NB | “Cy” | 20
Appearance:
Cy is taller than average at 5'10, with a deep tan from swimming. Their hair and eyes contrast as snowy white and icy blue, respectively. Usually dressing in cool tones like blues, purples, and an occasional pop of bright color, Cy prefers clothes that are comfy and understated. They've got a lot of sleek joggers, snazzy jackets, and vibrant graphic tees to pair with high-top sneakers and boots. Not a stranger to dresses and skirts in any way though, traveling's just easier with more functional clothes. Cyan identifies as gender-fluid, and depending on the day, they'll play up their features a certain way. Finally, accessories typically involved in the get up are bracelets, bangles, or a simple pair of trainer gloves.
Background:
Cy's dad died when they were a young girl of age seven. Cy's mother was distraught but did what she could to support them both. Her sister, Cy's aunt, moved in with them to help, and that was their family pretty much. Their little pod didn't have the most money, but it was enough. Sunyshore being the major port town and having a fantastic beach was enough for any child to go running around and explore, which Cy did. The beach was an especially frequented spot, as Cyan loved to swim and surf. Not to mention the throngs of pokemon that they would see under the sea were fantastical and wondrous. It's no surprise then that they developed a love for water types.
School was different than free time, though. As a child, they were bold, reckless, and daring when they were off adventuring, as many children are. But they were also shy around new people, especially when other kids started making fun of them at school for trying to be a boy. Cyan didn't understand a lot of things at that age, as many kids don't, but they did learn that they needed to disguise their shyness as something else. So Cy drew walls up, tried not to talk to anybody. They just wanted to be alone.
Around Cy's tenth birthday when they were gifted with a pair of ice skates, as mother and aunt had noticed that Cy seemed to be a little quieter, less perkier than usual. In short, Cy fell in love with skating—it gave them confidence, purpose, and pride to shield them even. And as ice-types were similar to water types, Cyan thought, 'why not both? They're pretty much the same thing anyways.' They were two sides of the same coin, just like Cy.
The following years were structured, as they are for children. Cy spent he majority of it alone, preferring to explore every nook and cranny of the city than put up with other kids. It just so happened then, during one of these many excursions, that they'd meet an exotic companion to boot at the busy, frequented Sunyshore ports. An Azurill that had come from somewhere, Cy's not sure to this day. But Mazi stuck around, being a loyal friend to Cy for the years to come.
Fast forward to twenty and Cy is roughly a year and a half into their trainer journey. They're hoping to making something of themselves by hopefully entering sports competitions and the like with their pokemon. Hoping to gain some career traction and find their self more, they're ready for adventure. That said, they're also going to have to face people on a professional, competitive, and personal level. And Cyan doesn't feel ready for that in the least bit.

Personality:
A little prickly and hard to feel out, Cy's built up walls. Their shyness from childhood isn't quite there as much as there is wariness. Cyan is skeptical of people, their intentions, and what they say. People try to box you in and shut you out, and Cyan has experienced enough of that. But they're not rude, nor are they unkind. Cy just speaks briefly, as they're never sure what to converse about. When people dig a little deeper and try to have genuine conversation, even Cy surprises themself with how vocal they can get.
When upset, Cy prefers to retreat or shut down. As communication happens to be the very thing Cy sucks at, they're not great at telling people what they did wrong but they will act passive aggressive instead. Still, Cy's a big softie who will appreciate any apology or some kind of peace gesture, if they don't make it themself first. Friends are rare, and if Cy finds a true one, they definitely want to keep them.

Triton
Piplup ◼ ♂ ◼ Proud | Loyal ◼ Torrent
Proud and a stickler for enforcing the rules, Triton considers himself the general manager of the team. Everyone's supposed to be doing something or the other, and he needs to make sure things are getting done. What things specifically, Triton doesn't know exactly, but his generally impatient nature insists there's always something important to be working on.
Daru
Darumaka-Galarian ◼ ♂ ◼ Mischevious | Rule-breaker ◼ Inner Focus
The newest of the new editions to the team, Daru is here to stay and party it up. His general playful nature and goofy antics contrast sharply with how well he focuses in battle. Daru may be a joker, but he is no fool, that's for sure.
