Act One: The Seeds of Heresy
Rain drenched and poured above Platos Gamma and it's nearby forested region. The time of water was upon the city as it's monthly flooding season was now upon the denizens of the city. While atmospheric conditions were stable and the world was quite habitable, it was also very temperate and prone to flooding. Water soaked all below it as enough to fill up entire rivers was displaced from the heavens unto the city. Normally this would be fine for everyone who lived in the hive city, except for everyone who lived in the under-hive where the waters would seep into the sewage system and potentially flood many of the lower regions. Dradanska was known for this threat, in fact that is the real reason Platos Gamma was made. Sadly however, like many areas in the Imperium it's maintenance had gone by the wayside for millennia and thus these floods were so abundant that many in the underhive would resort to boat as transport in the depths of the city.
In one of the flooded canal ways of the underhive, a small wooden and crudely made boat was being oared through the now artificial river created by the flooding. There were two passengers, one was a woman in a cloak and the other seemed to be a man moving the oar down the flow of water. As this makeshift water transported waded down through the canal everything was silent save for the gushing of dirty water. The entire event wouldn't go noticed by anyone important, yet some onlookers around the edge of the receding water would observe this movement as the rowed boat floated east of the underhive.
Soon the makeshift boat would flow and weave towards what would be a makeshift port out of salvaged metal with a pipe and was more likely where lines were secured in making of the interior tunnel network. The oarsman tossed out a rope over the pipe and maneuvered the oar towards the boat towards it. Next to the pipe were two guards standing, but in reality they were two cultists. They motioned for the oarman to drag the line and the boat over to them. Once he was able to they helped steady the crude boat as they helped the hooded figure out of it. She stepped onto the metal dock and soon around them an aroma of nauseous smells filled around them. Yet they had on masks and thus they were not able to inhale this. Instead they grabbed her hand and helped her stand upright once more.
"Sister Festor, it's good you made it on time. The Societies meeting is about to begin." A rather cracky and garbled voice came from one of the men wearing a mask on.
"Gooooooooooooooodddd." Came what would only be described as a sickly, yet feminine voice from the lady with the hood on.
Soon they opened what would be the hatch to a sewage port and guided her inside as they closed the port once she entered and they motioned for the oarsman to detach the line and move onwards. As the loud clank of the hatch was heard from being sealed the oarsman pulled off his rope and the other two helped push his boat out of their dock and back to flow down the large flooded tunnel network once more.
