Appearance: White skin (but not pale), black, medium-length hair, green eyes. About 5'7 tall but still growing. He has a fairly muscular build for his age, but he still has years to go before he can be considered large and muscular overall.
Abilities: Aidan is an apprentice swordfighter who is also learning how to use magic to aid him in combat. He is still very much a learner in both fields, but he is better at melee combat than spellcraft. So far, he mostly knows simple spells such as light generation, projecting small firebolts, and spells to detect magic. Aidan is at least partially trained in the use of a longsword, dagger, and has some skill with the bow. He also has a greater degree of skill in unarmed combat than any weapon, due to the fact that he could begin his training in martial arts at a younger age than a true weapon.
Who he is: Dimble Cogglespot, Gnome Adventurer-In-Training
How old he is: 16, though he might look more like a 5-year old
What he look Like: To the Untrained (and Human) eye, he looks much like a young child. There are some tell-take signs of a gnome though, the large head and long nose, the lean yet muscular build that’s usually hidden under flowing robes or dark leather, the bafflingly large vocabulary, etc. He has dirty blonde hair messily cut, and brown eyes which turn bright yellow in the dark. He’s started to get whispers of a beard, but is keeping it shaved at least until he’s out in the “real world”. He typically wears light armour in combat, most often dark leathers, and carries a shortbow, shortsword, dagger and a small wooden wand with leather grip. When not in combat, he usually wears colourful robes, and a large green hat on special occasions.
What He Can Do: Dimble is a Jack of every trade, in a sense. He’s been trained as a spellsword, combining magic and martial combat in an intricate dance of might and mind, and his small size and affinity for illusions gives him a helping hand when it comes to stealth. He most often fights with a shortsword in his main hand and a dagger as an off-hand weapon, mainly for parrying but also useful for getting a few decent hits in when his opponent lets their guard down. He can do magic without a wand, at least simple things like shield spells, temporarily empowering his weapons or shooting small bursts of flame and such. For more complicated things, like detailed illusions or larger, more deadly spells, he’s more inclined to use a wand. A skilled archer and feverishly nimble in combat, it takes skill to land a hit on Dimble, but if you do he’s pretty easy to send flying. More focused on dexterity than raw strength, his small size is used to his advantage as much as it can be, but he’d never claim to be fit for platemail and greatswords. He’ll stick to his strengths, and those are dodging, hiding, stabbing and spell-slinging. As a gnome, he has excellent dark-vision and feels as easily comfortable in small, underground spaces as he would in an open field. He’s got a sharp mind, even if it is an inexperienced one, and a thirst for knowledge that makes him an eager adventurer.
What He’s Training For: Dimble was orphaned at the tender age of 4, when a hulking giant tore through his village and crushed his house underfoot. He may be small, but that won’t stop him from hunting down the largest monsters out there, and that’s explicitly what he plans to do when he leaves the tower. The bards will sing songs of “Dimble The Nimble, Slayer of Giants” one day.
