Soneillon is a traditional battlemage, quantifying the best qualities of a mage and a fighter into one single classification. Denizens of Vilra perceive him as a “bloodknight” due to his infamy and affiliation, though it is really just a catchall for an “evil” battlemage.

Description
Soneillon is the servant of the dark lord known as Azrael, a black-hearted sorcerer that seeks to diminish the power of the light and heighten his influence over the celestial kingdoms of Vilra. He is known for his incredible physical and magical abilities as well as representing one of the most dangerous criminals in recent history. In appearance his armor is the only known facet of his identity as he has never revealed his face to any of the heroes he has battled. Due to the dark magic that encompasses his armor his voice is distorted into a demonic like reverb. His armor is adorned with a dark blue cape and cowl and his helmet shows no sign of humanity. Most denizens of the kingdoms of Vilra presume “the bloodknight” to be a shell of armor that Azrael himself commands from his dark tower, though the truth of this is decidedly false.

Personality
Soneillon is a man of little words, though he hasn’t had someone personable in many years to strike a conversation he thinks is worth having. The people of Vilra view him as a silent, menacing figure and he finds it of some amusement they think he is a suit of armor wandering the lands heeding the call of Azrael’s magical whims. But Soneillon doesn’t care about people’s perspective of his existence or demeanor and that opinion carries on to his fellow “comrades in arms” that he has worked with in the past to gather magical items for Azrael’s collection. Honestly, what keeps Soneillon beating on is his resolve and determination to bring vengeance and suffering upon those that deserve it; though he never speaks on this to his enemies. He has no intention on discussing things with those who cross swords with him as he has resolve that goes beyond doubt; he has no insecurities when it comes to his purpose.

That said, Soneillon does not like his “master” nor does he align with his needless schemes to gain absolute power and cripple the kingdoms of the world. Really, he finds Azrael’s pursuits arbitrary and superfluous, though he would never speak of that to anyone. Soneillon has no friends and he likes it that way. The last time he had friends he suffered worse than a thousand knives and he does not ever ever want to face that kind of pain again. He’s made it certain that he won’t.

Talents & Affinities

Mundane Abilities
Master Swordsman
Soneillon has held a sword since he was a boy of three and ten and has served as a hedge knight up to the point that he was recruited by the dark sorcerer, Azrael. Since serving as Azrael’s “bloodknight” he has fought countless adventurers and would-be heroes in his mission to gather magical items. Azrael has remarked that even before Soneillon joined his service as his finest warrior he was most likely the most naturally skilled swordsman of his generation.

Magical Abilities
Alteration Magic
Otherwise known as the ability to use magic to enchant items with extranormal effects and invoke teleportation abilities, Soneillon’s primary spellcasting depends on the alteration school of magic. He often uses this to transmutate his armor or his sword though he has on occasion used it in other capacities such as creating an opening in a dungeon or fiddle with the makeup of an enemy’s weapon.

Abjuration Magic
There comes times when Soneillon needs to protect himself with magical energy from another sorcerer or a mob of archers. Whilst Soneillon’s focus is on alteration magic it is clear that abjuration is his secondary focus right after it (with evocation and the rest following). Soneillon can create massive barriers that surround him in a sphere and as long as he focuses can move freely until his stamina runs low.

Evocation Magic
Soneillon often needs to rely on distance spells to deal with large mobs of enemies thus it is one of the reasons he has become a capable sorcerer within the evocation school of magic. Relying on utilizing cosmic magical energies to create lightning bolts, fireballs, and sudden gusts of wind, Soneillon can deal with a contingent of armed guards or use such magic to create an opening for a tactical retreat.

Restoration Magic
The weakest of four schools of magic when it comes to Soneillon's competency and knowledge. But healing wounds with magic is ideal for any combatant.

Princess of Oriole, current holder of the Star of Vardinon.

Description
Daughter of King Luscinio Rafael and Queen Ismene Ellone, heir to the throne of the Oriole Kingdom. Having poor health as a child, she was kept in the castle for much of her childhood. It wasn't until she reached the age of sixteen that her father deemed her well enough to make public appearances, although she was never alone, always surrounded by guards. She was educated in her kingdom's history and geography, although has never been outside the city limits. When she requested to get to know her kingdom outside the city, her father immediately denied, citing that she needed to stay where it was safest. Recently she has taken a liking to getting out of the castle on her own, mingling with the commonfolk and getting to know the city.

Personality
A seemingly demure young woman, around the castle Aurelia certainly plays the part of princess well. She is graceful, kind, and polite, always carrying an air of authority and dignity as she was raised. Of course, having been stuck in the castle for so long made her restless, adding an endless curiosity that can never quite be quenched by the thousands of books in the library. One would think this would leave her reclusive, but instead it has led her to have a lack of reaction to situations that would often trouble or surprise others. It takes a lot to completely shock her, and even then her reaction is rather subdued all things considered. Her upbringing has also left her quite opinionated, if only because few servants had the gall to tell the princess what she couldn't say. She is rather direct as a result, bluntly giving people a piece of her mind whether they want it or not.

Having very little to do outside her studies has left Aurelia as a rather talented and knowledgeable woman. Her mischievous side tends to get her in trouble more often than not, and her lack of hesitation enabling her to make her decisions with a clear head. She does tend to get pouty if things don't go her way, often voicing her displeasure. Overall she tries to hide a rather lonely side, feeling left out of the happenings around the castle.

Talents & Affinities

Mundane Abilities
Considering boredom is the epitome of her day once her studies are done, Aurelia has thrown herself into a multitude of activities: sewing, horse riding, ballet, playing several instruments, singing, dancing, painting, sculpting, star gazing...the list goes on, with nary an end in sight.

Fencing
Having practiced since her father finally gave into her begging, though a downgrade since he refused to let her practice with actual swords. She has often outpaced many of her teachers with her speed alone, though she has put an absurd amount of time into the sport. Once she managed to get her hands on an epee, she was nearly unstoppable, though her current tutor is trying to teach her to use less flourish and style in favor of more practical moves.

Archery
Her longest running hobby, she finds archery to be on the boring side of things, but it was a great excuse to get out, so she kept up the practice. Her aim is exceptional,able to hit her targets while moving with ease. She used to love practicing while riding a horse, though after falling off once, her father forbade it and she was relegated to practicing it on the ground.

Magical Abilities
A majority of her magic comes from the Star, although the full extent of her abilities has yet to be determined, considering she'd led a life surrounded by guards and has never had a need to properly defend herself. Without the Star, there are very few magics she can accomplish herself, although her regenerative abilities seem to be native, gained from holding the Star for so many years. Her magic is kept under tight wraps, with only the royal family having any knowledge of it. The bulk of her magic comes from Energy Manipulation, as most of her magic solidifies in the form of crystals. Said crystals are often tinted with a light blue color, normally having a jagged edge as she is usually forced to practice in secret.

Restoration Magic
The Star is constantly taking in mana, and as a result Aurelia's wounds often patch themselves up. Scratches and cuts heal themselves within a few minutes, with more serious wounds taking more time. She suspects that the Star wants to keep her safe and thus grants her this ability, though it is only guesswork as she has no way of knowing it for sure considering the previous holder has long since passed. A normally passive ability, she can speed it up at the expense of taking more energy, though taking too much can result in an instability she would rather not get to.

Conjuration Magic
While she incorrectly calls it 'summoning', this ability manifests in creating objects. The most common usage of this is creating her makeshift sword based off one of the legendary swords of Oriole and a bow. As they are made of mana, their attacks lean more on the magical side of things. The crystal objects have a tendency to be much more dense than their counterparts, though she has found if she lessens the mana, the weapons become more brittle. Therefore she usually has to concentrate to bring them out. Smaller objects are easier to make, and she has sculpted things a few times for fun. She's managed to erect a barrier once, though it was rather thin and broke once she hit the wall.

Evocation Magic
Put simply, a burst of energy without any sort of specific shape or form. She has described it as wielding fire at times, as the raw energy tends to burn whatever it comes into contact wit. Tends to happen when she wields more mana than she can handle, with her crystals often shattering and eruption in a burst of energy instead of quietly dissipating as it usually does.
