Daniel Palaiologos and Shielder (Red Faction)

Daniel Palaiologos did not like being humiliated, over and over again. First by falling for his Grandfather’s lies, then by having to pay a fine to the Clock Tower. Granted, the latter was an organization he had wound up joining anyway and much to his surprise, had enough decent folks within it in order to warrant siding with. But the point was that losing all of the Peleoponnese to his Grandfather and his so-called ‘Philosopher Kings’ was the latest indignity he was suffering in this entire twisted business.

Latest, but not the last. For finding out he spent six years of his life serving a genocidal monster who taught him that the other side were the genocidal ones was a serious source of ire for Daniel. A source of ire that quite frankly, made him want to just set things right.

As he paced the ruins of the actual Hexamilion wall, now a world heritage site, he heard Shielder step towards him, his expression one of enjoyment in the moonlight.

“Would you look at that!” the Servant said to Daniel, “The moon is full, the stars are bright outside of the city, and the Corinth Canal is booming with ships passing through. Quite a great day of destiny, don’t you agree, Master?”

Daniel turned to his ancestor before nodding and saying, “So, I’m leaving strategy to you - What should we propose the Red Faction do?”

Constantine XI, Shielder, spoke simply, “Ally with Yggdmillennia. Send familiars urging a truce. And before you object, I sent your Familiars - The Raven ones - to send the truce proposal anyway."

Daniel’s gaze steeled, “You shouldn’t have, ancestor - That’s what I’d say if not for the fact that Mr. Okayu won’t care, and he’s the legal authority here as far as I know. By the way, how is the Cat, anyway?”

Constantine said, “He seemed fine, although he probably needs some milk. Now, the other Masters, I think we should have them fan out across the Peleoponnese to scout out the area. What do you think?”

Daniel mused, “I’m not sure I even have a leadership role beyond ‘local guide’. Nevertheless, tell them too that if they need to know what the magical hotspots in the area are, I am happy to help.” He paused, “That said, I’ll be holding the fort alongside you just in case they get beaten back and need to retreat - They deserve the spotlight in this conflict, after all…”

Anastasios Palaiologos and the Spare Saber (Purple Faction)

It didn’t take someone of his decades of experience to realize that Yggdmillennia was the wild card in this entire fracas, and with Darnic, their former leader, incapable of leading the faction, Anastasios Palaioogos believed that all it took was sufficient gall in order to propose and seal a truce with said ‘wild card’.

That, and downplaying the fact that he wanted to cull three billion people to frighten the rest into ignorance, despair, and enslavement - Some people found that distasteful for some reason. Nevertheless, the old man, newly hale and hearty despite his evident age, had sent familiars in the form of ravens to Yggdmillennia proposing a truce and an alliance of convenience against the hated Mages’ Association, reminding them that while he had stolen from their former leader, it was the Mages’ Association which cast them aside and prevented them from reaching their true potential and that even if their own group cannot forgive the Philosopher-Kings, they should at least leave aside all conflict between them until the Mages’ Association were defeated.

As he stood on the balcony of his Neo-Gothic manor house in Mount Taygetus, a Neo-Gothic manor house with towers and a high concrete wall meant to emulate the castles of old, Anastasios, shadowed by Altera, waited for his own ravens to return, knowing full well that the Magus’ Association would try the same strategy and guessing that their own dislike for Yggdmillennia would ensure that they will lag a few seconds behind his’ own messengers. He grinned and thought, Perfect.

As the future Crown Princess of Norway, one would expect the young princess to remain in her home country and tackle the affairs of the state even if it was a constitutional monarchy where the king didn’t get into politics often. Lovise had been groomed from day one of her birth to be able to make the decisions of a world leader should her father become king at some point when her grandfather abdicated. It did not look like Harald V would be leaving office anytime soon even if he was pretty old for being the King of Norway.

Her prowess with Runecraft started from the generations of Norwegian monarchs that were able to have a sort of good connection with the Norse god, Odin. Hence, the teenage royal arrived to Greece with her two raven familiars perched on each shoulder. She was expected to meet up with Daniel Pailologos at the Hexamillion Wall which was easy enough to spot as a World Heritage site. Combined with her studies at the Clock Tower, she was a little proud of her lineage being the main factor of having a little sway into politics if need be.

When she spotted the young man with a much taller man, the Norwegian royal would rush on over to greet him in Norwegian accented English. “Hello, hello! I am told that there would be a meeting at the Mages Assocation site, yes?” She would add in her own introduction with a polite curtsy. “And excuse my manners, I have not introduced myself properly. My name is Lovise, Princess of the Kingdom of Norway or future heir to the throne once my dear grandfather steps down as my father would take his place.” After that, the girl would wait for the other to respond to her though she had to admit that it was a rather strange place to be holding a meeting.
