@Torack Hmm... well, @GreivousKhan has already expressed interest in the game, and I usually only six players, maximum, but if you both want to make an application, I'll see what I think of them and consider if both of you would fit.

copypasta, anyone? Khan, this does have a few extra things on the end.

The basic summary of the IC is this; the original cast, being Vaal the Kobold Sorcerer (Tangletail), Rhaeyla the Aasimar Monk, though she appears to be human (Eleven), Caw the Kenku Rogue (Vertigo), Surina the Dragonborn Barbarian and Magdar the Dwarf Cleric (their players dropped out) were hired by two human twins, Sebastian (Fighter) and Cassandra (Druid) to escort them to the town of Greenrest. Just as they came within sight of the town, an army, accompanied by a blue dragon, began their assault. The party has just rescued four humans, the Swift family, and are in the process of making their way toward the keep.

There are currently two other player characters somewhere in the city; Fran, the Tiefling Warlock (Lucius Cypher) and Mists on the Mountain, the Tabaxi Cleric - though he identifies as a Rakasta, tiger-like tabaxi, mechanically a Tabaxi/Half-Orc hybrid (Harbinger Of Ferocity).

Now, the reason that I've given Sebastian and Cassandra stat blocks is that this chapter of the story can be considered incredibly difficult; they're there to make things a little easier and because they're characters that I already had. Magdar and Surina have also been relegated to this role, though I don't plan on keeping all four around for the entire chapter.

I do have a few preferences that I'd like to state before we begin, but if you can sufficiently sway me, I can let some of them slide.

If you have any other questions, let me know.

Alright, I'm going to finish my App today, Hope it's ok to use Myth sheets. Weekends are super busy for me so I did not get a chance to do much but I have a great idea for a character, luckily I love playing fighters already.

Last question before I finalize things, Human variant ok or no? My idea is an old retried swordmaster who is far past his prime was probably LVL 15 equivalent back in the day but old age and retirement have brought him back to zero. Even tempted to give him one arm.... we'll see.

@GreivousKhan Hmmm... apologies, but no, he wouldn't have been level 15; by the Tiers of Play, characters of levels 11 and higher are capable of combating threats to continents, which would bring him to a level of fame that wouldn't really fit this scenario. In that zone, if you made him around mid-thirties to early forties, and say he used to be level six (defender of cities), that would be more within my comfort zone as a storyteller and Dungeon Master. If you're set on the retired one-armed warrior thing, though, I won't stop you. It'll come with a few major costs, but could also be restored with a spell later on, if you were willing. Variant Human is okay, but I'll need to check the skill/language/feat you take.

Oh, btw, another couple of things for both of you; @Torack

The character application sheet on the first page is outdated, so if you could use this one, I'd be grateful. Character images are optional, but very much appreciated if you can find one. Please fill things out as you see fit, make sure to change the character colour to your own choosing, and read it carefully - it might be a bit of a long line of text in some areas, but the format is there to keep things nice and aesthetically pleasing. 🙃

Also, I will need a sort-of writing sample from both of you. From the perspective of your character, I need a 'short story' about the day your character spent in the town of Greenrest before the attack began (just use generic details about the town if you need it; there's no wall, there's only one temple, etcetera). It doesn't have to be a long thing; I just need an idea of your writing style.

Yes, I know, this is a lot. It's part of my charm. 😂 I can be very particular about certain things and how they have to be a certain way, and this is my first time running a game like this, but so far it seems to have been okay by the others.

If you need any help with solidifying your ideas or are happy to take suggestions, I'm willing to provide. I've already got a couple for your guy, Khan, if you want.

For some reason, I thought this was the OOC. <.<

But ya, I'll probably go with him being in his forties in that case. I forgot how powerful high-level characters are (:P) so level six or whatever ever is fine. The level thing of his past is not very important really, the only thing that needs mentioning is he is old and retired. (probably not for long though)

@CollectorOfMyst
Do we have a date of the current timeline? Will help allot with history. I'll try and fill out that sheet, though I'm a bit out of practice in using RPG and those broken code commands are an extra pain in my ass to relearn. It will take me a bit longer in that case so probably will having something tomorrow. The sample story seems reasonable to me since that's how I used to run things back in the day.

@GreivousKhan It is currently early autumn in the Year 1489 DR, two years after the end of the Second Sundering and the Spellplague. Dragonborn have appeared in the world, displaced from their native world of Abeir. The gods are quieter than they used to be, and only in this year have they begun to answer the prayers of their followers again; only a select few have shown direct action.

As for the code, you really don't need to worry about that; everything you need is in there, you just need to replace the color=000000 with whatever colour you want and add/remove things as you need them. You can delete everything in Spellcasting up to spell names
. If you want to add a new line to a list, it's [*], just make sure it's also before
. Anywhere you see an X, that generally means you have a number you need to put there. You don't have darkvision, so you can remove 'vision Xft'. Adjust your stats, label your weapon attacks, and you're done.

Alright, it's not as bad as I thought, I have relearned the code. I'm still going to balance out some of the numbers with Mythweave since it makes it 100 times easier to read and bookkeeping will be easier in the long run if that's fine. I'll do some research before I finish the origin then.
