It's a lot less likely. If you're doing evil for evil's sake your motivations aren't particularly sophisticated.
It would be like going to war because you can, or because you like war, no one is going to think 'damn, what poignant reasoning'.
But that's besides the point, I was just hoping there would be more evil characters (sort of like Khan's, although he's still in the Neutral Evil realm in my opinion.. possibly even Lawful Evil, I haven't seen enough of him yet.) who were more subtle about their evil-ness.
Instead there's a giant battle mech who's motives are: you must destroy everyone on the planet, because Necropolis is worth -so- much. It's a shit hole, let's face it.
