I'm doing a play on the history of Game of Thrones. The idea is that the Damien Blackfyre had won the rebellion and thus ended the rule of the Targaryens and brought about the rule of the new Blackfyre Kings. The setting would be set at the same time as the books/show. The Blackfyre Prince(MC) has no siblings or cousins of worth in which he was to marry. In recognition of his father's 20th year on the throne, a tournament was to be held in King's Landing. The champions guaranteed a purse double the size of a normal tournament. Also, this tournament was a chance for noble Lords to offer their daughters along, widows seeking a new husband and young noble ladies seeking to be the next queen.
(YC) A Stark who came down with her father, only as a formality with no real interest in much of the politics of the south. Rumors start to circulate though as the Prince(MC) asks for her favors and names her the Queen of Love and Beauty, making (YC) as the target of the rest of the ladies since she has supposedly captured the Prince's eye. (MC) Would be pushed to wave off his interest in the Stark woman in favor of someone more suitable according to his father and small council. He pursues the woman subtly testing the waters before he decides to commit to winning her favor or abandoning the notion.
