Auriole feels her head, frowning when she feels a scab. “Elias?” She whispers.

Elias looks up" yeah what is it? "

Auriole sighs. “I.. I don’t know. I have a bad feeling, and I guess I was just making sure you were there,” she says quietly, wiping her tears. She’d been restlessly sleeping because it was a distorted, nightmarish version of how she’d gotten her sin.

Elias nods" don't have to worry about me " he tells auriole setting his head back down

Auriole smiles faintly. “No I don’t.” She sighs and stares up at the sky. “Do you ever wonder what would’ve changed? You know, if you didn’t get your sin?”

Elias nods" I know exactly what would've happened my village would be prospering and actually be ok "

“Humans wouldn’t think my people are monsters,” Auriole replies quietly.

Elias shrugs" I've never thought beastpeople were monsters " he said sitting up and stretches" I'm actually very interested to learn about them" he says

Auriole smiles and chuckles softly. “Well because your weird.” When he says he’d like to learn about the beastpeople, she sits up quickly. “Really?” She regrets it with a short cry of “ahh!” as the blood rushes to her head. She presses a hand to her forehead with a wince. “You really want to?”

“It’s just a kind of strange topic to learn but okay. What do you want to know?”

Elias pulls out his journal" everything" he says looking at her intently

Auriole raises her eyebrows slightly then she smiles and starts to tell him everything she knows. “Well Beastmen are born live, but I’m not entirely sure how Beastmen came about. I do know that a for sure way to have a Beastman baby is to have a Beastman and a Beastwoman mate, typically in their beast forms. Of course there was a hierarchy in which the elders were at the top, and they made the decisions of the clan. A lot of Beastmen come from clans, but some were sniffed out and disbanded by humans, which is why mine had lived in a secluded pocket of the mountains too tough for normal humans to survive. To my knowledge, the Fox Beastmen are the weakest, and the cat rival the wolves for the top position. The hierarchy between the types of Beastmen, clans, and inside clans are established by battle or other means as long as they are unanimously agreed on. So first are the elders, the decision makers, basically the wise owls of the clan, then there are the section leaders: the main teacher, the main war leader, the main healer, and the main servant. Servants basically take care of all of the dirty work that healers don’t do.” She goes on, and on for several hours. “I think that’s it. Questions?”

Elias had written down everything she said making sketches of the different species " yeah do beastmen have any forbidden knowledge and magic ? "

Auriole purses her lips. “I think certain types do, and I’ve heard whispers of connecting with your animal type, whatever that means. I’ve been working on it to see if I could get anywhere, without much luck.”

Elias sighs disappointed " aww man ok" he says closing his journal

Auriole raises an eyebrow. “My goodness, calm yourself. Your excitement is overwhelming,” she says sarcastically. She sighs and closes her eyes, still sitting, thinking cat, cat, cat, and she opens her eyes. “See? No change,” she meows, but she thinks she’s speaking in the common tongue.

Elias raises an eyebrow " interesting you turned into cat form" he muttered writing notes

Auriole frowns. “What? No I didn’t? What are you talking about? ELIAS!” Auriole meows, lacing, starting to freak out.
