Brandon Laughed and held up his hand "I give up, please dont force me to eat that again" he told her and leaned over and kissed her cheek. "though you are quite cute when you look all mad" he teased her. he finished his food. "im going to get more to drink, would you like something while I'm up?" he asked her.

Kali smiled "oh i am?" she says to him "how cute would i be if i pushed you into the pond?" she asked him teasing him.

James chuckled a bit and rolled his eyes.
"I can swim and water does not bother me, half human not full vampire."
He wrapped an arm around her and pulled her close to him.

Elizabeth sighed, frowned, and rolled her eyes. She took a bite of food. She merely shrugged when he asked if she wanted anything while he was up.

Brandon looked at her " what is that frown for? he asked her "would you like ice tea or something to drink?" he asked her "unfortunately im not a mind reader so you have to tell me if you like that or not" he says

she laughed "so you think that a full vampire is afraid of water?" she asked amused. "not the wicked witch of the west James" she told him and poked his side. she laid her head on his shoulder as he held her against him.

He stuck his tongue out.

Elizabeth sighed.
"It does not matter since you do not have to."
She took another bite of her food.

"Elizabeth i know i dont have too, but i want to" he says "why wont you let me do things for you when im already going to get something for myself?" he asked her. "i want to do things for you" he told her.

she looked up at him "becareful sticking that out i bite" she told him and then smiled showing her fangs. "you might turn to a mute" she said to him

"Water then."

James rolled his eyes.
"So do I."
He showed his fangs. He chuckled a bit.

he nodded "alright one water coming up" he smiled at her and kisses her cheek before going and getting the drinks for them. He got her a glass of water with a few lemons on the side incase she wanted them and he got more blood. He needed it to help him with his cravings.

"mine are better" she said and smiled at him. "so tell me more about you James" she says "have you dated in your past?" she asked him

Elizabeth just sat there, eating her salad. She barely sipped at the water.

James blinked at that last part. He looked away. He shook his head a bit.
"not really. There was one girl I liked, but she ran off when she found out about me being half vampire. one of THOSE families."
He sighed a bit.

she lifted her head "well its her loss" she says to him. "your a nice guy" she told him "if she couldnt see that then she is an idiot" she told him.

"a penny for your thoughts. whats bothering you?" he asked her he wondered what was bothering her. he sipped his blood he had gotten. he looks around the room. he listened to conversations going on around them.

"I'm over her. Besides, last I heard, she married a merchant and is alone a lot."
He shrugged a bit, his arm still around kali.

Elizabeth shrugged.
"I just got annoyed mainly."

he ran his hand through his hair "alright, Im sorry" he told her. he didnt understand her at times. he took a few long drinks from his glass. he glances at her from time to time as he didn't know what to say so not to annoy her any further.

"and whats your profession?" she asked him wondering how he made a living. she placed a finger on his thigh drawing shapes on it as she asked questions and listened to him.

Elizabeth nodded. She suddenly took piece of lettuce and shoved it into his mouth. She smirked.

James took a breath.
"I mainly took over my fathers' restaurant. My mother has her own business and I am first in line to inherit everything."

"A restaurant? So you can cook? what kind of food do you make there?" she asked him. "of course your in line to inherit everything your an only child" she says "what kind of business does your mother have?" she asked curiously.

Brandon spit out the lettuce into a napkin that she shoved into his mouth. "i was serious about not doing it again" he says looking at her. he sighed

"not well, I am mainly a manager."
He took a breath.
"My mother has a line of combination clothing and accessory shops. They make good money."

Elizabeth suddenly smirked. She poked him in the arm.

"well then note to self dont eat your food, i might die" she teased him and kissed his cheek. "well at least you have a job and purpose" she tells him "so who is running it while your here?" she asked him. "wow your mom sounds successful" she told him

"yes?" he said to her as she poked him. he was slowly getting annoyed with her. he looked at her "what is going on in your head? what do you think about?" he asked her wondering about her. he couldnt seem to find something that made her happy and it was frustrating to him.

James rolled his eyes at the teasing.
"well, I have a substitute taking over for me for now. Yeah, I suppose my mother is successful."

Elizabeth blinked. She sighed.
"Alright, few things have ever really made me happy. My life was a wreck until I met you, I...I am not sure what to say, do, or act. I..."
She bit her lip and dropped her fork.
"Excuse me."
She suddenly stood up and tried to leave.

she laughed at him "well thats good" she says "im happy that your here, im not sure it would be as fun for me if you weren't" she told him.

he took her hand and stopped her from leaving. "sit..please" he says to her. "dont leave" he told her "I'm sorry your life wasn't stellar" he told her "I want to feel comfortable with me to be yourself" he says to her "i want to see you smile, i want to know whats on you mind, i want your opinion on things" he says "i want you to tell me you like or dont like something so i know. I want you to kiss because you want to" he told her "I need you to just communicate in general with me Elizabeth, i know you can be a force to reckoned with but i want to see that fire in you, good or bad, i dont spook easily" he gave her a grin.

Elizabeth blinked. She bit her lip. She didn't know what to say.

She suddenly hugged him, hiding her face in his chest.

he wrapped his arms around her as she hugged him and kissed into her hair. "you give warm hugs" he says to her. he rubs her back and moves on the side of the chair so she could sit on his lap. "so my little mouse, cat got your tongue" he chuckled a little at his joke.

she shrugged "its not like i had much of a choice" she says to him. "though im happy im free of the house for now" she says to him and sighs

"I don't like that nickname."she muttered.

James kissed the top of her head.
"I'm glad your here."
He paused and took a breath. He decided to ask.
