Victoria's father is the local clocksmith for their little city. He is incredibly intelligent and talented with his tools. And even beyond clocks he has been known to tinker with mechanical inventions. But nothing very practical, it is meant to be an entertaining hobby, not a way to make money. Victoria learned quite a bit from her father, in the fields of physics, mathematics, engineering, and many more. She is probably one of the more book smart women in the state of Georgia. However, her passions have been frowned upon for a long time. As the rest of the city believes she has one purpose to work towards- finding a husband and becoming a caregiver and mother.

◄ Being stubborn means it is hard for Victoria to be swayed in arguments where she feels she is clearly in the right.
◄ She has been known to smoke a cigar now and again, specifically in more social settings.
◄ She tries to be ladylike, however it is hard when her buttons are pushed too much. She can have a short fuse.

She has a ragdoll cat she calls Remmy. Her mother passed away when she was 15, but was able to get along fine with just her father. She lost her youngest sister in a tragedy when Victoria was 18.

Viewed from a distance, Xavier gives the impression of a geek. And perhaps that is fair enough. But he actually stays in excellent health with good muscle tone and physique. He wears wire rim glasses that make him look even more intelligent, but he doesn’t need them to read.
Xavier is a poor judge of fashion, though he could do worse. But if simple options present themselves, he takes them. His pockets are normally filled with a variety of testing items and the occasional penlight and telescoping mirror, telescoping supermagnet grabber. He also always carries a deck of cards and a single casino chip from Vegas. His usual outer garment is a black Matrix-styled duster when not actually in a lab.
Jewelry and Tattoos: None
► Trait Stage Magic (sleight of hand - card tricks and coin sleights being the main talent)
► Trait Theoretical and Applied Physicist
► Trait Semi Fluent in a few languages (besides English).
Japanese - accented (loves watching anime in Japanese)
Spanish - accented
French - badly accented and will certainly be asked to stop. Tried to learn this to impress girls.
Russian and German - enough to order food, exchange pleasantries, and discuss physics.
► Trait Extraordinarily smart and knows it. Bit of a brat about it, though not too awful bad. In fact, he doesn’t consider himself so much as smart, as creative and able to connect facts. He has trouble figuring out why abstract concepts so clear to him pass over the heads of others.
► Trait He tends to be protective of people he is responsible for, often diverting blame onto himself, rather than let others suffer for his bad judgments.

Biography - In 2149 Earth received a miracle in the form of a child of humble origins. Little is known of his parents or early childhood. He was an orphan since approximately the age of 5. What is known is that he was born naturally - that is with no prenatal care or genetic advantages. He was purely the product of natural selection likely to what people used to call “white trash” parents. As he was found in Las Vegas gambling is suspected as the cause of Xavier’s status as an orphan and the gunshot wound he was discovered with.
He might never have been discovered if not for pure luck. He had hidden for 2 whole days in the space between the floors of the library. But eventually he started to get hungry and in need of something to fight infection. He knew that a gunshot wound would draw attention from the Law. And as he was Unchipped that would instantly place him in The System. So he tried to buy everything he could get for the 20 C note in one trip. He walked up to the counter and waited for the total. He had added up the total in his head – but hadn’t accounted for the tax. While arguing with the cashier he passed out. And this would prove the best thing that could have happened to him.
The caseworker assigned to him did the usual follow up, saw that his money was returned. Technically the boy wasn’t entitled to any but the most basic medical care. But being a victim of a crime, his treatment was bumped up a grade. The usual Q & A brought Xavier’s math skill to the case worker’s attention. So the man ran a simple test with Xavier. He asked the boy a few questions – simple math. Xavier rolled his eyes and responded. The boy didn’t even realize the math was at least 5 years ahead of where he should have been. That got the caseworker to thinking that Xavier might have been kidnapped from a wealthy family – or lost.
Xavier soon found himself a ward of the State, but in a wealthier part of The System. He immediately found he had clean clothing, a quiet and private room indoors, regular food. They called it a “proper learning environment.” But it was really just a gilded cage as far as he could tell. Next they wanted to give him all sorts of tests. At first there were 50 kids, then 10, and the numbers trickled down from there. Soon he was alone and the “teachers” seemed excited. Xavier, however, was bored. He asked them to stop giving him tests and give him something to do.
So they decided to place him in a mainstream private school for the Gifted. What happened was what they were afraid of. Within a year he had so many black marks on his record for fights and academic dishonesty that he was expelled. For the next 5 years it went like that. At age 11, he demanded his bachelor’s degrees. He had forged a new ID and tested out on every course he needed. He then posted his test results and ID’s the school holonet.
At 17 Dr Xavier Thomas became the youngest person in history to receive a Nobel Prize in Physics. His IQ was estimated to be around the 250 mark, making him quite literally the “smartest man in human history.” (Unfortunately he’s been told this a few too many times.)
