You and the strangers you find yourself with have just read the note hung above the dying fire. The coldness of the air nips at your skin, and the foggy map towards the pictured door haunts your mind. You find it hard to remember exactly what you were doing before waking up here, but things slowly come back in time.

Regardless of what was, you now have to deal with that is: Being stranded in a fantasy-like situation, in an alien setting, with strangers who look about as confused as you feel. The cabin you stand in is comprised of one massive room, with one half being taken up by the odd bed arrangement and the fireplace.

On the other side, you see a kitchen, a dining table, and some cupboards. Along the counter-top different dishes and food preparation items are ordered neat and clean. The wind is still harsh, and judging by the light streaming in from between the shaking window-boards, the sun is either setting or rising. You are left with the feeling that whoever wrote that note, should be returning relatively soon.

If they aren't back already.

What do you do?

With the tears forming in his eyes coupled with his terrible eyesight and lack of glasses, Eunha could only stare blearily at the short note that hung in front of him and a few others. He couldn't tell any defining features of these people, but he could very well tell that they were just as confused as he was. Even if he could read the note that greeted him upon waking in such a strange place, it would not quell his quick heart and utterly terrified expression; in fact it would probably make it multiple times worse.

What was he even doing before he fell asleep and ended up here? He could tell he was wearing a simple t-shift and shorts, but it wasn't something he could use to determine where he was currently. He didn't have his glasses on him and both of his wrists were firmly wrapped in offset white bandages, which were immediate red flags if the boy could focus on what was going on. Instead he was just staring at what he assumed was other people moving around in blurry messes Eunha couldn't process, tears freely rolling down his cheeks as he sucked in a weary breath in attempts to calm his trembling form.

"I don't u-understand wh-what's... He sobbed quietly in his Korean mother tongue, his eyes practically shining because of the tears in the them. ...I-I want to g-go h-home... He hiccuped soon after, too distraught to realize that no one could probably understand him. Instead his eyes darted to and fro, his arms rubbing each other in attempts to relax.

After she finished reading the note, Esther took a deep breath, then let it out slowly, trying not to let the mounting anxiety in her gut bubble out. This situation was... more than she had ever thought would happen to her, if she was entirely honest. She'd never even been in a fight before, unless you counted the one time she decked a dude who called her a towelhead. And even then, that was only the one time. How was she gonna defend herself in some... weird fantasy world, with monsters and shit? And for that matter - and here she glanced at the sobbing Eun-ha - how was she gonna defend others?

Esther let out a quiet "Hmph." and began pacing back and forth in front of the bed she had woken up in, muttering to herself. "Okay, what was I doing before this? I was... asleep, I think. I had just made some more progress on that song, and it was really late, so I decided to call it a day and go to bed, since I had class tomorrow and I needed to go to bed at a semi-decent time. And then..." She looked up suddenly, at the room, its inhabitants, and the picture above the fireplace. "And then I woke up here." Esther paused for a few seconds. "...Fuck, I have class tomorrow." She resumed her pacing, grumbling invectives under her breath. "If this shit makes me lose my scholarship I am gonna have words with whoever fuckin' brought us here, I swear to God. Gonna beat the piss outta them and sell their organs on the black market or something..." She continued in that vein for a while, channeling her anxiety into anger, oblivious to the others in the room.

Wilhelm rubbed his eyes, he was still drowsy from waking up in this strange placed, after he read the note he looked around. He clearly was not in his house anymore, probably not London either; the room was too large. There are multiple beds however, mayhaps it is a hospital? No,no there aren't enough patients for that, the patients seem to be moving around well enough as well....

After examining the room the doctor took note of the rather strange group gathered before him, on the whole they were dressed in strange garments that he had never seen before Easterners perhaps? No perhaps not, very strange, very strange.. without regard for the confusion or fear many of the others had put on display Wilhelm asked "What is this place? Is this the King's attempt to stop my righteous work? Where is my equipment?" after waking up he had found himself stripped bare of his usual robes, instead he was dressed in a simple white shirt and brown pants, leaving his pale somewhat scarred face on display.

Wyonna blinked at the note she had just read. Then she blinked at it again. It was written on paper. Paper! No holovid or holoscreen. The small fact kind of blew her mind. When she had studied on Earth she had once had the occasion to visit a physical library. The old books had been carefully preserved and only authorized individuals could handle the delicate tomes.

As the others around her cleared she moved closer to the piece of paper. She raised a callused hand. The rough grooves of the paper sent thrills through Wyonna's fingers.

"Amazing." Wyonna murmered. Vaguely she was aware of people speaking around her but all her attention was focused on this lovely aberration. She knew from history classes that paper use used to be rampant all over the system. But now it was outlawed. Not because of the lack of wood to be made into pulp. But because of conversation laws. So the fact there was this small paper was here was all kinds of astounding.
