Aurora fights a smile as she sings, “She doesn’t like my list of exes I’ve had at home.” She barely harmonizes with him and sings her part before she laughs. “I’m sorry. Your voice isn’t bad, it’s actually really nice, you just need to get out of your head, and don’t sing from your chest but from the organ within. But how to do that...” she narrows her eyes a little and chews her lip in thought, then her expression brightens. “Close your eyes.”

Quinn chuckles" I know how to use my diaphragm that's how I scream so well but ok" he says and closes his eyes

Aurora smiles softly. “The other organ, the one you feel with?” she teases, her hand lightly brushing his heart. “Now don’t think of anything, just listen to my voice. When you think your ready, stay focused on me, how you feel about the song, and sing. Easy peasy.” She inhales and closes her eyes and starts to sing, “Lately I’ve been I’ve been losing sleep, dreaming about the things that we could be.”

Quinn smiles at the irony of telling a vampire to feel with his nonbeating heart .he listen for a bit then sings with" But baby I been, I been prayin' hard Said no more counting dollars We'll be counting stars Yeah, we'll be counting stars"

Aurora faintly smiles and sings with him on the last part: "Said no more counting dollars, we'll counting stars." She waits for him to finish, then sings, "I see this life like a swinging vine, swing my heart across the line, in my face is flashing signs. Seek it out and ye shall find."

Quinn opens his eyes " so did it sound better? Also where is the band wanting the member? " he asks her looking at her semi-nervously

Aurora opens her eyes with a smile. "Didn't you hear that? That was.. well you improved." She clears her throat in an effort to calm her ecstasy. A flash of disappointment crosses her eyes, but it's gone as quickly as it had come. "Oh, right. The band. This way." She starts to walk off, not thinking of taking his hand this time.

Quinn walks eagerly not noticing her disappointment " so what is the bands genre? "

Aurora shrugs, starting to shutter off. "Mixed, I guess. I don't know much. Oh and they're mundane."

Quinn nods" that's fine as long as I don't act vampiric they shouldn't know " he starts to notice her lack of enthusiasm " what's wrong? "

Aurora waves a dismissive hand. "It's nothing. I'm just a little tired from singing." It's not a lie; the crowds had sapped some of her energy, taking a sliver of vitality with it.

Quinn nods " ok" he says and walks with her whistling a sea chanty

Aurora sighs softly, and leads him to a mismatched group of four: one girl and three guys. "Oi! Misfits!" she calls to them. They turn, their calm faces turning stormy when they see Aurora, and they begin to get into a heated argument with her, and each other. "Hey! Calm your nail polish!" Aurora yells, effectively quieting them down. "I brought what I promised, a male vocalist, now give me what I want." Their faces soften when they see Quinn, and the girl nods. "Fine." Aurora lets out a small sigh in relief. "Thanks." She mutters to Quinn as she leaves, "Good luck."

Quinn frowns at the argument but waves to Aurora as she leaves. " bye" he calls out to her he then turns to the band " so I heard you need a vocalist what type of music do you do ? "

The female vocalist starts to explain to him the way they do music and how they cover the latest songs and the songs they unanimously agree on, but her cheery demeanor changes immediately when Aurora is out of human earshot. "Don't hang out with her, don't talk to her, don't mention her, don't associate with her, don't even think about her, and you can join us. Capiche? She is a heartless beast" "A monster really," the guitarist pipes in, earning a nod from the blonde, and she continues, "with no idea how to treat someone else and no regard for human feelings."

Aurora blocks them out to the best of her ability, wishing that she wasn't a downworlder so she wouldn't have to hear them. She chews her lip to blood, quickly walking out of the park. She goes back to where she and Quinn had listened to music, and she braces her forearms on the rail.

Quinn's face sets in a hard line " well then I don't think I can join because I find her company to be refreshing and nice. " he says looking at them all with steely eyes.' I could always use encanto to make them like her ' he thought to himself then nodded smiling devishly " making eye contact with all of them he uses the encanto to make them like aurora .

The girl’s face shifts into a bright smile. “Aurora is so sweet! She has the prettiest voice! Do you think we made a mistake?” She turns to the others, frowning faintly, then she smiles at Quinn. “You must be amazing if Aurora suggested you. She doesn’t talk about it, but she has an amazing ear for musical talent.” She winks playfully.

Shadows haunt Aurora’s eyes as the words echo in her head. ”Monster... freak... beast... heartless... hideous... unwanted... useless... reckless...”

Quinn shrugs" my normal singing isn't that good but my screaming is and I'll be right back" he walks to where they can't see him then runs using his vampiric speed to find Aurora" come with me" he says and grabs her name then runs back to the band and shows her to them. " now what do you think of aurora? "
