Name: Naveed
Appearance:
Age: 27
Universe of Origin: 6
Race: Hera
Gender: Male
Personality: Naveed is often described as a patient and mellow individual, often holding a serious and reserved personality but not lacking a humorous side in the form of dry wit and sarcasm. In fact, more often than not he’ll have some sort of smile on his face, even if it’s covered up most of the time. Along with this, he much prefers to simply watch and wait for the right moment to do something, whether that be the right moment to speak in a conversation to add his own opinion or waiting for an opening to take advantage of in a fight. He likes to be precise in his actions and not rush into things, and he gets somewhat annoyed at people who do so before he can form some sort of plan. As much as he prefers not to fight, he believes getting stronger will allow him to travel on adventures without any interruption.
Bio: In Universe 7, while the people of planet Hera were locked away due to their excessive violent and ruthless tendencies, the Hera’s residing within Universe 6 had taken quite a different turn. Instead of becoming pirate conquerors and committing genocide across the universe, they instead were adventurous traders, known for setting up galactic trade outposts that allowed travelers to settle comfortably on a planet for a time and enjoy the local sights. However, with each new outpost they'd set up, a family of Herians would have to stay behind to overlook said outposts. They contained everything one would need to stay on a planet, and they often contained great entertainment in the form of martial arts tournaments.
Luckily, in order to maintain their desire for travel and adventure, every year the family's would rotate to a different planet, granting them a fresh, new area to explore and contain. Naveed's family was one of these, with their main focus while overlooking an outpost was to improve the overall fame of their tournaments. So much so, that they often would participate in the tournaments if there weren't enough fighters. Anyone was able to participate so long as they reached a certain skill level, and often tourists from far and wide would come to either watch the fights or fight themselves.
Ever since he was little, Naveed always loved to watch these fights, getting the best seats on each world due to essentially being one of the Hera's who ran the place. Of course, they didn't actually let him do anything due to his young age, and so often the little one's time would be spent watching the tournaments or helping prepare for them. He was always amazed at their techniques, the way they moved and how powerful they were overall compared to the average individual who had no combat experience. He wanted to learn, but had no idea where to start, and so he often spent his time simply watching from the stands.
His father, however, noticed Naveed's desire to fight, and of course, he had no objections. He believed it was good that his son wanted to learn how to fight, and that it would be beneficial overall to the Heras. When Naveed became old enough in his father's eyes, he began to train him in whatever techniques the Heras knew. It was a slow start, but Naveed showed potential and began to pick up on the ki controlling aspects of fighting more than the hand to hand combat.
As the years went on and Naveed improved, he began to test his skills in the tournaments they regulated. He struggled with actual opponents at first, but with each fight he began to notice techniques that his father had no real way of teaching him, and that each different individual had some sort of ace in the hole, so to speak, that separated them from the others. Intrigued by this, he'd often ask for training from the tournament's winners in order to broaden his experience, and most of them agreed to do so.
His life of helping around the outpost began to grow dull after he started to train with multiple other fighters, and he started to skip out on his duties in order to continue to train and improve. He knew close combat fighting was his weakness, and so he sought to seek further improvements in his ki control and their attacks rather than developing hand-to-hand techniques. When his family began to notice this, they started to deny him entry into their tournaments, devastating Naveed and causing him to develop a sense of angst towards them. With enough time and pressure, he eventually had enough, challenging his father to a battle to determine what Naveed could do. His father, believing he could easily beat his son and unaware of the training he had done without him, accepted this challenge. Suffice to say, Naveed blew him away rather easily, having outclassed his father years ago.
Before anyone could tell him otherwise, Naveed left the designated planet they were currently assigned to, instead using his status as a Hera to travel to new worlds and constantly improve. With strength came a challenge, and each new challenge gave him even more of a reason to improve. If he could get strong enough, nothing could stop him from exploring to his heart's content and learning new techniques he would have never have seen in the fighting rings.
Aura Color: Orange
Preferred Fighting Style: Ki-Blasts/ki-wielder. Naveed much prefers to use his ki to keep opponents at bay or catch them off guard with his unique ki attacks, but when things get too close for comfort, he’ll attempt to make up for his lack of strong hand to hand combat by creating weapons out of his ki.
Signature Combat Techniques:
Indignation: The user takes a moment to concentrate their power into a single weapon of their choice made of ki, thus increasing their power at the cost of constantly draining their ki. This can be something simple such as a sword or bow made out of ki, or something defensive such as a shield to lighten the blows. However, if a ki weapon is out, the user cannot use other ki attacks or even simple ki-blasts as their ki is being outputted into said weapon.
Sylvestia: The user extends their arms outward in the direction of their target, with one hand pointing upward and the other sideways next to each other, building up their ki in preparation of launching a ki-wave. However, upon doing so, the wave behaves differently than simply flying straight at an opponent. Instead, it spirals, having the ability to maneuver around another ki-wave instead of directly clashing with it. Of course, by avoiding a clash, it leaves Naveed open to getting hit by the opponents ki-wave if he uses it as a counter attack instead of as an aggressive attack.
Pyrotechnics: The user raises their left hand, charging their ki into a condensed ball similar in size to a death ball before launching it at their opponent. From here, the user can cause the ki blast to suddenly split into 5 smaller spheres to swarm the target, or simply let the ki ball fly and explode upon contact. Naveed’s ultimate technique that he uses as a last resort to catch the opponent off guard if they intended to simply dodge the initial, larger attack.
