@ladyonyx04 Lexi couldn't be swapped because of the water, so it was taken into consideration. If the water evaporated then that protection would go away; looking at the wiki it's actually any kind of water that causes a Devil Fruit user to lose their powers, not just salt water, i.e. it's the water not the salt that matters.

There's a lot more to that weakness than I thought. Moving water like rain or waves won't have any effect, but standing water of any kind will. Devil Fruit uses with more than half their bodies submerged will lose their strength but having any amount of their body in contact with standing water will cause them to lose their powers, unless the properties of their bodies have been changed by the Devil Fruit in some way.

Huh, that's a pretty interesting thought. If someone doused themselves in water, would it provide them some protection from DF powers in general? Especially ones that work the target's on body or mind.

I'd assume not honestly, but for the purposes of this RP where it really only affects my character, I'm fine with that limitation. I think powers like Trafalgar's and Sugar's that affect a person directly would still work since from what we've seen water doesn't stop a power from working, i.e. it doesn't remove a power's effect after it has been applied, it just stops someone from using their power in the first place.

On the contrary, I think it would work, it just hasn’t come up yet. Say agaist Trafalgar’s, which is a lot like your character’s it would prevent him from directly swapping or cutting the person. But it wouldn’t revert someone already cut by his power, or revert someone turned into a toy by Sugar.

You know, ignoring the guy strolling toward you, who has proven himself able to hurt you with a firearm to focus solely on the girl running away and sheathing your weapon and reading an attack is a really dumb idea.

Not expecting a player kill, but that shot's gonna knock him silly, defensive haki or no.

In your post, are you saying Caitlyn is dodging the slash of every Jōichirō? Given that Caitlyn most likely won't know which one of him is the real one?@ladyonyx04

Strong enough that ignoring him is a bad idea. Even if they were even, or one slightly stronger, all that will do is partially nullify logia immunity, turning a headshot from lethal to merely brutal.

He'll recover, no permanent injury, but he'll have a hell of a headache.

As a note, Balthier's killing intent is low. This is pretty much just business to him. That will make it fairly hard for Observation to kick in, especially since Jōichirō's focus is elsewhere. If he was focusing on Balthier, and by extension, the gun, it would be a different story.

Also, if he's shielding himself with Haki, he probably doesn't have enough focus to imbue his attacks on Caitlyn with it.

That is, in my opinion, the feat of a high-level user.

Gunshots are pretty loud and distinctive, so yes, I'd say there would be quite a disturbance.

@ladyonyx04 just so I'm clear on what happened, Shigeuchi missed both the grab and the elbow? He had his back to Lexi, so is she stepping around him when she moves to the left?

Or towards his chest to avoid the hit if only barely. So her back might be turned on him a bit if her arm is still in his hold

She’s using some of her transformation into water and the air currents to reach them as fast as the air can carry her. She may not be on the ship itself, but perhaps a bit of her ability over water poured over Lexi. That or the Assassin is a bit delirious with the heat

@ladyonyx04 I don't think that works with something heavier than air. Water is heavier than air. Considering you're a Logia that uses water, that means your body becomes water. You don't become smoke or mist, you become water. The guy who becomes Ice doesn't also become water just because water is hot ice. You gotta stay strictly in your element. It's the nature of Logia fruits.

I'd have to say I'm in agreement, mist/steam seems like a separate Logia all together. And I'm not certain why she couldn't just use her Logia to ride a wave towards the ship instead.

Its not contact, its submersion. Ie Rain doesn't do it, reaching into water doesn't do it, if someone sprayed them with a hose it still wouldn't do it.

Riding a wave would be fine, as long as only her feet got wet. It takes around 50% submersion, I think, to have an effect.

Also, I thought riding a wave was what she was doing.
