I'm not in the discord (at this moment, that is) but my best guess would be that be that the activity has slowed considerably on both site and discord. Last time I checked the only regularly active thread was the Twi'lek RP. But it could be something else for all I know.

What's needed to start, for everyone to just know how to incidentally rp, is having the Jedi Exploration Corps and plot out from its Council of Reassignment.

That's the Republic entry for it.

There're even RPG books. "STAR WARS Savage Spirits" is the Jedi Exploration Corps one.

With Ruby unModded I think, since it's still seen at the frontpage-sector, that Role-Playing here is still indubetibly.

Centrally planned directions where people 'happen' to meet up would probably help. It gets stickier the more I look though. No single answer offers longevity...

Why strictly focus on cutting out the force-using? Just asking out of pure curiosity.

My guess is that it’s because it was a little tough to work out.

I mean, Star Wars without the force is like a western without gunslingers. You'd be better off coming up with your own original universe IMO.

Here are my two cents: Whenever I think a video game is cool, but there is a shit-ton of content already that you have to catch up on, it really puts me off. Maybe all you need is to wipe the slate clean and start fresh?

I'm more for an original universe/world though.

So the trick with this and the subsequent answer is the potential of the setting. A western that does a good deal of worldbuilding might get samey to people when literally everyone you meet is also a gunslinger. There was a fairly successful star wars game that got on well with a somewhat small, but devoted audience that explored everyone except Jedi/force users. I often hear the reason it failed is because of the update that added force users, resulting in everyone wanting to be that guy... resulting in that getting old rather quickly and the immersion of the game falling apart.

I don't strictly fall in this camp, but the trick is ending up with a very large scope project where everyone is special, and then nobody is special. The reverse, where nobody is special and everybody is unique can be a strong appeal when the setting has enough background for most people to just get started. You might lose the people who just want to play force users, but there have been examples where being more humble in a setting of special can be quite successful.

I think you're better off building it naturally.

Don't expect it to start with roomy sections and 10 meta threads. Start with something and branch into something more. I promise it's easier if it is started to grow, and plus it looks less silly if it dies off like this section.
