Feel free to repost your first IC post from the old RP if you want. Either way, I thought I'd give you the opportunity to reintroduce yourself to Anora in this setting. I'd appreciate it if my character could be the one to first spot yours as I haven't entirely finished feeling out this new guy, and, he'll definitely be able to find her. Don't feel pressured to make Anora respond in a positive way or stick around if my character acts weird or in a way she doesn't like in their first meeting, they'll end up needing to stick together regardless so don't worry on that front.

I hope I didn't go too far in controlling Anora there, putting her on the road in her car like that. Also, that last sentence isn't meant to keep her from attempting to help him, it's just that you never said she took first-aid training or anything. If she has or just so happens to possess good instincts, feel free to prove that sentence wrong lol. Feel free to have her ride with him to the hospital, he technically requested to keep her around before losing consciousness so I believe she's in her rights to come with.

Remember to keep her human in all this. She's probably not adjusted to stuff like this and doesn't have to be in our modern generally-peaceful society. Seeing someone get hurt like this can easily cause PTSD in the average person, feel free to keep her in a natural mindset. I'm not saying make her freak out, obviously if she's not going to she's not going to. It's just that, feeling calm in the moment and melting down afterwords or screaming at the first sight of a bloody body or freezing up in the car are all normal reactions. She doesn't have to take any of them, but I'd like to see her react to things in the way a real Anora would, not monitord or dumbed down because things are probably gonna get mythical and crazy later lol. I hope all that makes sense and I'm not overstepping anything by saying all that.

It'd be cool to make things happen kind of somewhat-normally for a little while anyways, like if if she gets a call form her mom later today because her daughters on the news for an automobile incident (assuming they even have that kind of relationship). Or if a worried friend comes to her apartment wondering where she was at work assuming she hardly misses. You know, just kind of in the ways that life likes to push itself into our activities if that makes sense. I know I'm making you carry a bit of the reigns, and I can help if you need me to and give me a little backstory to work with, but I just want the introduction into her life to actually be an introduction so we can all feel the full effects when shit hits the fan or begins to transition into craziness. I mean, we need to have at least a little normality for things to feel crazy when they get there.

Also, I tried to tone down and bleep out the cursing in the first post. I'll do my best to keep away from it, my apologies for earlier. I am quite literally surrounded by people who swear like sailors day in and day out nowadays xD

*Reads the OOC first. Thinks, “Uh oh, a godmodder.” Reads the IC. Raises an eyebrow.* As far as I can tell, you didn’t actually take control of Anora. You just put out there the “If she does this, then this will happen, but if not, this happens,” to quicken the progression of the scene. Let me know if you have any objections to me taking charge of getting him en route to the hospital. I’ll go back in and edit if need be. I’m not entirely sure how all that works, so I mostly winged it. Heh.

This isn’t my first rodeo, my friend! After reading all that, I’m beginning to wonder what kind of RP partners you have recently had. I’ve been writing for almost sixteen years now, and roleplaying or writing stories with other people for nearly just as long. Which I don’t say to boast, just to tell you that I know what I’m doing... mostly. I make plenty of mistakes, but I’ve got this. All you really told me, was to play Anora and her surroundings like the place and person she is in the story, not a 2-D world typed up in cyberspace. Which is pretty much a common-sense rule of writing, if you want your settings and characters to feel as if they are real people, not just words on a screen/page. “A character is a caricature!” It’s always a bit harder when you haven’t had much time to “spend” with your character, but I can manage. In short, I had no other intentions than to play her and any following situations as realistically as what is in my capabilities! :-)

“I know I’m making you carry a bit of the reigns.” Isn’t that pretty much what RP partners are supposed to do? Each always moving the plot forward in one way or another? I have been the sole GM in many roleplays, and even the DM of a D&D campaign, so I can and am accustomed to carrying an entire plot myself so long as the other player(s) put forth the necessary effort, be just a player doing what is necessary to keep the story moving forward and keep all involved engaged in the plot, as well as a bit of both in the events of major aspects falling to me every now and again in a plot that is otherwise not of my making. I quite like doing all of the above. My character knows as much about the world you are about to weave as I do, and I do not have control over any subplots at the moment, so I should not need any backstory for a while. But if that changes or I stumble upon anything to ask about, I won’t be shy to ask questions!

I appreciate you doing that with the cussing. It’s been a long while, so I figured you would have forgotten, and I have heard what kinds of mouths people in your profession tend to have. I’m a dying breed of oddity in that kind of world, so I understand the difficulty of remembering that preference for a single person (or couple people, if you know anyone else) out of dozens, if not hundreds.

And you're correct, my past partners were rather... strenuous at times. Even if either of us were to overstep our bounds or get something totally wrong I feel we could both easily communicate about it and modify our posts accordingly. It's refreshing to say the least. I can certainly appreciate you being experienced in helping ot carry things along, I'm used to pushing the story along totally on my own so feel free to let me know if you're wanting me to step back a bit or let you take more control for whatever you have in mind. Either way, I hardly doubt we'll have let each-other know when we're doing something of the sort.

Thanks for the understanding! I feel the same way, I'd just like to actually keep you informed from now on if I miss a day or two of posting. I'd like to keep my posts at around one every day or two.

I appreciate you understanding why I let the curses slip lol. Generally, they are entirely unnecessary so I completely understand where you're coming from. Nothing wrong with being unique in disliking that, living life how you want and without apologies is what I'd like ot believe is most anyone's goal.

Also, if something looks really bad I'll apologize ahead of time. I haven't written a word aside from some poetry for about ten months now so I'm having to ease back in. Not that you need to point them out now, but if there's any over-arching grammatical flaws aside from my horrible use of commas feel free to point them out.

Absolutely. Please, if I ever overlook details (I have that habit with longer posts. Like you may have already witnessed, if you saw the last post before the edit), or go too far on anything, do let me know! And will do, if I ever have some kind of particular story element I’d like to suggest adding/taking control of!

As a warning to you, then, the last couple days have been a bit of an irregularity for me. Typically, it takes me a lot longer to get replies that long up. Maybe every two days to once a week, if I get busy or my inspiration jumps elsewhere. I’ve been excited to do a restart, too, so that helps. ;-) So yeah. Fair warning: I average at “slow” for posts.

Ok I'm back! Gonna try to get a post out by the end of tonight but no promises. I should definitely have one finished by tomorrow.
New York was incredible but the test I came back to was ridiculously tough an the whole class failed it lol. We'll see how everything turns out.

Let me know if I need to change anything, or overlooked/misunderstood any details! I assumed you intended for the older couple and pair of teens to look related. I don't write for others' important-sounding NPCs, but the simple passing mention of everyone in the waiting room made them seem "safe" to add the reactions to, like they're more fillers or extras than characters that you need. Let me know if I was wrong, though! The edit button is a wonderful thing.

You did fine! I'll try and get better at labeling NPC's in my posts but you can feel free to do what you want with them for most anything. Feel free to try and interrupt my character from doing something too, I'll let you know if it works or not but you never know unless you try. I like how she came to realize no one was noticing him, that was really cool.

I'm working on my next post now. Life has been really crazy lately. I only end up having an hour or two to myself each day and those usually have to be spent cleaning or preparing for the next day. Also been getting some really hard news from home. I'm hoping the weather will close down my base for tomorrow so I can finish it up but no promises there.
