Veritas had gotten himself set up rather nicely on the Earth-like planet Bonavista, and had been here for some time. He settled down on the planet, if you will, and had gotten rich by playing the markets and investing money (usually gold taken from the pirate’s “unlawful” actions against evil men) in new businesses that would take off. After a few years, he had made back a huge fortune and got himself a mansion in the mountains as well as a personal airliner. It wasn’t like he needed it, but it was the luxury of it all. And did he enjoy luxury. So then, why was he getting on a regular plane, in coach? Because the state had audited him and took most of his money, as well as his plane, which meant he was forced to make the trip for his court hearing on a regular plane.

But for now, he rested in the waiting area until his flight. There were many different races around, but Veritas was definitely in the minority. He waited with headphones in his ears but covered by his long black hair. He wore a long black coat over a black suit, with a dark blue shirt underneath the suit jacket. Many large airliners sat out on the strip, which the man stared at with longing. People hustled and bustled around him, but none of them mattered to the ninja.

He was just waiting for his flight…

He had continued to daydream about his plane until some satyr-kid sat directly into his view, which snapped him out and it had clearly upset Veritas. He turned his head and began to bounce it to the beat of his music, but then the kid had started to test some weird contraption that translated his speech. And that annoyed Veritas because his music wasn’t loud enough to cover it. He turned up the sound on his phone, which had a large, faded out yellow Y on the cover. But it was pointless, for at that time, the stewards called for the boarding of the plane.

He stood up and pulled his ticket out from inside his coat pocket, and held it out for the ticket checker. And once on the flight, he saw a very attractive human that had an empty seat beside her, and deity be damned on what his ticket said. If he had to travel in discomfort, it may as well be next to a gorgeous woman. He plopped right down next to her and pulled the buds out of his ear. With a quick motion, they disappeared and he turned to look at the (obviously discomforted) woman with a big grin on his face.

“Hey there, good lookin. How you doin tonight?”

The plane had taken off and still no one had bothered the ninja, so he felt like he was in the clear and the person who had bought the seat had not made it. And then he heard it suddenly…

“Move, worm.”

Veritas turned his head to see just who was speaking to him, and the moment his eyes glared at the face of the man from the terminal, the man suddenly had a deep conversation within his soul. Within Veritas’s soul room stood the primary “spirit”, which was the combination of Josh and Gren, two halves of a whole that lived separate from each other for eons. But these two forces were still very much their own selves as well, and would regularly communicate whenever a conflict happened. Josh was the “good” side of the spirit, while Gren was the “evil” side. And they would often conflict with each other on how to deal with any particular altercation. Such as this case where the two transparent halves spoke behind the main body.

”Did…did he just call me a worm?”

”Hey now…maybe he just misspoke and it didn’t come out right. Maybe Common isn’t his first language.”

”No no no…this is strike three. First, he sat down directly in our view. And then…he was utterly annoying. Now, he insults us.” The pale version pushed the smiling one out of the way. ”I’m gonna take care of this.”

The entire thing within the soul room happened in less than a second, and the ninja had soon stood up to stand eye to chest with the wide man. This didn’t intimidate the smaller shinobi, though, as he looked down into the man's eyes.

“Make. Me.” And with some added malice to the words, he added a bit of spit with his third. “Bitch.”

His adrenaline gland overloaded and the ninja entered his Bullet Time state from the moment the smaller humanoid’s foot shoved into the bottom of the plane. Everything about the motion of the younger man was easy to block for the ninja, as his Ether cloaks activate instantly. His body covered in a red and green aura that swirled around each other as his left arm came up to deflect the open hand of his opponent. His eyes moved rapidly as he read the motion of the wide man, and with his fire aura Veritas had the ability to increase his strength by ten times his normal amount. And with zero wind resistance combined with the ninja’s already inhuman speed, he had been able to reach out and grab the Pundambayan’s wrist before it was even able to get to the pirate’s elbow.

And that was where the young humanoid had messed up. The moment he grabbed the creature, his green aura was replaced with a brown one and in the same motion, the ninja moved his right leg in between the Pundambayan’s and twisted his body inward to shove his right shoulder into the man. No matter how tough he was, Veritas would likely pop Rakatah’s shoulder out of place from the force of his blow. But the real meat of the attack was when Veritas grabbed the wrist of the beastly man with his other arm in the same motion and swung him over his shoulder and onto the seats and other passengers in the way. The throw was similar to a judo throw, with the added attack to the chest and shoulder area. As well, from the moment the Earth Cloak activated, the plane had begun to tilt as there was far more weight on the side of the plane than any airliner would be used to holding.

It had been a simple reaction for the ninja, and something he does normally. Sure, some of the people might be dead, but the plane would need to be brought down anyway due to the ruckus, so Veritas thought to himself…

“Might as well have some fun with it.”

Well, that was an unexpected turn of events. He had yet to meet someone that could actually overpower his Earth Cloak, and this made things much more difficult for Veritas. He had only a short time before the large beastman slammed him headfirst into the seats and people behind them. When the plane shifted, the ninja took his opportunity and a yellow light flashed in his hand. A three-pronged kunai appeared and the moment it did, the ninja dropped it and in a flash of light, he had vanished from Rakatah’s grip right at the moment his head would have hit the floor.

Veritas reappeared at his opponent’s feet and he grabbed the kunai with his right hand before it touched the ground. He appeared in a crouched position with his left hand on the floor of the plane, and his body again emanated a red glow. The man was no longer in a good mood. All chances of that had vanished completely now. And while his opponent was still in a drop backwards, he struck. The ninja’s left leg shot out into a short sweep meant to take the large man’s legs completely out from under him, and in the same motion, he did a short somersault to drop a hard stomp on Rakatah’s upper abdomen area. With the amount of power behind the ninja’s attack due to his Fire Cloak, this attack would literally send the Pumdambayan through the floor and into the open air.

And the ninja would have no problem with a free fall fight. After all, he had plenty of abilities that would allow him to fly. And he also had no fucks to give about killing every single person on that flight. It was, after all, the reason he wanted his own plane so badly…so he wouldn’t have to deal with little shits ruining his day.
