I have now added my CS to the character tab if anyone wants to take a look. When you post your CS's over don't worry about using hiders, i'll be providing direct links in the CS pages 0th post.
Also for awareness i've added a new rule that you will need to be aware of. No mega evolutions or z moves exist in this version of the world. Personally i'm not a fan of either and so would like to avoid them being used.
@medalliah I like your character but I just need a couple of bits changed in terms of her pokemons moves. Can you keep it to four moves per pokemon in line with the games? It just leaves things nice and tidy. Also in terms of Ninetales having surf i'm going to have to say no. I mean by all means have it be comfortable with water, even hopping onto surfboards or whatever, but I cant accept it being able to use the move surf unfortunately.
I can reduce moves, that's not an issue! With Ninetails, we already have examples of pokemon using moves that they're normally weak against - Rydon being able to use Surf is the perfect example in my mind. I can change it, it just seemed very flavourful for the character.

I had forgotten about that. Feel free to keep it then .
Lora, a Lapras. Ability: Shell Armour. Moves: Ice Beam, Sheer Cold, Perish Song, Brine. (A gift from his mentor, and named after her, Lora enjoys sleeping in ponds around Viridian City. During school holidays, she lets children play around and on her back, despite the thinness of her shell)
Haze, a Froslass. Ability, Snow Cloak. Moves: Blizzard, Draining Kiss, Shadow Ball, Double Team. (Haze is affectionate. When she was a snorunt, this was cute. Now that she can move through walls, it's often startling and sometimes terrifying. Haze doesn't notice this.)
Katana, an Alolan Sandslash. Ability, Snow Cloak. Moves: Icicle Spear, Metal Claw, Brick Break, Hone Claws. (Serious and focused, Katana was smuggled into Kanto by poachers. He was brought to Quilo in the hopes he would recover from the trauma in a familiar environment. While he's still not entirely friendly, Katana has calmed enough to train with Quiloβs kendo class.)
Flurry, an Alolan Ninetales. Ability, Snow Cloak. Moves: Dazzling Gleam, Double Team, Ice Shard, Frost Breath (While Katana became sullen and vicious, Flurryβs experience left her shy and skittish. Hazeβs affection has helped her recover somewhat, and she occasionally participates in gym battles as she regains her confidence)

Looking good. All i'd suggest is putting a line space between each part of the CS, just makes it look a bit cleaner. Also ideally i'd like him to have a full name (first and last). Apart from that he looks good and quite happily accepted.
@CaptainSully Changes made on the version in the CS section. Looks like your character and mine are destined for a meeting. :D Here's Viridian Gym. Let me know if you need more details.
Name: Viridian City Gym
Type: Recently renovated pokemon gym
Location: Viridian City
Appearance:
Description: Recently restored to its previous classical glory, the outside of the Viridian Gym is simple, yet elegant, with a water fountain nestled between curved white stairs and pillars on the raised balcony leading into the gym. Most times, the interior of the gym reflects this theme; smooth tiles and open windows leading to the battlefield in the back. Administration offices upstairs are more utilitarian, though still well-done.
When a challenger comes, however, the gym transforms. A thin layer of ice over the tiles makes the footing treacherous. Cooling machines freeze the air into a low-hanging mist, and the windows are shut. Floor-level lighting makes the mist glow, and various Gym Defenders lurk, ready to disorient and expel any unworthy challengers. Ice pokemon slip through the mist, their Snow Cloak abilities used to appear and disappear in seconds.
The Gym Leaderβs battlefield is more of the same. Quilo greets players on a raised platform, the ever-present mist swirling around the battlefield. He usually appears with his sword at his hip and a pale blue coat, cutting the figure of casual nobility. He makes good use of the mist, his pokemonβs attacks thickening it to near-blinding levels. Many of his pokemon use Hail to cause further danger.
If defeated, the overhead lights come on and the mist is allowed to dissipate, leaving the battlefield looking otherwise unremarkable for its type.
Quilo does not live at the gym, though he does tutor his students and schoolchildren here. On occasion, he rents out the front room for community events, like weddings.
Talents: Cass is a decent singer and frequently uses her voice to earn extra cash at bars around Kanto.
Personality: Cassandra tends to be a free spirit, her journey turns on a whim. She enjoys the wilderness and can be found constantly exploring looking for new and exciting places, hoping to discover a new or rare pokemon. She feels that she connects easier to Pokemon than people and can sometimes come off as stand offish or cocky. She has deep seeded trust issues of other people's intentions due to her troubling past.
Background: Cassandra grew up on the outskirts of Saffron City, her father was sent to prison for running a Team Rocket smuggling operation. She spent most of her time out on Route 8 playing with wild pokemon. When she was 16 she got a job at Celadons casino as a singer. Shortly after her 18th birthday, police would raid the place tying it to Team Rocket and arresting all staff. When the officers found out who her father was they charged her as an accessory, assuming she had followed in her father's footsteps. After her case was dismissed, Cass left home trying to escape her father's sordid past.
During her travels she came across a man attacking and torturing a Ghastly, Cass stepped in chased off the attacker. The Ghastly decided to join her and became her first pokemon, and is hardly found in it's pokeball. Soon after they managed to capture a few more pokemon, using Cass's singing to help pay for their travels.

I hope this works, if anything needs to change please LMK, also for battles, I have been in RPs before that used Pokemon Showdown for a way for people to battle without a coin flip, and when done they use the results to write their post, just a suggestion if your open to it.
Waa, I'll post some stuff tomorrow. Also I'd personally like to just write out battles without knowing who the victor is until its over. Could the result being pre-determined be an optional thing?
@CaptainSully just checking - are our pokemon supposed to have the special abilities like Quilos does? These weren't in the original games which was why I didn't look into them.
@medalliah I noted them down because they're relevant to Quilo's battle strategy; Austram (the Aurorus) creates hail that the rest of the team except Lora the Lapras can hide in. That's alongside the mist he has as a gym field hazard.
@Cerces22 Your character seems fine. Move it on over.
@Cerces22@Walulululuigi as for battles you can do them pretty much however you want. The standard idea would be that the winner is pre-determined(pm me and Iβll happily flip a coin) or if both agree, use showdown. However if pairs agree to RP it out then I have zero problem with that. Obviously if you showdown it youβll still need to RP the battle.
