Ash eyed a horde of monstrosities, "Alright Merlin, let's see what we can do about this."
I can burn them all, let me be in control
"Not what I had in mind ol pal."Ash replied.
"No we going big or going home."
not the chainsaw again.
"You damn skippy, but we're going big and double the fun!"
The magic swirled around Ash's good arm, morphing it into a long bladed chainsaw to match the other magical enhanced one.
Ash ran forward into the fray of deadites and Vampires, his chainsaws ripping and tearing thru bodies, and a few decapitations.
While Elvis song Trouble blared from the concert in the stadium.

Somewhere in the city park, there is a circular anomaly. It's a tear in the fabric of reality, intentionally put there by men. But it wasn't any men in this universe, this sort of technology either doesn't exist, or is very rare. Men in another reality, another universe, are responsible.

As soon as Gary steps though, the portal closes. He has no way back to where he is from until he completes the mission, then agents will open portals and come retrieve him. The Romans used to burn their ships so as to make it so victory or death were the only options. Gary's employers operated on the same philosophy.

He took a look around. There was no sign of any world-ending monsters in sight. With a shrug he went off to find the nearest dive bar. It was possible he would die, so may as well have a few last drinks before then.

Meanwhile.....on a mountain top overlooking the city below.
"I didn't think you would come." Goemon said.
The tiny samurai squirrel stared coldly at Goemon' S toe, before looking up at his dark eyes.
"I assumed you would be out gathering nuts."
Izo lept thru the air with such speed and agility, as his tiny blade clanged with Goemon's own blade.
Goemon smiled.
"I knew that would get a rise out of you."
The two gifted samurai warriors exchanged strikes to blocks, and blocks to strikes for a good 3 days.
The sun set, and the sun rose as the two of them battled, but neither gaining the upper hand.
"You are quite the swordsman for a rodent." Goemon smirked.
"Chirp bark yip chirp" Izo replied.
"Touche" exclaimed Goemon as if he understood what Izo said, and perhaps he did.
