My house full of clocks is just tick-tick-ticking away til Judgement day here. If you have any last prayers, any secret checks to slide under my door, any ideas, any dreams, any hopes: now is the time to get them in. If you have character ideas which I can work into a cool arc, that will cement you in the RP. If you have some surprising lore ideas, shoot them at me like a t-shirt canon.
After tomorrow, all bets are off, all anchors are aweigh and all ships and shaped. Or something.
It is Friday my dudes, and that means judgement will soon be upon us. But I am at work teaching kids and getting them ready for a standardized test, so let’s hold off on judgement til tonight. That means those who still need to finish their profiles: get to it!
Been working on the opening post whenever I have free time. As of this moment, it is 5 pages long with two different POVs. I still feel that I have more to add. I really want to establish the world, the island and some of the characters in this post.

“There's a first for everything, She probably thought about making it.”
Charlotte is considered attractive even with her past she had trained her body to be fit, though she may be slim that doesn't stop her from anything. Charlotte has hazelnut brown hair that goes down to a few inches down her neck but she usually has it tied to ponytail if anything, she has greenish blue eyes, freckles across her face, a small nose and a four cuts on her right cheek. it scared so it can be visibly be seen from up close.
Name Charlotte West
Age 22
Gender Female
Home Sea The Imperial Sea
Aether Sign Sun
Aether Abilities Zephyr - This allows Charlotte to move her hands at a significantly faster rate, since she is a person who works and co-runs a workshop in the city, she uses this ability to construct things much faster, this also means that the workshop she works in is known for it's speed and capabilities to create in a certain amount of time. This skill may also be used in combat to make her move faster but she finds it unnecessary and waste to do so.
Slipstream - This allows Charlotte to alter the direction of the wind, this does not create wind, but only alter it, so having her along in sailing is a good thing.
Personality Charlotte is considered a relatively sane person but she's got an odd way of thinking, being born on the streets make her one to be an odd one. She thoroughly enjoys and inspects her environments from corner to corner, trying to figure out a way to make it so that maybe it could be automated or powered of something. She wants things to progress and she knows the world will do so, with or without her; she wishes to provide much needed assistance in doing so and hopefully living long enough to see the world continuously change.
Even with an odd personality like this, Charlotte is definitely one of those people who are sociable and caring for those she calls friends, making wise cracks just to lighten up the mood no matter how down everyone is. She's one to take favours and accept everything that she sees fit to be challenging for her, may it be small or large. Her 'father' knows that her personality may have her take over the workshop once she's ready, but only until then.
Charlotte also smokes, life is stressful and smoking calms her down.
She also has a thick, posh, accent it would be considered British if that existed.
History "Life has it's ups and downs, but once you're rock bottom, you can only go up"
When Charlotte was young, around the age of 3, her parents died and until this day she knows not of what caused her parents' death. This meant she was left to die in the streets of Galma or drown in the oceans that surrounded the city, either way it was a terrible fate for the young girl. She scurried around the streets at night, using her Aether ability 'Zephyr' to sneak food and water just to keep herself alive. She hated being there but she didn't want to die, she made it on the streets until she was 8, and she had gotten notorious in the small portion of town she was in.
One stormy night she decided to sneak in a building for shelter, it was dark and it had this large area for her to move around in in that building and it had a lot of tools in it, it looked abandoned so she decided to stay the night there. She looked around it seemed like any other dusty old workshop, just a bunch of tools and unfinished projects; she had nothing else to do so she just toyed with whatever was there, eventually making a small boat like contraption by 4 in the morning. She was proud of it, that was the first time she was proud about doing something, but then the door of the workshop flung open, a figure stood by the door and she was scared, maybe the person was going to report her to the authorities and have her sent to prison. That wasn't the case, the man walked in and looked down at the cold and scared Charlotte, the man knelt down and looked at the contraption she had made and adopted her to work in the workshop with him, maybe Charlotte was all the man needed to get the place up and running again. The man was Aaron Du Crown, he owned the workshop and was known for a lot of things, his son stood by the door and was ready to call authorities Aaron stopped him saying that this young girl could be the way this workshop come back to life. So Aaron took Charlotte's and his son Henry's hand and took them inside, raising them both to be what they wanted to be.
A decade has passed, Charlotte was 19 and the workshop was at full swing, people coming in and out to have things made and repaired. Aaron was happy, Charlotte was the reason his workshop is up and running again; Henry didn't want anything didn't want to be part of the workshop but instead wanted to join the army so Charlotte was the boy's training partner they would spar every now and then, Charlotte would win a lot of them because Henry was terrible at hand to hand combat but that didn't stop him.
At age 21 Henry was able to join the army, Charlotte building him new gadgets for him to use whenever he dropped by the workshop, sometimes he would stay and have a coffee with Charlotte for them to catch up but most of the time he would just drop by, say hi and leave. Aaron was afraid but Charlotte did everything in her power to keep the old man from worrying to much.
Charlotte continues to grow and learn new things, and maybe she might even lead the world to improve.
Gear Goggles - She always carries a pair around, whether it was on her belt or on her head. Aviator Test spear Mk. 4 - The 4th version of a foldable spear that can be tucked in a person's belt, it could come in handy but it's still a bit finicky and may activate while on her belt. (It has happened before with the previous versions)
Fysallidakinesis: Marina tends to use Fysallidakinesis in combination with her hydrokinetic barriers. It’s good to be able to breathe underwater – especially if your diving gear isn’t with you or is compromised.
Hydrokinetic Barriers: Marina’s primary focus when it comes to her aether abilities is the creation of a “hard” water fields that can be used as shields, deep dive barriers, and containment fields.
Pressure Manipulation: Manipulating the water pressure around her can aid Marina when she is surrounded by pirates, raiders, or other sorts of antagonists. Requires focus and can exhaust Marina quickly if she’s not careful.
Purification: In certain situations Marina can focus on purifying any form of liquid she comes into contact with. She’s had to use this in certain parts of the ocean where ancient corruption magic has tainted the water to the point it is too dangerous to swim in.
Regenerative Water: The most difficult aether technique that Marina knows and probably the most valuable when things look the most dark. Similar to her purification techniques, but allowing to apply a transformative water to another person to reinforce their immune system and healing faculties.
My personal opinion on them, Ink, since you asked is that the pressure manipulation seems a little vague with what you specifically mean for it.
Can she just outright crush other divers? Make their suits implode? Push them away in an uncomfortable manner? All of the above? It's just a little unclear.
Or I'm too used to using an overanalytical way of thinking and it's way simpler than I'm thinking.

It is a little vague, yeah, but that’s kind of the point for me – detailing some specific abilities and just speaking on them in a general sense. I didn’t want to list it like a bunch of stock abilities like it was a video game since this is a collaborative story of sorts.
As for what Marina can do? I don’t think Marina can outright crush other divers, no, but I do think changing the pressure around them to make them sink a little faster or get pushed back further by the momentum of the tides is more of the wheelhouse of her capabilities within that particular ability. You have to think within the scope that Marina isn’t a child prodigy so her power threshold is probably a little bit smaller than others.
