Carria frowns and points at Alexia. “Eat,” she orders. “All of it.” Then she turns back to the boys, whipping out her knife and another dagger hidden in a kitchen drawer. “I’ll take you both. I’m guessing with weapons, so magic or no?”
Carra shrugs. “Meh, I don’t really care how we fight. We can do hand-to-hand, weapons, battle it out between the two of you. We can fight in the courtyard, there’s a pit there.”
Carra nods and leads them outside. She brushes away ferns that had covered steps to an underground fighting pit lit with torches. “After you,” she tells them.
Carra makes herself quicker and she dodges the vines, and she emits an ear-piercing high-pitched whistle as she hits Murphy with a dagger to the knee and she kicks him in the ribs.
Carra ducks the blow to the head and yanks her dagger out of the wall it’s embedded in and she sticks it in Lynn’s side. She punches Murphy in the jaw and jumps and sidekicks Lynn in the chest.
