Howdy! Below is a dream that I had and the details are the dream itself. A lot is up for alteration, your contribution and design etc.
Where the story started was out in a forested area, there was a clearing occupied with a festival/celebration for the princess of the land. What the celebration of/for her was a bit unclear. Might have been a celebration of her betrothal to another king/prince or for her parents (this detail wasn't solid in the dream but I did come up with one I kind of liked. The idea that the festival was the princesses last solace of purity before she was wed off to XX person. By the festivals location was a (sacred) forest that the betrothed is sent into to 'flee' their suitor for one last experience of being unmarried, not deflowered etc. They have a kind of opportunity to play cat and mouse. Running from their betrothed in a kind of child's game, but also it can be a period where the couple to be can have time alone. Get to know one another or set up a game plan etc. There was no chosen detail that is set in stone but these were my thoughts in regard to the festivals purpose, events and main event which was the forest romp.).
During the blind run in the forest my character, the princess, will have blindly impaled herself on the horn of a unicorn. I do have details figured out about why and how this occurred. I can share those with whoever ends up taking up the other role if you wish to know. Otherwise I can keep some secrets for you to discover as we play!
This impact event on the horn of the unicorn does cause the beginning of the story! She essentially disappears from humanity shortly after that event. No one knows where she went or if she is alive. All that was left behind was a bloody dress with two entry wounds. Heart and lower abdomen. So the princess is assumed dead as all they find is her bloodied clothing.
After this critical event in that time period I saw the story moving forward in time by quite a bit. That I was open to how long and when. The story can remain within the medieval era but several hundreds years later, or just fifty years later. Or we can jump light years ahead into a modern day setting if you would prefer your character be from 'now'.
There is really where the dream, thoughts and a little development on my end stops. I realized I would really love to play out this idea and the character with someone else playing the male role.
The male role would be in your control, design etc. Be who or whatever it was you would like to be.
As to where the story is going, why those events happened and why what matters at the point of the story would be our collab! I wanted to leave enough empty vague room so that your ideas and interests could meld with what little I have set for my character.
