I think I may take on the idea of the benevolent monster, or at least partially benevolent, maybe pairing it with a hooman.
So no hivemind beasts for now? Just for the record, I had an idea to make a hivemind horde that focuses on scavenging and consuming corpses of other beasts to evolve and take their traits.
Havent seen too many benevolent beasts...might take that niche.
I am assuming the technology level for humans are more or less the same as present day, right? At least in arc 1?
@Lmpkio hey, I know you said not to use mecha as much in the first arc but how about a rock golem-type of creature instead? Is that fine?
After some deliberation, I would like to give it a shot. What’s the opinion on mix-and-match monsters or alien origin? The former is more combined appearance like a griffin or chimera.
Well, I'm kind of considering an Ultra analogue, but I'm torn between Hyperion and Prometheus.
An analogue to Ultraman- a large, benevolent humanoid alien who may have had interaction with humanity in the past.
Edit: The other concept being a Hedorah deal where it’s a creature that feeds on pollutants, but it actively purifies the land/air/water/whathaveyou by its mere presence
So will humans actually get a chance to do things prior to giant robots? Or are they expected to just act as set props/victims/distant screaming until then?
Can I create a scientist character who wants to build giant robots? Should I expect another character to eclipse my character who's already had a giant robot for like months already but for some reason hasn't revealed it despite giant monsters attacking his/her country? Sorry if this sounds confrontational; I've had bad experiences in the past.
