DESCRIPTION: The Great Dark is exactly what the name would suggest; an endless expanse of darkness that surrounds every other Sphere and borders the Barrier, making it the Sphere that is the furthest away from Galbar. Most light sources that fall on it from outside are absorbed by it, barring light from divine sources and/or light coming through from other Spheres. The Great Dark's existence is the direct reason for filling in the darkness between the stars.
There is a definite up and down inside the sphere, but no sense of gravity. The borders of the Great Dark are liquid based, yet can be stepped on should one will it so. One entering and leaving the sphere would create ripples that permeate the entirety of the Great Dark.
Situated right in the centre of the sphere floats a large landmass. Crystalized from the very essence of the Great Dark, this piece of land houses all sorts of ethereal flora and fauna tended by the Mistress of the Night, with the crowning jewel being her personal palace and abode, A gigantic dark tower that stretches all the way to the base of a miniature aurora of shimmering purple and blue, with the tower's top floor situated right inside of it. The tower is made of the same kind of material as the land that surrounds it. Being right in the middle of the sphere, the tower acts naturally as the focal point of all the energies that originate from it.

Darkness is neither a colour that can be described nor a time of day. No, true darkness is a state of being. Cold and unforgiving, constricting everything and anything that it envelops. The darkness of nothingness can elicit fearfulness to even the bravest and most courageous beings, but it can also protect, providing relief from the endless woes of existence. One can run, and one can hide, but in the end, one cannot evade the darkness.

- Darkness Mimicry: Considering that Melantha is the titular goddess of Darkness, she is the embodiment of Darkness in every form, and can partially or fully turn her body into darkness and manipulate it to her will.
- Darkness Attacks: Various attacks techniques that utilise darkness in some form or another.
- Absolute Darkness: Melantha is able to unleash a field of darkness around her that can deprive common mortals of their senses. Can be strengthened with MP in order to affect stronger beings.
P E R S O N A L I T Y
Melantha is a being of fickle nature, and while her loyalties and interests can wildly vary, she generally regards everything that comes within her sight with a tone of apathy that befits her sphere of influence. Nevertheless, that does not mean that she has no desires or needs. All the spirits invited by the Architect and moulded into gods have their individual goals to fulfil in the grand scheme of things, and Melantha's goal is very simple; spread darkness to everything and anything that she possibly can. A very simple calling, but one that can be approached in a myriad of ways.
Now, an outsider might think why one would enjoy such a task, and to this Melantha says why not? Why does one enjoy watching the sun rise from below the horizon, or enjoy eating a good meal by the fire with their friends and family for company? It's exactly because it brings them happiness and warmth when doing these activities. Melantha is the same in this regard. Considering everything, Melantha thoroughly enjoys the work assigned to her and as such will not tolerate anyone that gets between her and her fun.
