Akohana is a planet far from, Earth. Inhabiting a separate plane, Akohana is a planet connected to an all-powerful being that generates energy known as magic and with its connection to this being the citizens of Akohana have the ability to harness magic and control it. Because of the existence of magic, Akohana has procured hundreds of nations in which are dictated under a familiar monarch that is varying in cultures and races. All these nations have been living under a hundred-year peace until a dark force mysteriously arrived on Akohana and like a disease, it slowly began to spread. With this mysterious forces potent power, the nations were soon under a great panic which leads the leaders of each nation to cast a great spell which invoked the souls of the many planes and with the aid of the gods this spell was successful, but not as successful as they thought. With the spell, the nations only managed to summon a handful of valiant souls, all from the planet Earth. Now the fate of Akohana rests in these souls in which are unknowing to the great responsibility which lies upon them.

• Introduction

It is 4/04/2014 on the planet Earth. Lacking the crystal's blessing it is unripe, unblossomed, and unknowing the miracles of magic. On this planet lays a stagnant set of rules which dictate every living beings life causing them to repeat an unjoyful and restless path of events. You are one of the many citizens of Earth, living a normal and plain life until suddenly you are interrupted by a mysterious accident which causes you a painless death that you cannot remember. And at the moment of your death, a flash envelops your body, and you are teleported to a black abyss with a light shining down on you.

  Gifts
  During the process of reincarnation, your character will be greeted by a goddess of whom will guide your character through the process of moving to Akohana and during this process the goddess will give you a gift of your characters choosing. This gift will be anything relating to a weapon, an enhancement to the body, or a powerful skill. Gifts will also ignore any class requirements so if you were a warrior with a magic-related gift, the gift would use up stamina even though it is a magic skill and vice versa for a magician with a stamina-related skill.

  Lament,
  A long pink scarf that loosely hangs off the user’s shoulders and enchants the user with flight. Though in turn for flight the user’s mana/stamina is fully depleted.
  
  Sword of Sunders,
  A greatsword with ancient text lining the middle of the blade, this greatsword has the ability to create energized slashes every third hit and when an energized slash is created it will take up the users mana/stamina.
  
  Lightning Javelin
  The user is able to manifest a javelin of lightning. With a cast time of five seconds, the user can send out this javelin almost miles away striking any target within their vision. But until the user can achieve a level higher than ten they will faint.

• Classes and Skills

  All adventurers are assigned one of the main four classes. Warrior, Rogue, Gunman, and Magician. These four main classes differentiate in skill, weapon, and ability-learning. A warrior would use heavy weapons such as greatsword, sword and shield, and spear. A rogue would use light melee-weapons and ranged weapons. A gunman would use a revolver, musket, or rifle. And a magician would use a staff, wand, or some sort of vessel they can cast their magic through. (This said vessel cannot be a melee weapon. )
  
  

  Subclasses are a mysterious topic so far as none of the players are currently high enough level to learn about them.

  
  
  Skills :
  
  Skills are the main form of combat for every adventurer. They are special skills in which take up stamina or mana (sometimes both. ) Depending on the class you have it’ll determine what manner of energy you’ll take on. For example, if you are a warrior you’ll take up stamina though some skills can take a small amount of mana, though it is rare. Or if you’re a magician you’ll your mana to cast spells. Your capacity of stamina and mana will increase every level by ten allowing you to cast more skills, though once you’ve depleted your stamina and mana you’ll be extremely exhausted and faint.
  
  Skills are totally up to the player in how they want them just as long as they align with the respective class you’ve chosen.
  
  Skill points are the only currency for abilities. As you level you will unlock more abilities and the more powerful or higher level that abilities is the more expensive the skill point requirement will be. Skill points can be earned through accepting quests, discovering unknown areas, and killing monsters.
  
  In public, you may see others perform skills. If you are able to see the casting process of this said skill your character card will instantly list the skill you’ve observed as an ability. To change an ability to a skill you must meet the skill-point requirement for that ability. But! You cannot learn any ability that you see, you must be the same class and/or subclass as the person you watch!
  
  Magician
  Magicians abilities are very complicated and sometimes confusing. There are three main types of magicians, a support caster, a defensive caster, and offensive caster. Though in most situations magicians often mix their roles such as a magician of whom is a defensive and offensive caster or a magician who is a support or defensive caster.
  
  Magician Skills
  A beginner magician, upon learning their five main default skills would be able to understand the basics of telekinesis magicks, healing magicks, defense magicks, and fire-based magicks. Anything outside of these fields of magicks would be unlikely for the regular magician.

• Races

  Currently, there are only four known races in which inhabit the planet of, Akohana. The Elven people which are mad with elegance, The Beastclans in which are humanoids that resemble normal humans but with animalistic features and attributes, the Dwarves which are small in size but have a vast amount of intellect, and finally humans of whom are extremely similar to the children of earth.
  
  [ As you make your character you can choose one of the basic four that I've listed, each race that I've chosen for the basic four can range in many different sizes and shapes so if you don't know what to do just go all out and hope for the best. But if you aren't happy with the current selection of races you can gladly make your own or source a race from another show. Just make sure that the race isn't too powerful! ]

Regarding the age limit, I just prefer not to have child characters in a roleplay where death is possible? It just makes me a bit UGGGUWGW you know? And you can literally be any age you want me just don't be too old.

I was actually thinking an older character.

Just as I saw the interest check for this I had been discussing writing my own isekai story as a sort of parody but in the sense that it averts a lot of tropes.

Basically, a VERY southern middle aged man, a real country boy. Grew up working on a cattle ranch and all that. A sort of super sensible team dad kind of guy, but at the same not as familiar with things like anime and manga where isekai stories would be common so he isn't exactly prepared to live in a fantasy world, maybe has trouble adapting but keeps giving it his all because he knows the world needs him.

And I realize this probably sounds like a joke or something on paper, but I take my character writing VERY seriously.

Also, I've never actually seen an older middle-aged man in an isekai roleplay before so it'll be interesting to watch! >:o

Hmmm, torn between a good ol sword user or a ranger type (which I assume could fall in warrior or rogue depending on the focus?)
Or maybe a martial artist... or psy mage... or rogue adventurer... Okay maybe I am not as set as I think >_>

Nevertheless. Hmm, I guess a question would be the viability of multi-classing early, with the first few level ups. For example, this kinda matters if I were to make a sword user (which I might not), since I do prefer sword-and-spell types like Final Fantasy Red Mages or Dragon Quest heroes.

Personality: Before all of this chicanery, Oshiro Yuudai was a callous, chauvinistic, self-proclaimed master-mind of evil. He had tried his best to hide this as to be more intimidating when revealing past a normalish guise of humanity, and of course it was easier to attract people to his cause when he seemed to be a chill dude. However often times he failed at this revealing his true nature of a smug dork who viewed himself as the evil emperor with all as his pawns. He is more or less the same, despite what one might draw, in this new world although with an even more shattered ego. Now as he can’t play the game he did in life, he must insist on being the evil emperor type as no one will respect him otherwise!
Backstory: Oshiro Yuudai was a man born for brilliance, born for ruling, born to reign above all of those in his prefecture then the world! He was born to a high ranking civil service employee without knowing who his mother was. Yuudai was treated to nothing but the best in terms of tutors and so forth with an extended freedom due to a very busy parental figure. Yuudai was drawn into fictional stories of evil empires and so forth and it inspired a belief that he was destined for greatness like that. And so throughout his school life he manipulated and schemed his way into high social groups, primarily using his resources to make them submit to his will (as many of his friends in life actually really detested him). It was all stepping up for his destiny to dominate in university - until that flash of light of course...

Vengeful Slash of the Forgotten Squire – By harnessing a swing, by holding it in place for some time while delivering a hateful monologue, Yuudai can deliver a powerful singular swing downwards, sidewards, or vertically.
Pierce the Cloudline - At the expense of ones weapon, and having to wait for it to come back down to land, Yuudai can throw their weapon in order to take down enemies in the sky.
Roar of the Jungle – By howling out their superiority to this world and all who inhabit it, Yuudai attracts enemies to beat him up instead of the minions (party).
Kiss the Emperor’s Feet – By swinging up their leg for an axe-kick, Yuudai can swiftly swing their foot down on a target’s face and daze/stun them for a brief time.
Leap of the Elven Dancer – Yuudai can jump, rather elegantly and in a strange pose, in between an attack happening to someone else to take the assault instead of them.

Sorry, I'll try to clarify.

I'm not sure if you're differentiating between skills and abilities. Skills in my mind being how skilled you are at a task, and abilities being things you cast; sword lasers, temporary stat buffs.

There's no real universal standard on the terminology so I get turned around from time to time.

Just to make clear though, a bow using ranger type is warrior, rogue or either (or neither). Also, would a martial artist fall under warrior of just be off limits?

That's a really good question since I use skills and abilities loosely, very loosely. Sometimes I think they're the same and sometimes they're different but officially skills are castable and abilities are things like performance and how well you can achieve that said skill. I'll try to clarify it more

And as for a, "bow using ranger type" would fall under Archer and the subclass would be Ranger to focus on its bow ability while a warrior with a bow would be possible as a warrior subclass. I'll fix up the OOC more to better explain the mechanics! ^^
