Crystallos
As old as the planet, this monstrous cavern holds many secrets not yet known to the denizens of the world. A winding stream carries in reflected sunlight, bouncing it from hanging shards to jagged pillars of purple stone. It has only recently been discovered by a band of seekers searching for new living shelter for their tribe. Each of them was stricken with a trance-like state of mind upon touching the sparkling walls. Knowledge rushed their minds and for hours they stood as if incapacitated. When their senses returned, it was night, and the stone that once only reflected sunlight, now glowed a dim shade of purple. Somehow the seekers knew that the cavern walls absorbed light and stored it for multiple uses. With the knowledge they now possessed, it was time to return home and share what was learned.
In possession of a stone, and with a sufficient amount of stored light, a wielder could transform many things into tools, whether it be weapons, armor, walls, etc. It was a gift from Crystallos. It wasn't long before the tribe invaded the cavern, mining the precious stone in hopes of sharing its abilities with other tribes so the people of the world may thrive. Few people, the elder being one, experienced the mind altering effects the seekers had explained. After his own enlightenment, the elder learned and understood a growing fear of the stone. The mining was weakening the entity and as a consequence, evolution would slow and possibly reverse until nothing was left. The Elder, feeling sorrow and guilt for starting it all, vowed to protect Crystallos. With his people and blessing of the stone, the leader built a grand fortress with the surrounding land.
After a decade of refusal, and rumors of the stone able to offer more power, tribes prepared themselves for war. Many would fight each other in their travels to Crystallos, but all would find and build havens within a mere few days walk of the famed source of power. Every now and then, a chosen wielder guided by the voice in the stone would approach the grand fortress, offering their skills to help Crystallos.
More would be needed, however. An elder from a far land spread rumor of an entity deep within the unexplored parts of Crystallos slumbers. And if the knowledge and power already given to the people can be given, then it could be taken.

This RP could go two ways
1 All out war, with little character progression.(my least favorite)((would edit to have characters already know a little magic))
2 Explore. Our group gets a head start towards the entity, with character progression(The fortress would fall and enemies would follow)((we learn to manifest the stones power into offensive and defensive magic unique to a character))
I can answer any questions but before a CS I wanna see if this catches any interest
