Possession of Cannabis February 11th 2002 (18) Male Paranoid Attack

Dominic stands at exactly six feet tall with a skinny frame, toned mildly but otherwise slim. His skin tone is pale and milky in its colour, showing a lack of sun exposure. His body is gangly in its silhouette, long arms and legs but otherwise a semi-decent posture about the young man. His hair is a mess of thick curled strands, originating from two crowns atop his head. In the hotter months, these curls bleach at the end, his already mousey blond hair going blonde with the exposure. His eyes are deep brown in colour, a gift from his mother, and are quite large in their shape. His cheekbones are high, his mouth is small, and his nose is wider than average. All together, Dominic is a handsome young man, or he would be if he put any effort into his appearance.
What Dominic dresses himself in is sloppy and slapped together. Often things he wears are creased or crinkled, an unenthusiasm to take care of his clothes being the cause. Most often, Dominic can be seen wearing a bleach dyed black jumper along with khaki shorts and a battered old pair of trainers. He often adorns himself with jewellery, including two ringed ear piercings as well as a number of necklaces hanging at similar lengths. When in the iconic "Community Payback" jumpsuit he is required to wear during community service, Dominic usually wears it wrapped around his waist, black shirt over his torso.
When Dominic's power is in effect, his nose will start to bleed, and he will clutch his head out of instinct.
Dominic was brought in for possession of illegal substances, in his specific case, cannabis. He was found smoking a mixture of tobacco and cannabis outside of a bar frequented by youths, in which he (along with a number of others that night) was detained and later brought in front of a court. On his person was found a small amount of cannabis (2.74g to be exact) along with cannabis-centric paraphernalia. As this was Dominic Walker's first-ever offence, he was sentenced a one-hundred-and-thirty-pound (£130) fine along with three-hundred (300) hours of unpaid community service in compliance with his Anti-Social Behavioural Order. The question is, how and why was he there that night, and what will he make of this.
Dominic was born in the nearby city of Liverpool, home to the Beatles. He lived in a less-wealthy suburb, a child to a single mother. His father had left them, pursuing a better life with a second partner. Then a third. Then a fourth. You get the point. He grew up with his mother barely able to make ends meet, giving him what little she could. It wasn't long until the poor old girl worked herself sick. She ended up severely anaemic when Dominic was only seven years old, and she soon enough past a few days after his eighth birthday. He was sent to live with his uncles family, along with his cousins.
To say that Dominic and his uncle didn't have the best relationship is an understatement. Be it the clashing heads of two very stubborn heads, or simply Dominic not taking kindly to his discipline, Dominic and his uncle never saw eye to I. His uncle would beat him, and Dominic would mentally freak out and destroy the house as a result. His relationship with his cousins wasn't too bad, he enjoyed having someone his age around the house to talk to, but he was constantly treated as second best toward them. He felt like more baggage to them. These feelings of guilt were only intensified by his uncle's words. All of his broken promises, all of the beatings. They all showed as clear as day that he wasn't wanted. His words couldn't be trusted, he was just ruining his family, he didn't have the heart to tell Dominic. So he left.
At age sixteen Dominic packed a bag and left in the middle of the night, never looking back. He found himself in Manchester, got himself a conditional rent offer in a hostel flat, and got himself a job in a fast-food store to support himself. He was free from his uncle, but the world felt like it was closing in around him. The paranoid thoughts never stopped, neither did the outburst or headaches. They got worse. It got to a point where he threw up over a customer in work because he couldn't take all the eyes on him. He thought about going to the doctors, but he worried they'd throw him into a home, he couldn't do that to himself. They'd send him back the first chance they got.
Luckily, as if a gift from God, cannabis came into his life.
A girl from work who was sweet on him had asked him to go out one summer, and she had brought it out with her as they had been unsuccessful in procuring alcohol. After smoking it, Dominic found that while still paranoid, he could much more easily dismiss his thoughts while intoxicated. This was his first encounter, and over the following month, he would become codependent on the stuff. It had gotten to the point where an intense feeling of highness was no longer possible, but rather it became a pure calming agent to him. It made him genuinely happier.
So that's why not long after the mans 18th birthday he was found smoking a bit of cannabis outside of a shitty little gig his friends had invited him to. He was simply making sure that the loud noises and lights wouldn't make him freak out. But sadly a policeman was in attendance and seemingly wasn't having a very good day, resulting in Dominic having to do community service.
He sees it as an annoying incident that will definitely affect how much food he can eat for the next few months, but otherwise, Dominic just wants to get it over and done with as quickly as possible. But as we all know, a storm is coming....
Dominic has the ability to induce a sense of panic within another person. Doing this also lands Dominic in an intense state of panic. Under Dominic's effect, a person with be flooded with thoughts from Dominic's own mind. Essentially, Dominic can perform reverse empathy, but his current mental state only allows him to induce a feeling of crippling paranoia within someone. Dominic can only affect someone if one of two conditions are true.
a) He has direct contact with someone, in there a person can accurately hear his thoughts and startled or thrown into a panic themselves.
or
b) He has maintained eye contact with someone for long enough where he can project it through mental projection, which takes a lot more to do. When this is done Dominic usually begins to gush blood from his nose and the veins on his forehead pulse chaotically. If the target has their eyes obscured in any way, this aspect of his power is useless.
