from the people around him, and the words being said. It was until he felt hands on his shoulders, along with the force of somebody releasing the pitcher from his hold, that took the Jotun out of his dissociated state, and finally opened his eyes. Fear and confusion engulfed him, once he was forced to arch himself forwards, gluing his eyes to ground, and escorted out of the room. He had never made a mistake, whenever he was in the presence of visitors, so this was a first - and hopefully, the last - if the king doesn't kill him first.

The healers pulled away from the Queen, shaking their heads, with gloom expressions on their faces. Her majesty wasn't breathing, and she seemed clammier, than how she was, a few minutes ago. Without a second thought, Thor placed his hands under the table, and flipped it, with an enraged yell; the food, the wine, and everything else, clattering to the ground. His wrath caused a few of the guests to back away, in fear. Taking a few breaths, the king looked around. "I thank all of you for joining me, this evening, and my daughter for her 'coming-of-age' celebration", he said, with passive aggression, until determination raged in his eyes.

"Mark my words, justice is in order as of tonight. All shall know their places."

The next thing he knew, Loki was thrown unceremoniously into a cell - tripping, and falling, on the way in. Normally, he would thrown back into the slave quarters, which, granted, looked and felt, like a cage, but now, he found himself in a literal cage. The force field surrounded him, giving him a full view of the dungeons, and the other prisoners within. Pulling himself into a sitting position, Loki wrapped his arms around his knees up, and rested his forehead on top of them, dreading for the next altercation.
