Tomas McCoy

Tomas head lifted from the window of the train as the castle known as Hogwarts came into view from a distance. It's been two years since the second wizarding war and Tomas was a measley little third year at the time. Hogwarts was different back then though and he even imagined what might've changed about the familiar institute now. People on the train were hushed as they arrived mere miles from Hogwarts. A lot of people remember what happened not too long ago at the castle. It was really gruesome but good thing is, the team of Hogwarts came out on top.

The train came to a halt and he grabbed his small bag from the overhead compartment before exiting the compartment he was in with three other people, two whom he did not know. Tomas walked off the train and immediately went over to the boats, quickly getting on one and ready to go. He was more than excited to begin another year at Hogwarts and was even more eager to see how much Hogwarts had changed.

They arrived at the doorstep of Hogwarts and even though Tomas was excited before, he wasn't feeling the same as before. Him along with multiple people behind him were frozen a little bit and one girl even screamed, remembering the horrors from before. Tomas turned to eye the girl that screamed and shook his head then turned back towards the double doors that opened by themselves.

"Seems as if Hogwarts is ready for us." Tomas spoke in a rather creepy tone voice, scaring a few first years. He chuckled while walking right into the castle now, his eyes gazed around the facility and a scoff came from him. Not much had changed. Hell, it even looked like nothing had changed. Tomas thought it was awfully shameful that nothing about Hogwarts had changed.

As he continued to look around and such, the familiar aroma of a particular Hufflepuff dabbled at the nip of his nose. Tomas glared at the Hufflepuff briefly before dropping his bag onto the ground and marching, yes marching, over towards the Hufflepuff and immediately spoke with slight anger towards her. "Oh, you got a lot of nerve coming back here, doll." He said. "I hope you're ready for this year because I am taking you down. Again."

Of course, him and this particular had history. She is two years before him but boy, he has made it his mission to be better than her by any means necessary. Tomas continually stood there as he also continued to eye the female Hufflepuff.

Charlotte sat with her head leaned against the window. As they turned around the bend, the magnificent castle came into the distance. Charlotte was surprised that it looked the same since the Second Wizarding War. Even though it was two years ago, it felt like a lifetime ago. Now, a seventh year the young, freshly turned seventeen year old got off the train. Despite her being a seventh year, she was considered a lot younger compared to her wizard-colleagues, they were at least 6 months older than her. Seeing some first years in distress Charlotte guided them to their appropriate boat.

Arriving at the entrance, the castle was decorated from head to toe in house colors. Awaiting for the doors to open, Charlotte overheard a Slytherin speak slyly under his breath, scaring a few first years. Rolling her eyes she continued to show some of the wee first years to the Great Hall for their ceremony. Charlotte, a Hufflepuff prefect, waiting outside the Great Hall, to direct new Hufflepuffs to the Common Room noticed Tomas, a Slytherin, approaching her.

"Can I help you?" she asked, raising an eyebrow. 'You've gotta lot of nerve...'
"Excuse me? I don't know what you remember, but you didn't even take me down... in the first place. So, I don't know what makes you think you can... "again." I'm the head of my class and from what I know, you seem to be the last of yours. It's not my fault that your slimy colleagues did something against house rules." She stated with aggression with piercing eyes.

Since the past two years, Charlotte had matured... body wise and Tomas did as well. His previously round face now structured. Towering over her, Charlotte looked up at him and narrowing her green eyes. Watching him, she noticed he seemed to be examining her figure. "Ugh." she said as she turned on her heel and moved across the entry way.

As soon as the students exited the Great Hall, Charlotte casted lumos to get the first-year Hufflepuff's attention. As they gathered, she began to speak. "Hello everyone, my name is Charlotte and I am one of your prefects this year. Please follow me to our Common Room." With her wand in air as a guide for the large group that followed, she lead them to across the room to a staircase that lead to the dungeons, where the Common Room lay. As she walked across the room she gazed back at Tomas before looking ahead and leading her group down the stairwell.

Once in the common room, Charlotte explained to the first-years a minor break down of what to expect the following weeks and that she is happy to help them with anything they needed. "It's getting late, so everyone should have their assigned quarters. If you follow me, I can lead you to them." Leading the group down the hallway, she led them to their chambers.

At Hogwarts, students were not only separated by house but also by year. After she led the first-years, those merely 11 years old, she walked her way out to the courtyards to relax before going to her quarter.

Tomas felt Caroline's words drill into his ears as he scoffed at her words then had nothing else to say. "I'll be seeing you around, Hufflepuff." That was the only thing he could say as he saw the little first years coming out of the Great Hall now. Tomas rolled his eyes and grabbed his luggage then walked on over towards the Slytherin common room, where his friends were already there and unpacking.

"Hey, dude! Scare any first years already?" Jefferson asked him as Tomas chuckled then nodded his head. "Only a few, I did." Tomas responded while dropping his bag onto a nearby bed and sitting down upon it with a sigh. "I also ran into my arch nemesis, Caroline." Jefferson eyes widened as he leaned in closer towards Tomas with a little interest gleaming around him. "How was that?" Tomas shrugged his shoulders while looking out of the common room window for a moment before averting his eyes back towards Jefferson. "Same ol', same ol'."

Tomas spoke as Jefferson shook his head then went back to unpacking his stuff. "Dude. You cannot keep letting her win." Jefferson stated towards Tomas, who nodded his head then stood up from his laying down position and placed on his Slytherin robe. "I'm fixing to go to the Great Hall for the beginning of the year feast. See y'all there." Tomas said as he exited the common room, not at all unpacking but that's something he'd do later.

He walked down two flights of stairs then turned around a series of corners before waltzing into the Great Hall and sitting beside some Slytherin comrades. With others already present, chatter could be heard all around them and more people were walking into the Great Hall now, as well. Tomas eyes were locked and loaded on the door as he waited for Caroline to come through the door so they can go round two with each other.

Charlotte wandered her way back up from the courtyard, in order to get back to her quarters she had to pass the Great Hall. Meandering her way upstairs her black robe flew behind her with every step she took. She entered through a set of solid wood doors that had intricate designs carved into them. Stepping into the hall way she saw him sitting with a few other Slytherins.

Rolling her eyes she went and entered a mixed group of first-years, all in different houses. Their chatter quieted as she approached and Charlotte smiled. "Hi guys! Did you guys enjoy the feast? How was the sorting hat?" After she spoke their eyes light up and all began to speak at once, telling the fun things they experienced prior that evening. "My name is Charlotte, some of you may have met me earlier. I'm a Hufflepuff prefect!" A few of other older Hufflepuff's joined their group and they all started talking about their summer. One kid spend the summer taking apart muggle toys and creations. One kid spent the summer working on charms and potions. One spent their summer playing quidditch. Charlotte eased herself against the wall adjacent to them, pulling a muggle book out of her pocket, Shakespeare, she began reading.
