In the cool yet humid night, Sonya frowned as she looked out from a grassy hill, shortly before the thoughts of her mother came upon her mind. There was a very vague memory left behind about the woman's existence, and just by looking up at the sky, one of them came back. It was about that time where she had watched the stars with her one night, along with the time when she innocently touched her mother's pregnant belly with her tiny little hands. It was only then that she remembered a tiny sliver of her mother telling her to "protect her brother" and "stay alive". As these memories recalled themselves, the female hedgehog had her green eyes closed, with arms crossing over her chest.

Her eyes finally opened, as the wind gently blew passed where she and Sonic stood; it felt good upon her spikes. In the distance, she took a gaze at some lights in the distance. Streetlights! They were near a local spot. She looked at Sonic next to her, before racing off, going so fast down the lighted spot where anybody can make out trailing blue blurs. Sonya had her eyes placed in front of her while making her full advance down the road. 'At a time like this, I'm not really where we should take this night-run. Guess we could follow the lights; see where they lead', the female hedgehog thought to herself, while she and Sonic dashed down the road. A few cars came before her, and she evaded them with ease. The faster she went, the more the city architecture seemed to be getting bigger.

It was late that night and Dr.Daniel was still in her lab in an undisclosed location somewhere around the city. While she was busy typing away on a keyboard about her latest findings on a previously done experiment, suddenly she got an rather impromptu message late that night. As the notification on her keyboard signaled, her eyes moved over and noticed the image on her screen summoning her. She quickly saved her research and then opened up a channel. Suddenly she would see a black silhouette faded out on her computer as she typed a few commands and turned up the volume on her pc.

"My sources say that a certain little blue hedgehog has been spotted around town as of late,Daniel. I want you to deal with him." An all too familiar forceful and demanding voice said to her as she turned on the live feed.

"Sonic, you want me to intercept and combat him at this hour at night, don't you think it's a tad bit late for a ambush, sir?" Ophelia asked.

"My dear, I pay you to be on call 24/7. It is in your contract to be ready at a moment's notice to deal with that meddlesome rodent and his pesky friends when I feel the need. Now, whatever you're working on isn't as important as the capture of Sonic. I want you to be ready and out there to capture him while he has his guard down. Are we clear, Daniel?"

"Of course sir, I don't usually go to bed for about three more hours so I think I can deal with Sonic if he's in the vicinity. You can count on me!" She said on her microphone into the computer.

"I better, I'm paying you a lot of money and not for your research. Now, get out there and capture Sonic before he gets away!" Dr.Eggman ordered.

"At once, sir!" She said as she turned off the feed and stood up before stretching.

While it was in the evening, Ophelia knew it was best to at least attempt to capture the doctors's nemesis instead of disobeying his orders. She needed the money and to look like she was lazing around on the job would be inexcusable. Thus the doctor quickly moved over to grab her purse and raygun. Thankfully she hadn't changed for her night clothes and was still in her normal black combat dress, minus her pink slippers at the door of course. The slightly tall salmon pink fured vulpine quickly turned on her security system and walked out of her basement to her living room before proceeding to her door. However, when she opened her door she saw that her two children, Cyrus and Cyrene were still playing videogames in the living room as she moved down the hall.

"Now kids, mommy has to run a night errand, so I want you two to go to bed around 9:00." She said to her kids as they paused their game and looked around at her.

"Aww, do we have to?" Cyrene asked her

"Yes honey, sleep is crucial for your education." Ophelia replied to her daughter.

"Okay, but come back soon mom." Cyrus said as he looked at her with his sibling.

"I'll try to, I just have been called for a very important business matter to attend to. Now when you're done with your game remember your bedtimes. I do not want to have to wake you up late tomorrow morning, are we clear?" She asked them now with a hint of sternness in her voice.

"Yes ma'am" both of them said as they nodded.

After she made sure both of them had heard her demand and were unaware of what she was about to do she calmly moved over to the door and put her slippers on. She acted calmly and tried to make it seem like this was going to be yet another boring business call, yet in reality she was preparing for a rather sporadic clash with Sonic.

Sonya continued to dodge cars and trucks, from left to right, and repeating the pattern. Her focus were on the obstacles before her, and the only instinct was to, obviously, avoid them. As much as resting in the city was optional, sometimes it felt right to sleep with the natures of the night, but a gut-feeling told her to stay in the city. She continued to follow the lights down the road, with Sonic in tow, until something caught the attention of her green eyes. With a skid on the ground, she came to a screeching halt near an alley way.

Walking inside, she took glances around her; at the objects; at the many surfaces. The many possibilities. Looking down, she spotted some sticks; thick enough to hold, and tough enough to withstand strong forces. Looking around, she started to beat on the many surfaces, as if creating a rhythm. Apart from her desire to run, Sonya had quickly grown fond of music, especially percussion. It helped her be at ease; it helped keep her focus. Banging on the trashcans with the sticks, as well as other flat surfaces she can reach, she let the noise surround her.

Ophelia had left her house after she made sure her children were unsuspecting of the clash she was about to cause, however once she stepped outside she realized that she had forgotten to inquire from the doctor about Sonic's exact whereabouts. At this she signed for a moment realizing her folly. However, she then contemplated that trying to ask the doctor for the directions of a speeding blue hedgehog may look very unprofessional.

"Great, I guess I'm going to do this the old fashioned way." Daniel said to herself as she began to walk out of her walkway and into the sidewalk.

It was nighttime and most humans and other Mobians were indoors, yet city nightlife continued. However, as the vulpine lady walked down the street while staying on alert many didn't really see her as an abnormality. Nocturnal Mobians were quire common in the dusk hour, especially when they were vulpine. Nobody really noticed her safe for her salmon pink fur as well due to her dark dress looking rather casual for pedestrians at this time of hour. Still, the doctor had to find Sonic otherwise she would be in trouble, trying to find one person in an entire city, all the while said person was super fast would be a daunting challenge to say the least.

The noise surrounded the two hedgehogs, and Sonya only stopped, as soon as the creative part of her brain had began to leave her. Smiling in satisfaction, the female hedgehog set the sticks aside, before zooming out of the alley, and back into the opening where one of the streetlights shined. Gesturing to the male, she continued in her stride through the city, having to only stop when they see something diverting their attention. The wind rushed by some people, only able to see the blue blurs in the street.

[[Could you perhaps play as Sonic?]]

Ophelia had been walking until her hears began to twitch. Her vulpine hearing had detected the feint noise before it was silenced. However, she quickly attributed this to either some pattern of machine or some sort of performance that was none of her concern. Like in Apotos, street musicians were a common thing and since culture varied it was not uncommon for young artists to try to preform at night. However, once Sonya came into the spotlight she glanced and observed what was going on. Then she spotted Sonic, before the two of them sped off. At this she tensed up, yet remained calm and tried to move through the crowd to follow them. While she knew she couldn't be able to keep up, following in their general direction may lead to their wherebaouts.

((OOC: I could try, but I'm not the best when it comes to hero characters. TBH it would be better if I was playing his evil self, Scourge.I mean, I can be him, but please don't expect %100 authenticity.))

Sonya continued to run; all the while not having any idea that she and her brother were being followed. She enjoyed the noise of the drums she just played in the alley, and the experience only left a few vibrations in her head that’s only continuing to enhance her focus, both physically and mentally. The female hedgehog just can’t do total, dead silence; she’d prefer extroverted environments...with a little sprinkle of the introverted. Going through the city was really an eye-seeker, but nothing beats the city-life with a scenery filled with animals and greenery. That was when she decided that they will go sight-seeing outside the city, to which they do almost every day. It was part of their daily routine as natural-born drifters.
