This thread is beginning as a practice role play, a way for me to learn how to DM online using the Dice Campaigns. (I have only DMd IRL, and it was actually quite a while ago. This will be a new experience for me.)
However, while I am starting by playing all the characters myself, there is no reason why you cannot get involved as well. It would be easier for me to learn what I need to know to provide a wonderful experience to others if I actually do this with others!
"Practice Makes Perfect" is a very, VERY simplified version of Dungeons & Dragons. My plan -- unless I change my mind -- is as follows:

"Practice Makes Perfect" is a very, VERY simplified version of Dungeons & Dragons. My plan -- unless I change my mind -- is as follows:
- Characters will only roll for 1 ability, not 6.
- Only 4 Abilities will be available: Strength (for Fighters/Swordsmen/etc.); Dexterity (for Archers/Thieves); Intelligence (for Wizards); and Charisma (for Leaders).
- Combat will be simplified greatly to speed melee along, as will be explained soon.
- Additional skills will likely be inherent in a PC's Class and Ability score, making the myriad of additional rolls and records common in D&D moot.
- This is more about simply having fun adventuring than it is rolling for every action, reaction, and result.
