She could still sense what happened in the 'real' world, her siblings quarreling, fighting over land and control over existence. She eventually gave herself a form of a crystal being while she built up her home, and eventually spilled into our own plane. Many of siblings were wary of here for this, but she never gave them reason to hate her.
As time went on, she made herself more humanoid to make social interactions between siblings easier. Things were boring for her, and she didn't really know her purpose in it all. She didn't have any real power, she didn't do anything to upset people, and at the time she would be considered sane. But then came humanity. She immediately made them her top priority. She protected them, nurtured them, and with help of some of the other gods, developed them. Once mankind was in a more social and civilized structure, she taught them her powers, and some were able to perform the same actions, although to a lesser degree. She had found her purpose, and she loved it.
As humanity progressed, so did the gods. They learned more, built more, and made more. Dirka did as well, but something changed. As time passed, her thoughts became more random, unempathetic, and coherent. She was going mad. She and the god of knowledge deduced it was the side effect of her domain, as many of the humans who used magic were seen as mad or unnatural.
Time went on, and Dirka became lonely. She wished for a companion to share her experiences with, and found that in a mortal around the time of egypt. A magician in what would become Europe held a vast amount of magical capabilities, and shared many values of magic, but wished to improve it's capabilities further. She helped him in his mission and even went as far as visiting him in person. One thing lead to another, and they became bound by his villages marriage rights.
But she couldn't have bliss for long. One of her more violent and wrathful sisters killed him out of spite. Anguished, Dirka cursed her sibling with scars across her body, horribly disfiguring her forever. After the event, he cut herself away from the rest of her siblings and hid in her home realm, which had grown within the long span of time. She contacted his soul in the land of the dead many times, but his soul, due to being slain by a god, was lost to the void. To prevent any other magicians from suffering the same fate, she cursed all magicians come to the Rift right before they would die.
Modern day, Dirka has spent thousands of years watching the world, watching her sibling's abominations and monsters destroy and terrorize the world. She stopped caring long ago, confident in humanity's memory surviving do to magicians going to the Rift when they die. But something in the back of her head kept nagging her to do something.
