His mutation caused the regularly 6'6 male to grow to the height of 8'11, with a slightly wider and more firm frame to come with it. This form came with inhuman strength, surpassing that of even strong werewolf warrior.

This is a fairly close idea of what the body type looks like, though the height is smaller the character's.

He also does not have the beard pictured, and his hairstyles change from time to time, the photo was mainly selected for the body, which is muscular, and covered in runic tattoos.

Descriptive Songs

Significant to his loss of two wives and his only daughter, this once well-rounded, mighty man has been emotionally broken down into a state of despair. His self esteem utterly decimated, he's only confident in his ability to fight.

The giant has only ever known his life to be bloodshed, and watching all he's ever cared about being slaughtered at some point eventually transformed this once ordinary male into a manifestation of wrath, his hatred being the fuel to many a bloodlust that have taken thousands of lives, whether in war, murder, or other conflict.

Biography

Hailing from the long forgotten isles of Jeheria, in the frozen north, Halvar's beginning was a simple one, growing up in a village with his clan. Around the age of 15, his village came into war with the islands vampire clans over territory, and while the war seemed to be a lost effort, he saw his village burn and all that he knew and cared about stolen from him

Only a young swordsman at the time, he'd tried to evacuate as many of his kin from the battlefield as the experienced warriors held a front. He rescued few and scattered that he could find. One of which, being his childhood best friend, of which he still attempts to keep in touch with.

After moving away from the area, the desperate man tried the study of necromancy, but after seeing it's effects, even on the dead that could be restored to a humanoid form, with a soul bound to the body, he knew it would never truly be the same. He continued his studies and weapons training in another small village, where in the passing years, he married and had his first-born daughter, which were also lost in a future vampire raid.

He'd fought in many wars after, against the vampiric kind and at the age of 23, while peaking at his necromantic studies in help of the war effort, he sought more power against his foes. Entering a blood pact, he'd paid the price of a thousand souls for the ability to never age, yet this power demanded from him. A cult of black mages had entranced and imprisoned him, over the time period of 5 years he was then bodily altered, (creating his large stature). For 4 of the 5 years, he oversaw a underground-slavery system. Given his sword-arm, his now towering presence, and the power he held, he was both a terror to the cult, and the slaves simultaneously.

In his own freedom from this life, he'd organized and rallied an army of the enslaved, and after fully, and bloodily liberating the cult's grip on the area, the "general" had retired to a distant island, of which he wed another woman for 30 years, bearing no children. After she was killed during her own adventures, the giant now wanders alone, fighting with his own mind about the things he's seen, blame he places upon himself, and with no plan ahead of him. He simply exists.

Herman, the Old Mercenary

______________
Name: Herman Cyrasse
Player: Nerdy Reference
Gender: Male
Nicknames: Old Man, Sir, Old Ironspine, The Siegebreaker (at the height of his fame)
Race: Human
Class: Knight/Scout
Alignment: Lawful Neutral
Deity:
Age: 48
Size: Medium
Body Type: Aging, but athletic
Height: 6'2
Weight: 195
Complexion: Fair
Hair: Grey
Eyes: Blue
Handedness: Right
Scars: Numerous old flesh wounds, a distinctive cut on his left cheek.
Relationship Status: Single
Personality: Possesses confidence and caution born of experience. Never raises his voice, but rarely goes unheard. Always honors a contract, though if he finds his employer lied to him or otherwise acted unprofessionally he never works for them again. When not on the job, he's quiet, preferring the company of a full tankard to other people. Always polite, but never really social.
Mannerisms: Always sits facing the door, unless the only seating is outside, then he remains standing or leans against a nearby wall. Rises early; makes a deliberate point of being up before others when in the field. When he's drinking, it's wise to step loudly and slowly; the deeper in his cups, the quicker he is to pull a blade on any perceived threat. In battle, he's decidedly grim in word and action, only speaking to give orders and always striking to kill.
Likes: Drinking, getting paid, honest work, minimal risk to himself, a good brawl
Dislikes: Assassins, stale beer, being left for dead, being bothered during a meal, low-class brothels, dishonorable behavior
Sexual Affinity: Heterosexual

Connections:
-Old Comrades: Herman has served in many campaigns and completed countless contracts. In most cities and some small towns, there's bound to be at least a couple favors he can call in if the situation demands.
-Ironheart Company: Reputation matters for a soldier of fortune. The Ironheart Company is one of the more respectable mercenary bands out there, selling their skills to nobles and citizens of note, and, when he was young, Herman fought under their banner. He left to seek his own way in the world, but his sword-arm and integrity left him many friends among his old band. Given a worthwhile cause, they'd gladly fight alongside him.
Friends:
Marissa 'Mage-Hunter' Walker: Sometimes, competition fosters camaraderie. Both Herman and Marissa were hired to put down a group of renegade mages that had taken up residence near Plainsborough. Payment was by the kill and both went all out for top score. In the end, it was a draw with the final foe dying to the near-simultaneous strikes of Herman's blade and Marissa's crossbow. Nearly two decades his junior, Marissa regards him as a example to work towards and worries for the old man.
Enemies:
-Griswold Blackblade: A grizzled, brutish mercenary. Herman and Griswold have crossed blades in many campaigns, and their spectacular duels over the years are popular bar-talk for young adventurers and old soldiers. As they've aged, they've come to respect each other and, though he'd gladly chop off Herman's head, Griswold grudgingly admits to himself that it'd be hard to move on after losing such a skilled and persistent rival.
Family: None, Herman was an only child; his parents were unremarkable farmers tending a homestead that's long since been razed by bandits.
Acquaintances:
-Satisfied Customers: It's hard to dislike someone who's good at their job. Herman has worked for members of all walks of life, and he can usually count on someone in major cities having work or leads for him.

Herman's no hero. He's a blade for hire who happens to be very good at his job, or at least very bad at dying. While he has a code of professional conduct, he's no saint and has fought for less-than-noble causes when money was tight and food scarce. He'll stand by those who fight beside him, but, at this point in his life, all that matters to him is pressing on towards the end of a long, bloody road.

Biography

In an uncertain world filled with threats both mundane and magical, mercenaries are a fact of life. Most are cannon fodder, bought en masse to win some skirmish or prove a point. Rarely, one rises above the common sellswords and emerges a champion. Nobles bid for their skills, nations rise and fall by their blades, and bards sing of their triumphs. Herman Cyrasse is one of these.
Well, he has been. In his prime, there were none who could challenge him. Even as age catches up with him, he's a force to be reckoned with not only due to his skill in battle, but also the experience of a true survivor. That said, he's kind of been looking forward to dying in battle, not eager by any measure, but he'd much rather go down fighting than in a bed.
With hair the same steely gray as his massive two-handed sword, Herman looks every bit the old soldier. Numerous scars on both his body and gear serve as clear indicators to all who see him: This old man won't go down quietly.
Recent tensions on the Island of Fray have drawn the aging sellsword like a fat buck does a huntsman, and he's rather curious to see who'll pay the most for his services once it all boils over.

Human Form: A tall, tan woman hiding blue eyes under bangs of silver hair. Her dreads tie up in the back, obscured by a headdress of red and white feathers, multitudes of wooden beads looped around every lock. A variety of leather pouches hang from her chest and belt all filled with assortments of minerals and herbs, all a mark of her medical practice. Crimson markings stained to her skin show her past tribe's glory, hidden under her ripped attire consisting of a coat, brassiere, tights, and leather boots, all black and worn out through her adventures.

Werewolf Form: A dark bluish-gray wolf bearing the same tribal marks as her human state. Her transformation undergoes an illusion like state, the human girl's colors fading into thin air before forming the wolf's silhouette in her arcane's crimson shade, smoke filling the beast into reality.

Biography
Rida Blackclaw was an alpha of her tribe and was forced into the role of chief by custom, being the oldest child of the council. She grudgingly accepted, foolishly treating it like nothing of major. Even though she wasn't in favor of that responsibility, she continued her duties as a shaman, tending to wounds and warding away spirits. The mage took more interest in studying magic, finding favor in owning its power. Even when the council disapproved, Rida rebelled, hiding away from the village to practice.

An attack of vampires tore her home apart, killing away her army and setting ablaze to everything in sight. With the flames rising, everyone was separated, and Rida fled out of panic.

The lost mage visited their ancestor's shrine days later in hopes of guidance. An angered spirit named Daku answered, assigning blame to Rida for abandoning her leadership. The snarky girl argued with Daku, opposing the advantage over the unknown army of fiends. This retaliation infuriated the warlord, calling for a curse on the shaman.

"As you failed to lead your family, you will continue to lead yourself to failure!"

Immortality was bestowed to Rida, though without a tribe to lead and her family lost to her, she set out wandering the world, seeking what she could of her many years of living. She spent the next 150 years in solitude, running from hunters and bandits alike. Her practice never stopped, practicing the same art she always loved, though using its power to wreak havoc to anyone who dared held a weapon to her.

A Stranger Comes to Town

Name: Thozgild the Strange
Player: Gorgenmast
Gender: Male
Nicknames: The Polymath of Helarx, The Queer Prince
Race: Human
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
Deity: None
Age: 57?
Size: Slightly-above average
Body Type: Flabby
Height: 5'7"
Weight: 180 lbs
Complexion: Pale
Hair: Wiry whitish-gray hair tonsured and braided into five strands running down the side of his head.
Eyes: Hazel
Handedness: Left
Scars: None
Personality: To be played out over the course of the RP.
Sexual Affinity: In a word: deviant. Thozgild has many exotic and strange fetishes.

Bio:
Thozgild is an arrestingly unusual and mysterious character. The exotic polymath's youth and background are virtually unknown, though he is believed to have arisen from the peasantry of the foreign port city of Helarx. Twenty years ago, Thozgild had established himself as a wealthy merchant lord with a lucrative trading enterprise. Modern observers might best describe the Merchant of Helarx as a vendor of snake oil, for his wealth was earned in the sale of medicinal and alchemical reagents, tinctures, and potions from exotic lands. Thozgild's frequent travels to far-flung lands exposed him to a great many unusual customs and ideas. With his great wealth, Thozgild amassed an immense collection of artifacts, specimens, tomes, scrolls, tapestries, and other curiosities.

During one trip to some distant and barbarous land, Thozgild is reported to have imbibed a curious medicine offered to him from the indigenous folk that forever altered his mind. The Merchant of Helarx henceforth acquired a swaying gait and an accent akin to that of no known country. His interests shifted away from mercantile endeavors and he instead devoted his time to the study of arcane subjects. Thozgild is known across Galmaora as a polymath. He is reported to speak as many as twelve languages and is well versed on the tenets of numerous religions and cults.

In recent years, however, the city of Helarx fell under the control of the Xalform Crusade. The cosmopolitan port of Helarx was no longer the tolerant city-state that Thozgild had called home for most of his life. The fanatical inquisitors charged with governing this land became increasingly hostile to the strange merchant lord and his unorthodox interests, but deigned to spare him due to the tax revenue his trade enterprise generated in Helarx. Even so, the Crusade's bloodlust for unbelievers could only be stayed for so long, and eventually the Xalform rulers of Helarx decided that Thozgild's heretical beliefs could not be tolerated for any amount of gold, and so decided that he was to be beheaded.

Thozgild, however, had long been preparing his flight from the clutches of the Crusade. Through his study of the cosmos and the skies, the Polymath of Helarx was able to predict the coincidence of thick fog on a moonless night. On the night when a torch-bearing guard could scarcely see ten paces in front of him, Thozgild sprang his plan into action. Thozgild's servants - shod in thick leather socks so as to conceal all sound of their footfalls - carried litters laden with as much of his extensive collection as they could carry from their master's compound to three ships waiting in the harbor. But when a servant tripped over a cobblestone in the dark and toppled a litter full of glass vessels, the city's guards were alerted to Thozgild's flight. With a hoard of fanatics on his heels, Thozgild had no choice but to abandon more than half of his beloved collections and cast off into the inky fog.

Thozgild's ships have sailed beyond the reach of the Xalform Crusade, and the Polymath of Helarx has charted a course to a new home. Settling on a remote and oft-forgotten territory of the tolerant Galovian Empire, Thozgild's ships sail now across the Timorous Sea to the Isle of Fray.

They are constructed with flint, a common material used for that specific model, and sit in their identical russet-colored sheaths, made of steel and wrapped in a layer of leather. Her eyes really stick out to any passerby who care to stop and take a glance as her vast optics swirls with a variety of green and brown hues. Biography

At a really young age, Ryia learned the harsh realities of government. In a small village where Ryia and her family lived, the corrupt monarchy had decidedly committed genocide on their town as several villagers there had been a part of a rebel alliance. Ryia knew about the concept of rebellion all too well as her parents had partaken in such activities, leading them to their inevitable death on that very day. Ryia was left sobbing in the middle of her burning hometown until several travelers who came to help had taken her to a nearby town. The Rose family, a group of well-known blacksmiths, had volunteered to take the young girl in to raise her. Being able to sympathize with her situation, the Rose family gifted her with the strong foundation of education, something women aren't often offered in this age. Her ability to read paired with the past knowledge of those who are in authority, Ryia developed a strong sense of individuality and a hate for those who ruled. It was then that she decided to train herself to fight so that if a similar violent act was performed again, she would be able to defend herself and those she loved.

Now being in her early 20s, Ryia had already anonymously published several grievances against the Empire under the alias "Night Crawler," she had caused quite a stir throughout the land, and rumors were scattering rapidly. One night while walking home, Ryia bumped into Edward Bennett who had been following her for quite some time now. He knew that she had a distaste for the current government and that she was the Night Crawler. Edward explained to her that he was a part of a group called The Twilight Coalition. The group, having a common goal to Ryia's, wanted her to join to help their cause. Edward promised that by joining the group, her efforts will only expand further as it offered wide connections throughout the land; however, The Twilight Coalition had more extreme ways of making a change. They were a group of skilled assassins who have been slowly picking off several aristocrats and those who worked closely in the government. It took Ryia a while to contemplate her answer, but she eventually agreed.

Her training in fighting only expanded from there. Training under Edward, Ryia eventually mastered martial arts, acrobatics, and dual wielding. The great amount of time Ryia and Edward spent together had made their relationship strong, and they developed feelings for one another. Ryia now 23 and Edward 25, decided to marry. Unexpectedly, six months later, Ryia became pregnant, so they both decided to take a break from The Twilight Coalition in order to focus on their family. Unfortunately, eight months later one evening, an assassin sent from the Empire had sneaked into Ryia and Edward's bedroom, killing Edward. Before being able to assassinate Ryia-although the sword wielded by the assailant had cut across her right shoulder twice-, Edward had enough strength before passing to fight back against the assassin. Devastated and dismayed, Ryia fled to the Rose's residence under Edward's orders.

When Ryia gave birth, the mere sight of her new baby boy had served as a constant reminder of her now deceased husband. Ryia decided to name him Edward after his father, and put him in the care of Guinevere Rose: Ryia's dearest friend whom she grew up with. Now aged 28, Ryia has gone back to The Twilight Coalition with a newfound determination to bring down the corrupt Empire once and for all.
