As for the ideas you suggested in the pm thread, I like the first two options the best! Azdrei'in would want to keep exploring the area to keep clearing out anything that he thinks could be a threat to his people, so he wouldn't stay put in Artemis's bunker for very long. If there are other immune humans who've formed a group, our characters could run into them at some point. It would be interesting to see what a group of humans would make of seeing a human and an alien together.

I do think the idea of the two being seen together would show that there is a chance to remain alive. If we first have it that she bluffs his weapon can do that... It would be interesting that the same group goes to trap him the next time?

Ooh, I like that idea! Does Artemis know there are other immune humans or would that come as a surprise to her?

Maybe the first time our MCs cross paths with the humans, they part ways just long enough for the humans to think Azdrei'in is alone. That's when they would come out to attack, but Artemis is close enough to the commotion that she notices and intervenes with her lie about his weapon, both to protect him and the group? Since Azdrei'in would kill them if he saw them as a threat. If Artemis could defuse the situation, it would keep anyone from dying.

The second time, the humans could come back with a plan. Maybe they think Azdrei'in has captured Artemis and is holding her against her will for some sort of malicious reason, so they think they're saving her by trapping him?

I think she would be aware of the possibility, but she never really saw them. So she knows she could also be alone.

And I love the whole idea... And maybe his entrapment makes him learn the language even faster. Maybe he even can use a tablet at Artemis her home.

Okay, cool. So she knows they might exist, but never saw them. I've got it :)

And I like the idea of Azdrei'in learning English by borrowing the tablet. That would keep him entertained during the evenings and nights. I imagine that Lunvalgans don't follow the same sleeping patterns as humans too. Instead of sleeping for eight hours all at once, they'd sleep for 4-6 and wake up for a few hours in the middle of the night before sleeping again for another 4-6. Being predators, they would sleep a little more than humans to do conserve energy between hunts like big cats and other carnivorous animals. So maybe 10 hours per day rather than 8. Even 12 or more sometimes if they really need to conserve energy

Anyway, when he wakes up during the night, he could study English on the tablet, and since he's a fast learner, he'd pick it up quicker than a human learning a foreign language would.

Sounds all pretty perfect to me :). And I might only reply tomorrow. I was thinking on having her needing some sleep soon anyway.

Okay! I was thinking that during the first night, Azdrei'in would spend part of his waking hours using the tablet for a while before he goes out again to look for something to eat. He might run into more infected humans while he's hunting. It would be kind of interesting if Artemis wakes up the next day to find him snoozing on the couch with bloodstains on his clothes (since he would have to use his fangs and claws rather than his weapon to hunt and fight)

That does sound good. Maybe her father was a big man so she could wash his clothes, so he could wear those clothes for a bit. And it would be fun to have it that he never really had a shower or rain. I think that living on a spaceship would make it that they don't use water all that much for other things than to drink it.

Maybe she can even get his device while he is out. But he would have to know the code to get back inside though. And he would have to know where to go to get inside.

Yeah, that would be fun. I like it! As for how he would get back, he could always prop something in front of the door to keep it from closing all the way, and since he hunts by tracking animals’ body heat he would just follow Artemis’s if he happened to forget where the door is after he leaves

True, but she wouldn't feel safe leaving the door open. I do have a bit of a plan to show him how he can get back.

I could see it going one of two ways. Either she would show him the code to the door before she goes to bed, or he would leave during the night and prop it open to get back inside. Since she would be asleep, she wouldn’t know he was going out in the first place, so she would wake up (maybe he leaves the door propped open because he forgets to close it) and have a reason to show him the code then?

Hey! Sorry to hear you had covid. How are you doing?

I'm suuuper torn about picking up again because I'd love to keep going from where we left off, but I also have 9 active RPs right now so my hands are very full ^^; Would it be too much for me to ask to have a little time to consider it and see if I have enough free time to add another story? I'm just reluctant to jump right back in and find myself with an overwhelming amount of posts to write each day.

It doesn't have to be each day if that helps. Any moment you have time. You can post. I understand real life. If that even helps you a little. I might only reply tomorrow, my new laptop is still setting itself up. But let me know what you think.

Otherwise I will just give you the time to think about it.

And It was mild but about 3 weeks of being sick and coughing. Still have issues with my smell about two weeks later.

I do have one partner that may possibly be going on hiatus again, since I haven't heard anything from her in almost 2 months, so you know what? Why not? xD I'll possibly just be posting closer to weekly rather than daily because I'm trying to stagger replies so I don't overwhelm myself.

I'll have to reread what we've written so far so I can remember what we were doing!

I'm glad you only had a mild case. I've been doing well! My husband and I just bought a house, so we're in the process of moving. I'm doing almost all the heavy lifting, since I don't have a job right now. Plenty of time to pack while he's at work :) It's a lot to manage, but I don't have much else to do during the pandemic, so I've been enjoying it.

Congrats on the new home :) I hope you don't have to do too much work. But moving is quite fun to be honest. And setting everything up in a clean home. And I also am going to have to reread.

And I just finished reading the whole twilight series again and the new midnight sun. Now reading the new hunger games book.
