How do I do thiiiiis

Heylo

So I'm new here and I'm kinda just trawling the boards looking for something interesting to join, but it all really seems a bit daunting. I'm especially eyeing the threads which are all Jump-In and stuff, but what do you guys normally do?

Should I read all the posts before I jump in? I feel like I might miss something important... or not?
There are threads with like 100+ posts after all ahaha.

It's a bit intimidating and I'm not sure how to get started haha

I tend to read everything so that I can get a feel for the characters before starting but I’ve met some who only reads the newer and relevant information or asked for summaries especially for long-standing roleplays. Either way a good place to start off would be to post your interest in the OOC or message the GM directly since each roleplay is different.

Like Rina said, best practice when you're unsure is to ask the GM - they all have different preferences.
