Yo.

My name is Shinobu, but you can call me anything that you'd like. I'm twenty-one, American, and currently living near Atlantic City with my old man. I learned to Roleplay at eleven years old and have stuck with the hobby since. As I was taught to Roleplay through Chatango, I have a preference for writing through IMs though I'm fine with using the forum or PMs as well. While Roleplaying often distracts me, I also work retail seasonally and have other hobbies as well. Among those hobbies is playing video games, napping, and maintaining a Discord server that is too large for my sanity. I am currently in a long distance relationship with a wonderful girlfriend and I am fairly invested in the online sleuthing community as well.

I think that's about it for me, but feel free to ask any additional question that you might have!

Availability & Frequency

• Please be aware that my writing speed may be hindered by work, anxiety, ADHD, or a variety of other offline factors.
• At the moment, my schedule is rather sporadic. Due to this, I cannot promise when or if I'll be online everyday.
• In terms of posting speed, you can expect anywhere from several posts a week to one per month.
• I welcome the occasional poke to respond. Constant or hostile reminders will be ignored.

Skill

• I'll write anywhere from a sentence to two or three paragraphs. Generally speaking, I aim to match my partner's length.
• I prefer to play male characters, but I am flexible to play female, transgender, and androgynous characters too.
• I've been Roleplaying for about ten years now and have written on multiple platforms (ex: Tumblr, Discord, etc).
• I'm "hit or miss" with romance, but I don't mind it appearing. I'm comfortable with writing MxF, MxM, and FxF.
• I write in third person perspective, but I am flexible to write in first person perspective upon request.
• I prefer to double though I can and will also settle for using NPCs instead.
• I don't care for character sheets, but I'll produce them upon request.

Limitations

• Slice of life bores me and I have little interest in writing it. This includes high school, college, and campground settings.
• I will not tolerate any form of godmodding, metagaming, or the act of forcing romance onto my characters.
• I only use art, anime imagery, or written descriptions for the physical appearances of my characters.
• There is no room for Gary Stus, Mary Sues, or otherwise boring characters in my Roleplays.
• I will only write taboo or uncomfortable topics with trusted Roleplay partners.
• I have no interest in writing futanari or anthropomorphic characters.
• I have little interest in writing smut, sorry.

Communication

• I am willing to hand out my Discord or email to any partner that asks. My inbox is always open as well.
• I consider myself to be an "aggressive" (see: dom) Roleplayer, but I am willing to act passively too.
• I love to plot and discuss with my Roleplay partners! Friendship is a welcome bonus.
• In the case of a hiatus (or semi-hiatus), all partners will be notified.

Looking For

• An individual that is interested in what we are writing and able to bring fresh ideas to the table.
• This isn't required, but I would prefer to have a partner that enjoys OOC chatter and plotting.
• Someone with relatively decent grammar and who does not Roleplay in script.
• Partners of any writing level, age, and/or gender identity are all welcome.
• Someone who is willing to deal with my sluggish responses.

Scarlet Resonance

Vitus Academy is one of the many elite schools that train humans, witches, and faunus to become peacekeepers of the future. Named after various colors, these Meisters and their convoluted weapons are tasked with defeating the encroaching Grimm menace. This Roleplay can also, alternatively, have an Attack on Titan! twist where Meisters and their weapons are responsible for tackling Titans instead.​

Destiny's Coalition

Struggling villagers and soldiers come together to create their own ragtag army. Determined to stop the raging war between Hoshido and Nohr, this rogue coalition shows loyalty to neither country. Will they be able to cease the endless conflict or will they simply suffer for the disloyal path that they've chosen?​

Original Plots

Signals

The world seemingly "ended" many years ago thanks to a second Ice Age. In an attempt to survive, what was left of humanity was shoved away in strict underground compounds. Inhabitants of these sanctuaries are under the belief that there is nothing left for them on the surface world. Needless to say, it is more than surprising when a mysterious transmission is received from somewhere within the frozen wasteland.​

Lancers

After a brutal nuclear war, the world is left in shambles and civilization crumbles. As old traditions fall away, a particularly strange one arises many centuries later. In an attempt to keep peace between three warring factions (the Wealthy, Poor, and Exiled), it is decided that a tournament will be held every two years. The victor will have access to the least radiated lands and the most resources for two years to follow. Sending six players armed with only a farmer's scythe into an arena, each faction can only hope that they will emerge victorious.​

Blight

During medieval times, a mysterious disease escapes dark European forests. What begins with coughing eventually leads to the infected transforming into horrendous monsters. Farmers, knights, religious figures, and civilians alike arm themselves in an attempt to drive away the darkness that threatens them.​

King's Quest

A flourishing kingdom is suddenly sent into disarray following the failing health of its benevolent king. In hopes of finding a cure, royal advisors seek out the aid of various adventurers. The journey will be arduous, but the pay and adventure is worth it. Maybe the adventurers will learn more about their world, themselves, and each other along the way. Even if this is not the case, then they would at least be lucky to avoid upcoming political conspiracies and conquest.​

Moonlight Sonata

After hearing a mysterious melody, troubled humans find themselves in a strange world filled with various supernatural creatures! Confined to a mythical town known as Luminescence, the humans quickly learn the rules of this world: Should they wish to stay, they must find a supernatural lover to dance with at the monthly Lunar Dance. The clock is on and the humans have thirty days. Will they find their special someone or simply be sent back home?​

Winter Tales

Lemmas Peak is a small village hidden among the Alps in Europe. This lovely village is home to many supernatural creatures such as witches, vampires, fairies, werewolves, and much more. While a magical barrier protects the village from curious humans, this does not appear to be the case in December. In fact, humans often find themselves warped there by mysterious means! It is lucky for them that many creatures are open to sharing their holidays with them.​

Halloween

As a test of courage, high school or college strangers visit a local abandoned house (it can also be a hospital, hotel, mansion, school, etc). They are expected to celebrate Halloween and spend the night while there. Although they expect nothing to occur, they are greeted with a spooky surprise instead. The surprise will vary from Roleplay-to-Roleplay and can either be light-hearted or very dark.​

Dear Anonymous

In an attempt to understand depression in teenagers, psychologists have joined forces with English teachers to develop a new assignment. The idea is that high students will be randomly paired and expected to write anonymous emails to one another. The rules are relatively simple in that constant contact must occur, it'll happen for the entire school year, all emails will be monitored, and students are forbidden from revealing their identities before the end of the project. Anyone can be paired with anyone and one can only imagine what hijinks might ensue.​

It snowed that morning.

Snowfall was considered to be a good omen in Tethe'alla, but Hawke Celurian could not disagree more. It was during cold weather when the birds vanished and so did his entertainment. Little distracted him quite like the small avians that fluttered about just outside his window. Hours spent mulling over military strategies with Polaris was truthfully filled with watching birds glide about. It was also filled with a desire to leave his own cage. This was an impossible possibility, however, and one that was frequently shoved out of sight. Out of sight and out of mind, but not quite. Hawke still yearned for anything other than the throne and perhaps that was why he was so fixated with taking the one that Princess Annabelle sat upon.

He had truthfully never met the princess, but he loathed her all the same. She was just another naive soul that would be crushed in his continuous rise to power. He needed some of the resources that her nation offered and he needed them now. He imagined that no fairy tale wedding would save her kingdom in the end. Although it was almost entirely filled with snow and ice, Tethe'alla was much larger than hers. Both in size and population. Waging war with her country would likely be an easy victory. Or so he had hoped.

It was winter when Oliver Reed had gone to sleep and it was still winter when he awoke the next morning.

That didn't stop the mayor from ringing him at an un-goddessly hour, however. The first signs of spring were apparently in bloom and all were invited to see for themselves. Doubtful, but okay. That was still fine with Oliver. He truthfully had little to do today and welcomed the opportunity to leave home for a few hours. Cinnamon and Storm were his only saving grace at the homestead yet even they did little to ease perpetual anxiety. He hated acting idle. Between throwing together a last minute dish and keeping social appearances, it would be hard to get lost in his own head for right now. Winter was hard like that, but spring was alright. Oliver liked spring for the most part. "Yes, of course! I'll be there for sure! I greatly look forward to what bounties our Goddess has blessed us with this year!"

The optimism was as fabricated as his carefully crafted life of lies. These people were fools to be excited by the first sign of flower petals, but who was he to ruin their fun? The least that he could do was throw together a dish of some kind as a peace offering. He was atrocious at baking and fishing, so those options were ruled out. There was other alternatives, however. "Pancakes? Those are easy to make and I'm sure that Ferris would eat them if nobody else did."

"Yeah, pancakes. I'd have to be an idiot to ruin those." The commentary was directed towards an oversized rabbit that was silently moving about the household. The poor thing was probably freezing from this cold - Oliver certainly knew that he was. Winter was literally the worst season to exist and he saw no benefits to it. When the chill came on his birthday ever year, he had grown to dread the coming weeks. Winter slowed certain businesses in Root River, killed crops, and came with snow that piled upon every pathway. He had truly hoped that spring had actually come if it meant returning life to this otherwise desolate town. "Alright, Cinnamon. I'll be back in a few hours with the ingredients. Don't die or anything."

He hated winter.

At least the thaw was obvious and most of the snow had begun to vanish by the time that he stepped outside. He still wrapped a scarf around his neck and grabbed a white winter coat to stave away the remaining cold. He had half the mind to pop in and see how Ferris was doing so far, but decided against it. The kid had likely already been awake for hours anyway. He was probably deep in the woods or offering a prayer of some kind. He was naive like that, but Oliver couldn't blame him. He was once a believer too and grief had always brought people closer to the Harvest Goddess' message. Helping people was, admittedly, why Oliver had pursued his career as a priest in the first place. He knew that it was probably heresy and he also didn't care. If the Harvest Goddess was real, then she could strike him down with lightning where he stood. Maybe then, he'd actually believe in her existence again. It was these idle thoughts that led him to the local red bridge on the first day of the new year, every year, like clockwork. He had hoped to catch a glimpse of Her, but he had come to terms with the brutal reality. He would never see her as she did not exist.

" Ah. Good morning to you, Miss Peterson!" Speaking of outlandish belief systems, there was the Peterson sisters. They were outsiders like himself, but had only come to the village within the past few seasons. Their food was delicious and he was a regular, but they themselves were rather quite odd. Eccentric, even. He was fonder of Astrid than her sister as the latter had the tendency to flirt with anything that had a pulse. Both believed in a deity or deities that were foreign to Root River, however. This much was reflected in their strange trinkets and accessories that were scattered across their dining hall. It looked like Astrid had her religious memorabilia on her now as well. How strange it was to come across one of them at the site of where the Harvest Goddess was rumored to be seen. Could this be considered heresy for them? "I'm surprised to see you here this early. What bring you to the red bridge today?"
