The pokemon world has started for us. The gyms are accepting challenges. Hospitals are tending to humans and pokemon. New pokemon are hatching from their eggs. Trainers are traveling all around the world, newbies and more experienced ones. Researchers are doing their jobs. The world is in full swing.

Now, it is time for us to begin. have fun!

Ezra wiped his brow with his forearm as he reached the top of a steep hill. His perceptive eyes looked out over the area around him, surveying for any bastion of humanity. All he saw was a small town far off on the horizon. The boy licked his dry lips. Had he not been born and raised in the desert, he may not have got as far as he had in this heat. Behind him was nothing but a wavy, dusty badland. With a sigh, he screwed open his cantine and swung it up high over his mouth, only for a few small drops to fall into his mouth. The boys face got serious. Being out of the water was no laughing matter, and the town looked to be a good few hours out. Ezra's worries only grew more intense at the notion of walking for hours without any hydration, he had heard some eerie stories about how that ends. Quickly he flicked a pokeball from his side and withdrew a Mandibuzz, who greeted him with a squeak.
"Hey, Mandi. Do me a favor and help me find some water nearby, eh?" He asked, gently handing the cantine to the pokemon's talon. It flew off without another moment's notice, leaving Ezra alone once more on the windy hill. He took a moment to prepare himself before walking on.
"Just you wait, Mandi. Soon we'll get to battle some, just as soon as we can find another trainer!"

Alice Williams was in her house, in her town. She was getting ready for the day ahead. Once she was dressed in her usual manor of dress, she proceeded to head to the gym that she ran. Her staff waited for her. One of them handed her her current set of pokeballs, her current team of pokemon. She prepared to face some new trainers. For the time being though, she made sure her pokemon were fed and well rested. She sighed and looked out a window.
"I wonder who will challenge me today."
She spoke her thoughts out loud.

Lizzie and Happiny were taking a casual stroll along the path to the next town. It was taking much longer than Lizzie expected, but she had plenty of supplies to keep her going until she arrived. As the path led her into a clearing out of the woods, Lizzie placed one of her hands over her eyes and squinted with distaste. It was so hot and bright today. Good thing she was prepared.

She pulled out a cute, pink umbrella to shield Happiny and herself from the sun. They hummed along together as they walked, keeping a look out for any Pokemon that Lizzie would want to catch. She was a bit more nervous about the prospect of finding another trainer though. She was still a very new trainer, and wasn't sure if she would be able to battle well enough.

Lizzie shook the thought out of her head. She shouldn't think like that. If she was this unsure of herself as a trainer than she should never have left the Pokemon Center in the first place. Nope, she was going to prove herself as a trainer even if it meant... battling that strong looking trainer on the top of that hill...

Ezra slowly walked on, the exhaustion starting to get to him as he drew nearer and nearer to the town but despite his heavy steps it seemed to still be nothing more than a speck on the end of his vision. Then, he heard a shrill wail from up above. Looking up, he saw his faithful bird pokemon high in the sky, circling something. Ezra shook his head, had the pokemon already forgotten its quest? His eyes slowly went down to the ground to see what poor, weak, pokemon was being deemed easy prey by his bird. It was a surprise to see a young girl instead. It wasn't unlike his pokemon, he remembered how their first encounter was similar but he had been lifted off the ground by her strong talons.
"Mandibuzz! Return!" He called out, and with a press of his pokeball once more the vulture had been stowed away. Now, with just him and the girl in sight, he started bolting towards her, waving his hands.
"Heeeey! Hey!" He shouted, doing his best to get the girls attention.

Anna Smith was on her way to the next town. She soon grew tired after all the walking that she did. She decided to stop and rest. She needed some water too. She needed a flying pokemon to find some, she figured. But, the only pokemon on her team that could fly was her butterfree. She did not want to risk her safety though. She had an onix, but as a rock type, he hated water. Her Charmander was a fire type. Her vileplume was a grass type who hated the heat. She didn't want her clafable to be in danger either. She didn't think her Jolteon would be up for it either.
"what am I going to do?"
She thought out loud.

Lizzie watched as the trainer seemed to be getting closer and closer to her at a fast pace. She took a step back with alarm as she realized that the trainer started running towards her. "Oh no... oh no... what do I do?" she mumbles to herself nervously, fidgeting with her hair. Happiny pulled on the hem of Lizzie's dress and cried out in her usual cheerful voice, "Happiny~!" in attempt to calm Lizzie down.

"Oh, thanks Happiny, you always know how to make me feel better," Lizzie said with a small smile before looking back up to face the trainer who was now close enough that she could hear him shouting at her.

"Oh... hello..." Lizzie said, waving back at the boy. "Did you need anything from me?" She tried her best to hide how scared she was in the inside.

Ezra stopped a few yards away to catch his breath. He took a moment, bent down with his arms on his knees, panting and gasping for air before he responded in an exhausted voice.
"Yes! Water, I can pay you back I promise. I just ran out is all"

His cantine was nowhere to be found, and Ezra quickly recalled that he had left it with his pokemon. Just the though of water was making his mouth dry. As spoke, his eyes slowly drifted to the Happiny with the girl. His head tilted slightly and he stared at it confused.
"That's not a pokemon I've ever seen. Where'd you get that?"

"Oh! He didn't want to battle," Lizzie thought cheerfully to herself. "He just wanted water! I can do that. Poor guy, he looks super dehydrated." Without saying a word, she pulled out a bottle of water from her backpack and handed it to the thirsty traveler. "You don't have to pay me back or anything," she added as she offered the drink. "I have plenty of water anyways."

She became a little bit guarded as soon as the trainer began to look at her Happiny. She quickly picked up her dear friend and hugged her tightly. "It's my Happiny! My... " her voice trailed off as she began to remember where she got Happiny from. Everyone in her family was given a Happiny as a partner. It was all part of eventually becoming a Nurse Joy. Even though Lizzie didn't want to be a nurse like everyone else, she still wanted to take Happiny as her partner. She was certain that they both had a desire for an adventure.

Realizing she was zoning out a bit, Lizzie finally said, "...my family gave her to me. Oh! I'm Lizzie by the way. What's your name?"

Anna sighed. She had no choice.
"butterfree I summon you!"
Her butterfree came out of her pokeball.
"butterfree, can you help find some water?"
Her butterfree nodded and flew off, past any humans in the area. Anna sighed.

Ezra tilted the bottle of water back and drank it with startling speed. He handed the nearly empty bottle back to the girl as he huffed and puffed. Wiping his mouth with a satisfied sigh, he listened to the girl with interest in her pokemon. The explanation was a bit dull but it wasn't like a nice young lady like her to have some wild tale like he'd want to hear.
"Well, that's pretty neat. I happen to be a pokemon trainer too, ya'know. Maybe one day we could battle or something" He said eagerly with a large, encouraging smile. It vanished when his eyes went back down to the tiny Happiny before him.
"One day" He added again, this time a bit quieter.
"Anyway, the names Ezra, and it's always nice to meet a friendly face. Where'ya headed?" He continued, now putting a hand out to shake.@karamonnom

Alice had the idea of gather a third Pokemon team. They would be taken care of by a professor but still. Anyway, she went out in her vehicle out towards the desert area. She would end up spotting two trainers in the distance within a couple hours.
"Hey there!"
She called out.

Lizzie watched with awe as the trainer downed the drink in mere seconds. He was definitely really thirsty. Once he was done, she took the bottle and placed it back into her bag. She was going to recycle it later when she got into town.

"O-oh yeah... probably someday," Lizzie said awkwardly, fully aware that she and her Happiny were probably not ready to face such a tough looking trainer. She was relieved that he made a quick subject change. "I'm Lizzie! The pleasure is mine. I was just heading toward the next town. I need to stock up on more pokeballs..." her voice trailed off as she thought about her many failed attempts at trying to catch a new pokemon.

Lizzie heard a voice in a distance, calling out to them. "Hello?" she called back.

Keon was just getting into another as he finished a little training from earlier. he recently caught a Lickitung ad had it sent off to another professor he knew and got a few pointers about becoming a professor. it was all about what he wanted to excel at in studying. What was his main point of interest. Yeah, you had professors who studied in breeding patterns, others in pokemon habits, relationships between humans and pokemon, evolution, origins, and even mega evolution. So many points that he could look up and research and do studies of his own. Right now, Keon was trying to figure it all out.

Annas' butterfree returned with some water. It was a miracle, she thought. She shared the water with her pokemon and such before she returned them all to their pokeballs. She sighed. She needed to be able to get to the next town. That was when a pokemon approached. She was attacked and she had no choice but to summon one of her pokemon.
"onyx! come out! I need you!"
Onyx roared as he came out of his pokeball to battle.

Getting into the desert rocky area, Keon could see something from a distance happening. Perhaps a pokemon battle that was going on. He needed to get a closer look as he came upon a woman and her Onyx and quietly watched her do battle. She looked familiar though.

Anna's onyx battled the geodude. The geodude only knew a couple of attacks apparently. As a result, it did not take too long for onyx to beat it. Anna captured it with a pokeball and it would instantly go to the professor she had gotten her starter pokemon from. That geodude would be the first extra pokemon they would take care of for her. Anyway, Anna was now about to return onyx to his pokeball.

"Nice onyx...I see you take great care of him." he said staring and walking towards the woman. "I bet he was usually your game changer in longer battles." Keon mentioned. "Just like my Blaziken..." He said to her. "But...you look familiar..."

Anna had just returned onyx to his pokeball to rest. She gasped and looked behind her when someone suddenly spoke to her. She saw him and cleared her throat.
"I...I suppose. He was my only rock-type until I caught that geodude just now. He's the toughest on my team, well, in physical strength."
She blinked when he said that she looked familiar.
"have...have we met before?"

"Heh...I figured. I could tell. My Tyrantrum is one of the toughest on my team. He's a rock and dragon type." He said. When she asked if they've met before, Keon looked on. "No...I don't recall but...I have seen you in magazines...the special article about the gym leaders. You were one of them that was on the article like me some time ago....Alice...right?" He asked her.
