[IC] The dragons' heart crystal

[King Tai]

After a brief look around. Asad noticed there must've been a fight recently. He smelled blood and whatever happened, hopefully he wouldn't be part of something like that. Beast-kin weren't really that popular with the humans being that most thought of them as mindless savage beasts. On the contrary, there were quite intelligent. He noticed most were looking at him and then looked at the girl who noticed him too and quietly walked to the counter to order something to drink.

Amelia raised an eyebrow. She sheathed her sword. Amelia couldn't help but wonder who the beast-kin was. She glanced back at the male that she'd been talking to. She wondered if and what he was going to say. Amelia moved a strand of hair from in front of the face, the fight taking its' toll on her.

[King Tai]

(Jeez, I thought I already responded to this one.)

After Asad got something to drink, He looked to find a seat but...out of curiosity, he noticed the girl again that looked at him before and headed her way. Eyes followed him while his hard to miss appearance left some of the men in there a little on edge. His kind were thought of as wild out of control beasts.

He walked up to the girl. "Excuse me...what happened in here?" He asked her.

(it's ok. to be honest, i thought it died. -sighs- my roleplays always did on the other site i was on.)

Amelia took a breath. She calmly looked at the beast-kin as she spoke.

"There was a fight. Some men thought they could get easily take out someone. they made a grave mistake. they all ran off in the end, i believe."

She had since put away her sword. She took a glance around before looking at him again.

[King Tai]

(Nah. Just didn't check here. I'm going to try and keep up here. I think this has potential. If we don't gain more people here, we could do this on PM if you want to do a 1x1?)

Asad listened and looked around before studying the woman he towered. He took a small sniff of her scent. "And I take it you had nothing to do with what happened here?" He asked her.

Amelia sighed.
"Originally, i did not. I was talking with the target to be in question when they attacked. I ended up defending myself and such."

She moved some hair out of her face.
"I take it you already realized i was in the fight? I saw you sniffing the air at this moment."

[King Tai]

(Alright, just say the word and we can do that :) )

"I see....and yeah...I smell blood and a little sweat. A beast-kin's senses leaves little to the imagination. But...see you're here and seemingly not very injured, you handled yourself well. Obviously you're a warrior." He simply said to her.

"I'm traveling myself in search of something."

[Vampiretwilight]

Amelia nodded.
"I was trained in swordsmanship by my father."

She, then, heard him mention that he was traveling in search of something. Amelia made a guess easily as to what that could be.

"you would not, by any chance, be looking for the crystal of the great dragon was well, would you?"
She was simply curious, and she hoped that he was not looking for it out of ill intentions.

(We can. i was just leaving the time of it up to you.)

[King Tai]

Interesting...she was trained just like he was with his tribe. When she questioned him, Asad gave her a nod.

"Yes...I'm looking for that crystal for the sake helping my race gain peace with other races. Beast-kin are hated by almost all humans and other races. We are considered as brainless savage beasts by most. I don't want this for future generations of our children." He told her.

"With you asking, I'm assuming that's what you're after as well?"

Amelia nodded. She understood completely. Then, she heard him question her. She nodded again.

"Only to keep it out of the wrong hands. My ancestor would turn over in his grave if i didn't protect the great dragons' legacy. Our family's honor would never return."

She tried not to sigh. She stayed calm.

[King Tai]

"I see...but what you're trying to do will push you beyond your limits. There's no telling how many others are trying to search for it. Possibly in large groups and there could be mercenaries hired to find it along with guilds..." He told her.

"Are you traveling with anyone?" He wondered.

Amelia sighed.
"My father would be disappointed from the great beyond if i did not try."

She shook her head. She proceeded to answer him.
"no, i am not."

[King Tai]

"And that's admirable. I won't stand in your way of your quest but it would be a shame for one as yourself to die while attempting something as noble as this alone." with a slight sigh, he looked away for a moment.

"I must be crazy thinking this...but...would you like some assistance...on your journey? That's if you're not too bothered with a beast-kin constantly in your presence?"

Amelia nodded. She noted the sigh but said nothing in relation to it. She felt almost rather flattered even as she heard what he said. She blinked when she heard what he had asked.

"oh, i..."
She took a breath. She nodded.
"Very well. You may join if you'd like."

[King Tai]

"You sure about that? You may not be invited in some places simply being associated with me." He said to her.

Asad took his father's advice. If he was to try and make his acquaintance with humans, he could close the gap and start something that could change the relationship between humans and beast-kin alike.

[Vampiretwilight]

"there has not been a single person I have met here in the valley who has cared about that. We have many a different species where i live."

Amelia told him the truth. She was not just saying that to spare his feelings. She didn't care much for lying too often, if at all.

[King Tai]

Asad was still concerned about that. It was a rather sensitive subject but Asad was going to learn to not let the whole race thing get to him and do the right thing. "Alright...I'll keep that in mind while we travel." He told her.

"When are you planning to leave out?"

Amelia took a breath.
"Very soon. I stopped by the valley to visit my home, rest for a couple days, and then proceed on the journey."

She told him that honestly.

[King Tai]

"Fair enough. I've heard of the valley but this is my first time being here. Oh...my apologies...my name is Asad."

[Vampiretwilight]

Amelia nodded. She blinked when he introduced himself. She had forgotten to do the same.

"And I am Amelia."
She kept it to just her first name for the time being.
"So, should we head to my home?"
