Okay, three players + me as the GM/Another Player

I will NOT assign your social class or race, you can combo any of them together.
You want to have a Noble Kobold? Go for it.

You can have as many characters as you wish, but I recommend no more than two.
However, you don't always need to have them around, you can have characters pop in, and then leave, just make sure you let people know that's what you're doing. Not all adventures end the way they began afterall :)

Something I forgot to include in the thread, you can have pets. However, if you want something dangerous (eg, something similar to a Jurassic Park Velocir Raptor, you'll need to be a powerful mage/wizard)

Any particular limits on magic and stuff? Currently thinking about some kind of Kobold or lizard necromancer.

Hard to put a limit on a power level, but depending on your magic proficiency

For something like a Necromancer, here's examples of power level

Novice: Resurrect a basic Skeleton, pretty weak, killed in a single hit
Adept: Resurrect multiple undead (Skeletons, fresh corpses, rotting corpses, etc) harder to take down (including animals like Bears)
Master: Resurrect pretty much anything, with a maximum of 15 humanoid corpses at once
There's a tier above master, reserved specifically for NPC's though

Can you give me examples of power level for like a pretty generic spellcaster. And psychic abilities what about those.

Generic spell caster would be somewhere between novice and adept

So - Fireballs/Iceballs/etc, a simple spell to heal minor wounds (shallow cuts, bruises, muscle pain, etc), a spell to hold more possessions than they'd normally be able to carry (think a bag that makes everything mini until you take it out of said bag)

If you want a spell that you think might be too OP, just ask - I may say yes/offer suggestions to make it less OP

@Metadude aye I think I'll make a scheming lizard man necromancer, start him off at novice level though and advance him as time goes on. I'll assume I'll be allowed to give him the standard disease or shadow magic so he isnt totally helpless when there are no bodies around?

Since he's a novice, I'd stick to just simple poison type magic - however he can learn to provide illness/disease as he powers up :)

@Metadude that's fair enough, any information I should know about my race or how necromancy is viewed outside of 'it bad' or are you going to leave the world building to the players through their backstories and such?

If you're a Kobold, your character would have a partial Shaman background

But, if you're a Drast, you can have any background you like, they have many sub-species/cultures - so go nuts

@Metadude hmmm I may have an upper class family with high expectations from their children so my character started dabbling in the darker arts to try and contend with his siblings. Gives my character alot of options for future development. Hmm having him be nobility could set the stakes higher.

Whichever works for you, if you go for Nobility, my OC Lizard can travel with them as a sidekick ha ha

Sounds cool although my guy will probably be up for some dodgy stuff so I hope he isnt too against that stuff.

Addition: You can have psychic abilities, most basic being sensitivity to peoples emotions, more advanced being surface level mind reading, higher is full mind reading, then onto other things like mind control/etc

Also, at least some use comes from the Jul M'dama name since Halo 5 wasted it XD
