I think the toughest opponent to fight would be an intelligent, quick fighter in a good suit of armor and magic that can be used for a variety of purposes such as controlling energy to form swords, walls, beams, etc. Even in the armor they'd be just fast enough to give plausible deniability for being able to dodge you and just good enough armor to do the same but for defense and say they didn't receive too much damage, if at all. Their physical strength wouldn't matter much because their energy is their primary attack and can cut through defenses quite well.

Pfft. Want to know the most terrifying opponent you could ever face on a battlefield?

A speedster wielding a recoil-less magical minigun that weights nothing and that scales to whatever tier he's in. For defence, he's got a chargable riot shield that -can not be moved by others if it's been charged-

Cry out with rage as he trolls around the field, constantly firing, always on the move, never taking hits.

Edit: Heck, it could be a magical Uzi shooting 50.cal shells that would never run out of ammo.

My Mary Sue character is pretty powerful as well. Even if you hit her shields (always completely surrounding her body and not even weighing her down, them being magical energy and all) she has three of them, and if you don't do enough damage to them quickly then they regenerate. Plus she has no real weaknesses, so you just have to manage to overpower her swiftly and decisively to stand a chance.

A 'paradii', which my friend had, which could...

In the short way to say it

Control existence.

While MYB was fun, boy did it get OP quick as fuck.

OP battles can be fun if you both make it clear that's what it is beforehand. For example, I might make the "Everyone versus the Mary Sue" battle pretty soon.

If we're going to move into the territory of overpowered characters, we might as well just stop it.

I was talking about the worst kind of viable character type to face in a battle. You know, the kind you could expect to see approved into the list.

In that case I'd just go with the character I posted at the top of this page.

As for OP, the latest battle in Bleach is all you need to see. One of them can bring anything he imagines to fruition (if he's to be believed), and yes, he has even brought out a meteor out of thin air now. Then there's his opponent who will be even more OP to be able to beat someone with the power of imagination. And you know he's going to win somehow.

I was *this* close to making an intermediate character that utilized a 25mm autocannon that used electrothermal-chemical technology to fire rocket-assisted SABOT shells, with its trademark ability being that it never ran out of ammo, gaining its ammunition from a pocket universe that operated as a metaphysical firearm and ammunition manufacturing plant. The only weakness of the weapon was that it needed to change out its barrels after firing some 40,000 rounds.

Then I ran into issues of what tier this thing would have been, so I dropped it. I figured that it would be an equal to some powerful ability of magical weapon, or something along those lines, though it was probably the result of me struggling (yet again) with the tier system itself.

I should stick to low tier and call it done. Might make some asshole that works at a corner store, with his main power being that he can control ATM machines with his mind.

He's good. Definitely a high tier.

I just thought of a new villain. She has a blob-like lifeform living in her that can travel to parts of her body to cover wounds and "glue" them back together, and if her arm is cut off, for example, the blob can reach out of the wound to the arm and pull the arm back in place, like normal gluing it together to it's original strength. If there's an opening in her body the blob can come out and form weapons, so she has slits on her palms at all times. The blob can harden to be very strong, but while it's still moving around it's vulnerable. Sound cool? Eh...even if you say no, she's still easily better then some of my "Character of the Days" so I will add her regardless. I'll add her here as well if you say yes.

What happens if someone blows her brains out? Can the blob snatch airborn anatomical debris?

I largely doubt that this was directed at me, but I'm quite fond of the concept, partially because it is similar to a concelt I'd had several hours ago. It's not terribly unique, but a bunch of the minor touches are whar set it apart in my opinion.

I'm not trying to be the guy who hangs around in the OOC and never posts, btw. I'm just learning before I get PWNd.

Well I started on AOL forums in 94-95, moved to CompuServe then yahoo chat rooms. Bopped around for a while before I found T1 and have been a follower of the style since. So how long ago is that? Ages.

So you have around like 16 or so years to my 10-12. Noice. And here I thought I was an RP vet.

And if my math is off, eat me. I just woke up from a nap. :3

Now to read the 3 pages of random that happened in the past two hours.

Good question. Well, being a sticky blob he could collect the pieces that come in contact with him no matter how small, but he'd be unable to rearrange them in any meaningful way. They would have to be big enough to fulfill that statement, which would be where one could be able to determine what it had been in the first place. The smaller it is the much longer it would require of him to arrange everything in it's proper order, so smash the skeleton into pieces and you may be waiting for a while. Large clean cuts are super duper easy for him.

Hmm...although in the case of the brain exploding, I'm pretty sure she's not immortal so would still be dead even if he put the brain back, although I haven't thought of her exact abilities yet. She has no powers besides possible physical enhancements. With the way the blob thing works it might make sense if it somehow made her immortal, but just took a long time to start back up to life.

I keep thinking of Valeric. Haha.

And I don't know. Everything about him changes, so I reckon at base he might be - but once he changes it - it could change to Low or Intermediate.

Which touches.

Since you're here, it may as well be directed at you.

What have I missed while i have been working on 5 posts and doing work? You guys are killing me!!!

Not something you missed, but what's the status on Arty? Yes, no, fix stuff? I've also got another character I want to write up and see if I can get approved, so there's that to look forward to. Someone who doesn't take himself so seriously so that I by extension can not take him so seriously and just plain have more fun with him. If that makes any amount of sense.

I still have to post the updated approved characters and several posts.

Remember you can submit non-combat characters if you want so a guy running a store who controls atms is fine.
