Amerika - June 2028
Amerika? Do you mean Zapadnaya Amerika or Ost Amerika? (West or East) Such a simple question. So complicated the history. My Earth is not the one where the Allies won World War II.
Japan did not bomb Pearl Harbor. Russia did not invade Poland. Stalin’s army was stronger than in our world. World War II did not end in 1945. Rather it continued on until Russia, Germany and Japan signed an armistice in 1960. By this time the political boundaries of the world had changed dramatically.
Germany controlled most of Europe and Africa, as well as the Eastern part of North America (to the Rockies and parts of Canada (Ontario, Quebec, and Newfoundland.
Russia pushed west to take Lithuania, Belorus, Ukraine, Romania, and Bulgaria. They took the NW third of China straight down to India, the Middle East (including Turkey) all the way to the Suez.
Japan took the rest of China stopping at India, the Pacific including Australia. They also took the southern half of Mexico and the rest of Central America right down to Panama, assuming control over the canal.
Mongolia, Nepal, and Switzerland remain Neutral and were never invaded. South America was left alone.
The US was divided at the -104th longitudinal line. Along the north the 49th parallel was used to separate Germany and Russia’s claim to Canada between the -104th and -95th longitudinal lines.
The world continues on in a state of perpetual Cold War, an uneasy peace...
Technology has advanced much slower, more similar to the late 90’s despite the fact, some 30 years behind. There is no internet. People still use pagers and phone booths.
History is being rewritten every day by way of diplomatic agreement. Hollywood died long ago. Its movies are now contraband.
Plot
Dr Duncan Moran is one of the most gifted minds in the Soviet Union. Born in West Amerika in 2000, raised an orphan in education camps. His heritage has earned his the contempt of his instructors. But he is a gifted applied physicist and chemist. Despite his heritage he is now assigned to the most sensitive projects. He is not unlike a modern DaVinci.
However, his work has begun to slow to a crawl. He is irritable, some might say even rebellious. Some of the Politburo feel he should be sent to a re-education camp. Others feel this would slow his work further or even destroy his creativity. But something must be done before he is compromised. As it is, he is a prime target for defection.
He is currently working in a in a military camp, Roswell, NM.

You have two main options:
Option 1 - Russian Black Widow approach. You would be an agent assigned to encourage him to remain loyal by whatever means are necessary. Use your discretion. (It will be suggested that family is a very potent way to control a man. IE seduction, marriage, children … the long game.)
Option 2 - German agent. You were a sleeper agent that was activated when Duncan was assigned to Roswell and pose as a local of American descent. You task is to lure him into defection. Again, use whatever means are necessary. He could prove a valuable asset.
Option 3 - ???
Edit: I currently have one RP using Option 1. I am hoping for a German. But I do realize it is the much harder role to play as you go in with far less information on him. Understand that really neither option is good for Dr Moran. The trick is to keep him from ending up at a Black Site, re-education camp, or dead.
