Despite the rather warm weather if the beginning summer season and a beautiful baby to bring home, the coldness between his parents would not be thawed. Sooyeon hoped that providing her husband a beautiful, healthy baby boy would win his affections and put an end to the cold tension between them, but her hopes never came to head. Sooyeon’s career took her all over the world in her young adulthood and she fell in love with the world outside of Korea. That curiosity and desire to explore the world was unfit for the comfortable life she would live as the “trophy wife” to a Chaebol. When Cassian was born, and she received all the confirmation she needed about her loveless marriage she decided that a “comfortable” life wasn’t one she was interested in anymore and not one she’d force upon her son. After a couple of months of working out a convenient arrangement to avoid a messy divorce, Sooyeon relocated to Australia and began her career as a music teacher and a life as a mother. Cassian’s fondest memories are from his time living in Sydney, and despite rarely seeing his dad, he never felt like he was missing anything from his home life. Cassian’s love for swimming and surfing was born in Sydne. Which he sucked at both initially, but his love for them outweighed his frustrations and crafted the hardworking and persistent attitude he has for overcoming challenges. The competitions for both sports started in his middle school years and while he wasn’t an overnight success, his steady improvement certainly paid off with his first win and then the many following it. The summer between middle school and high school was the last he spent in Sydney. The agreement his parents had made so many years ago put a bad taste in his mouth when he was made aware of the “stipulations”. Reluctantly Cassian packed up his life in Australia and headed to the large estate his father owned and shared with the “new” family he had created. To say the least, High School was literally the worst time of his life, compared to the simple life he lived in Australia, Korea was hell. Expectations and reputation weighed him down with every step he took, his favorite past times were deemed as distractions to his necessary academic excellence. To prevent him from “wasting time” chasing after girls or “flailing about in a damn pool” Kyung-tae filled his schedule with after school academies, internships and skill classes. The only glimmer of hope that kept him going was escaping to America at the prestigious academy his father had chosen for him. Cassian graduated at the top of his class with honors and test scores most kids could only dream about... like he was expected to. Despite the six months he had until school started he shipped out to America on the soonest flight after his graduation celebration and spent the time before the start of his freshman year exploring places like Hawaii, L.A, and New York.

Upbringing Synopsis

Leonidas is the youngest of three between his immigrant mother and royal title holding father. Their love was straight out of a fairy tale, a struggling artist swept off her feet by a charming prince, and soon they lived happily ever after. Leon grew up in a happy home, his parents were patient and supportive, and challenged him to grow when he was in a stagnant spot. The home schooling he went through before high school was filled with hands on experiences and taught by the best teachers from around the world.

When high school came around Leon was eagerly accepted into a prestigious private academy in the heart of London. Kids of public figures from all over the world attended the school, and in his dorm created a community that gave Leo some of the best years of his life. Not only had he made lasting friends at the academy but he found his love for running and competing as he contributed to beating and setting new records on the Men’s 4x4 relay. Leo graduated as the Valedictorian with honors and scholarships to all the school he applied to but since his older siblings pursued music and modeling he took up the tradition of attending MU, and has no complaints so far.

Personality Traits

The many years of living amongst Korea’s elite have perfected his charming and polite mask. Though the more observant onlooker can see his smile never really meets his eyes, and despite a lengthy conversation, much about him remains shrouded in mystery. Cassian never really gives anyone the chance, much preferring his distance and maintaining the enigmatic reputation he has around business partners and older, well-established strangers.

Among his peer-level acquaintances, he presents a less agreeable and charming face. On the day to day ambition and success drive him forward, his steeled focus on achieving his goals and being the best, make him often appear unemotional. While he may present a face to the “movers and shakers” in this world he is rather genuine and true to himself. Away from the socialites of Korea, and away from the need to “save face”, he sees no value in trying to present himself as something he isn’t, and besides his field of study doesn’t do much of anything he doesn’t enjoy to do. So don’t expect too many apologies or many compromises from Cassian who has a poor tendency of being selfish and inflexible. Though if you can get past those hurdles, Cassian is someone you’d want on your team, his hunger for success has crafted quite a dilligent, hardworking, and persistent work ethic and approach to life. Eventually the pregnancy occured and two beautiful baby girls expanded the King family and lived lavishly from day one thrust into the spotlight. On screen the Kings were doting and loving parents, spoiling their kids and giving them the freedom to act on every wish and whim they had, it was really a fairytale life. Though media always has a way of hiding the dirty little secrets, when shooting wasn't happening for the show Aaryana and Lawrence were usually nowhere to be found, and hard to contact. Their lives that revolved around music and acting had no room to parent children that were the consquence of a wild sex life and irresponsible planning. Lorelei and Rose were often left to their own devices, nannies and butlers cared for the girls the majority of their childhood, and the love of their parents was purchased with money and delivered by personal assistants. Other celebrities sending their kids to Alexandrina Prep and getting public praise was largely the factor for the twins to be sent to the outskirts of London. Not that Lora was upset to be leaving the "comforts" of her Calabassas "home", adventure and partying awaited her in London.

Tragedy was a swift end to the family's stay in Italy, the boys returned to South Korea with their father after Gianna had lost her battle with depression. There was a brief period of time where the young boys were inseparable, perhaps as a means to survive the ache of missing a mom they'd have to learn to grow up without. Or so they thought... In time a polite, beautiful woman was introduced to the boys, she was the new bride to be for their father, and would become their new mother (something Roman was not pleased about). Up until this point, Roman and Nikoli grew up very much the same, participated in the same hobbies, ate the same food and shared the same bed on most days. For whatever reason after the marriage between their father and Eun Ah was finalized the woman spent her time doting on Nikoli and giving Roman the cold shoulder. What started ignoring the existence of her "other" son to her best ability evolved into exclusion and trying to separate the two brothers. Roman grew up in the house despite Eun Ah's best efforts to get him out of it, their relationship was volatile, and grew into a petty battle of trying to ruin the other under the noses of the other household members. After Roman's first love was chased away by the vile woman his brother had grown attached to, a fight between the brothers soon followed and it was enough to send the elder packing, suggesting to their father studying abroad would only enrich and better prepare him to take over the company and lead it into the future. That's how Roman found himself playing amongst the rich and the troubled in the Golden City.

Equal parts enigmatic and magnetic. Many people know of Chloé, between her successful social media presence and the success of her parents in the fashion and entertainment/hospitality industries, she wasn't someone who often went unnoticed.

So it was only a matter of time until the "It girl" label fell into Chloé's lap. What once was a studious girl who struggled under the burden of her parent's expectations with upkeeping perfect grades, being the star at her piano recitals and landing every center position in her dance teams, blossomed in High School. Still, among the top students in academics, she switched piano recitals for street racing and dance team competitions for "who can throw the best back to school summer party" competitions. For every story she posted at the "track" or a rager there was another of her riding the waves in Hawaii or on the back of an elephant in Bali.

Despite very publicly showing off her life, Chloé had perfected the art of keeping most people at a friendly distance. Conversations with her tended to focus on the other person, most people had never met or seen her parents outside their appearance in magazines and on tv, and many people that would claim to be Chloé's friend couldn't tell you anything about her that her loyal followers didn't already know. This part of Chloé, the part of not knowing her despite all the parties, the day trips to vegas, the late-night walks along the beach, was the part that seemed to intrigue people the most, because really 'who was she?'

Then there was the group of gearheads and misfits, a jumble of personalities that somehow seemed to work out well together, always in the background of her wildest party videos, bumming it out in her lazy travel days and sharing laughs with her over in-n-out burgers. These were her friends, actually, no, they were her family. With them, she was aggressively protective(no stranger to getting into conflicts to defend them), boisterous, perhaps a little too generous and, annoyingly stubborn (not everyone can be perfect).

Chloé has always had a rocky relationship with her parents, who have showered her in money and materials in place of actual love, and watched them increasingly treat each other as icy strangers. Upon reflecting she's come to realize how she approaches relationships and people in general because of this and is trying to be more open to deeper friendships and love, but everything take time.. and hopefully she figures it out before it's too late.

• Esthetics - no licensed yet but she hooks everyone up with skin care regimes.
• Fashion - Her father is a fashion designer and her mom a model, so fashion is in her blood.
• Baking - It's really calming and getting to eat the delicious treats is even better.

Her biggest dream is success, though she hasn’t quite nailed down how she’ll go about attaining it. Fashion, modeling, taking the reigns of her father’s conglomerate, her opportunities were there but her heart was in another place. Chloé’s heart yearns for a future abundant with happiness, and sharing that happiness with another person and maybe even a family.

On the surface level Chloé has alluded to being afraid of spiders and experiencing anxiety while flying. Among her friends she’s drunkenly complained about never being successful or turning out like her ‘shitty’ parents. Though deep down Chloé fears being abandoned the most, she’s afraid of losing her friends, falling in love and then losing her lover and even afraid of really losing her parents.

When international supermodel Lían Zhang traveled to France for Paris Fashion Week she hadn’t expected to fall in love with a devilishly handsome french businessman. The tabloids say it was love at first site and maybe it was, but a romance created in a passionate moments of a one night stand would sizzle out over the years.

The couple traveled the world together between their commitments to their work. They got married in Venice, announced their pregnancy in Morocco and brought their beautiful baby girl into the world in Singapore. Though they hadn’t accounted for the pause on their life having a child would bring.

They relocated to Paris, a hub of fashion and the headquarters of Raphael’s rapidly growing business. Chloé attended the best private school Paris had to offer, though her attendance was less than stellar. Chloé spent the majority of her school time in Paris and her breaks and summers in Singapore. Never thinking much of her parents time spent apart.

It wasn’t until Middle School did she come to a place she had yet to visit. With business opportunities for hotels and casinos ripe in the United States the “family” packed up their life and nestled in the heart of the rich and the famous on the west coast. For comfort Lìan Zhang had talked her mother into moving with them, to live comfortably in their large house and watching her only grandchild grow into a beautiful woman.

Chloé saw her grandmother more than her parents as she got older. Their icy distance between each other had them spending time in other states and countries flying home on whims only for the seldom holiday and to celebrate her birthdays, though once she got into high school assistants and mail carriers brought her cards and gifts in place of her parents. Though Chloé didn’t worry over it too much as long as her Nai Nai was around.

Rosemary was born in Hong Kong to a young, unwed mother who had found herself in a sticky position as a mistress to a successful businessman. Worried for both their lives the woman made arrangements to escape his influence and a 16-hour flight later landed in the heart of LA to live with distant relatives.

Life for them was pleasant, Rosemary was an easy kid, obedient and hardworking in school, and living with the relatives made their lives somewhat easier. Eventually her mother fell in love and moved them in with a wealthy older man that had won her "affections". Things were smooth sailing, for the most part, Rose bonded with her new "dad" who spoiled her, and her mother was finally living the life she wanted. Though in middle school Rosemary got caught up with the wrong crowd, regularly sneaking out, hanging out with boys much too old for her, coming home with the smell of alcohol on her breath, she was spiraling, adding stress to her parents' lives, and finally, it all crumbled around her. Just after freshman year her dad suffered from a heart attack, passing in the night while she was out partying with her friends.

The news was delivered the next morning with a firm slap to her face from her teary-eyed mother who called her many things and in a fit of rage said she had wished it was Rosemary gone and not her husband. The next year soured their relationship, Rosemary's mother took every chance she had to remind her daughter how she was unwanted, and how she had killed her father. A particularly tough time came as they were evicted from their house, a fight between the two finally broke through to Rosemary and in the middle of her sobs and late apologies her mother reminded her that no one in the world loved her anymore and bid her farewell and good luck with her new life. The woman watched emotionlessly as he daughter was drug out of the house and shipped off to Project Untamed.

Marcel is well manicured, he opts for a facial hair free face, shaped eyebrows and puts time into a skin care routine that maintains his smooth and hydrated complexion. He's got perfect pearly whites from top notch dental care and good habits, and has luckily found a barber in San Francisco that keep his hair nice. Marcel opts for a more casual style, he wears a lot of jeans, graphic tees, and bombers, and each clothing item seems to fit him just right. He accessorizes with rings, necklaces, and hats. ███████████████████████████████████████████ 【𝖱 𝖤 𝖯 𝖴 𝖳 𝖠 𝖳 𝖨 𝖮 𝖭】 Marcel has been a star since his first game at MHS, and he's let it get to his head quite a bit. Marcel is boisterous, sometimes the loudest in the room, and with the confidence that could easily be considered arrogance. He's a lad's lad, a go-getter, and calls it how he sees it, regardless of the trouble that could come as a consequence. Marcel's life motto might as well be "it's better to ask for forgiveness than permission," and he's got a lot of forgiveness to ask for.

███████████████████████████████████████████ 【𝖧 𝖨 𝖲 𝖳 𝖮 𝖱 𝖸】 𝐄𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐲 𝐋𝐢𝐟𝐞 Marcel was not born an Astor, in fact he was born to a single teen mother in the heart of London that wanted a better life for the beautiful baby boy than what she could offer him. Bianca Astor, an esteemed Italian artist, had just settled on expanding her family and when she first held Marcel in her arms she was enamored. The too loud, too busy Astor family was alive with congratulations and welcomed Marcel in as one of their own his first night in Sicily, and from that day on it was written in the stars. Marcel spent his early years watching his mother paint and sculpt around the bright two-bedroom apartment they shared in Florence, Italy. He attended her galleries and shows in his three-piece suit and bowtie and flashed his charming smile at all the affluent guests and buyers that came and went. It was an idyllic life, having a successful artist for a mother who encouraged and inspired him to explore his passions in whatever form they'd appear or to what ends of the world they'd carry him. "Mangia bene, ridi spesso, ama molto." 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐲-𝐌𝐢𝐝𝐝𝐥𝐞 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 Marcel's whims had him in and out of private classes and clubs during his elementary years; from violin to contemporary dancing, he tried everything he could think of and dropped them all just as quickly. His older family members would always tease him, telling him the one thing he was good at was flirting with all the girls in his grade and his teachers, and thus the nickname 'Galletto' back a running joke. In fifth grade, he found an interest in football after playing it with his aunts and uncles during a summer family gathering at the family's estate in Sicily. The following school year, he transferred to a larger school in Rome, joined the football club, and never looked back. In middle school, Marcel studied in London for Years 7 & 8, something about his aunt thinking his English was lacking and convinced his mom to let him stretch his legs a little more, see that there was a world outside of Italy. His first year in London was a blast, his outgoing disposition and natural charm got him in with a tight group of boys, and his football talents rocketed him up the social ladder. At the end of his second year, he got into a mostly harmless fight, but the insults thrown at him by the other boy lingered in his head until he built up the courage to ask his mom if he was, in fact, "adopted and unwanted." Bianca had never cried in front of her son, but at that question, and seeing the tears that brimmed those eyes that had brought her such happiness, she broke down. It was a good cry for them both, Bianca assured Marcel that he was loved, and brilliant and his biological mom loved him soo much that she gave him to a mom that would love him just as much and give him the life he deserved. "il mio Tesorino." 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 Marcel went back to Florence after his two years in London and expressed a want to experience America as his aunt and uncles had as teenagers. At first, Bianca was against it; with all the wild stories she heard about Alessio, Yessi, and Aurelio wreaking havoc and getting caught up in trouble, she didn't want that for Marcel. But eventually, as he was getting closer and closer to missing his chance, he finally appealed to his mother, asking her to trust him to make good choices and not jeopardize his dreams of making it into a professional soccer club. So Marcel arrived at MHS as a Junior and spent a hell of a year exploring San Francisco and landing it on the starting line-up of both Football teams, and getting a tight group of best friends and a cute little boo to call his own. Now, if only the consequences of his wild summer don't catch up to him, he'll be smooth sailing to graduation. ███████████████████████████████████████████ 【B E H I N D T H E M A S K】 Behind the bravado and arrogance is a young man afraid of failing. What Marcel desires the most is to make his mom and grandparents proud; he wants to affirm their decisions and not waste the sacrifices they've made for him. Part of this fear stems from an insecurity that his mom might regret choosing him if he doesn't amount to something grand or meaningful like her brothers and cousins have. Despite knowing this fear is irrational, as his mother has never been anything but an angel in his life, it does motivate, albeit sometimes to an unhealthy degree, where he's the last off the field, the last out of the weight room, and so on. Marcel also deeply appreciates his friends, and because all he's known is a chosen family, he makes sure to show up for his friends when no one else will. Outwardly he can be an asshole and often makes light of situations, but there's an intensity in his gaze and security in his presence when he's standing up for his friends or offering a shoulder to lean on. As a lover, he is very passionate, suave, and always says the right things (Some might call that manipulation, and others might call it charming.) Marcel falls "in love" quickly and has experienced falling out of love at the same pace. While you hold his heart and attention, he's doting, expressive, and exciting.
