Roxy wasn't surprised when informed her that he one of his mistresses had had a son and he was naming that child heir. She had always know her father wanted a son and the minute he had one she would be displaced. She was both surprised and pissed when her father that her only value she had was through marriage. He was marrying her to one of his allies. She refused telling him this wasn't the eighteen hundreds. He couldn't force her to marry. He told that she either married the man he chose or she could leave. She chose to leave.

Evey holiday she made a mandatory family portrait. She also came whenever there was an interview or media event that required the whole 'family' to be present. She visited her brother whenever her father wasn't home. She didn't want him to know she visited her brother.

"I was finally able to trace that disc your old partner stole." Roxy froze at the words coming out of her father's office. He wasn't supposed to be here. He would use that knowledge against her. She carefully slid into the shadows the way she had been trained.

"Good. The last thing I need right now was for that information to come to light. No one can find out about that project." Her father said. Roxy frowned. She had no idea what they were talking about but this could be the thing she had been looking for since she was sixteen.

The main doors of Bayshore University's local bar swung open, briefly allowing the chatter of its occupants to escape into the quiet night as the tipsy performer stumbled out into the porch and down the stairs towards the side road running through the campus. Taking up some other student's challenge to a drinking game probably had not been a good idea, but it definitely was not the worst he had gone through with at these bar events. His head was spinning, but at least this time, he did not pass out or have the urge to throw up. Despite the inconveniences, including the repercussions in the morning, there was a certain thrill he got from being in such a state, a thrill that always seemed to be worth it all at that point in time. He would not call himself an addict, he only did it because he could.

Wyn settled down at the curb of the side road and twisted open a bottle of water to take a sip. The plain liquid, together with the silent and dimly-lit surroundings made him feel slightly better. This was what he always ended up doing if the life inside the bar got a little too much to handle on such nights. His roommate knew this, and would come out to check on him after some time whenever he would excuse himself in such a way. Kirk was pretty much Wyn's partner in crime, albeit more responsible. The former was usually around to support him during his music performances at the bar, and to haul his wasted self back to the dormitory if required. Fortunately, that second one would likely not be the case tonight. He was going to be fine after zoning out for a bit.

It took some time for Roxy to hack into the PI's phone to get the information on the person the spy was following. She didn't recognize the name at first. It wasn't until she started going through the file that she recognized the name. Not the guys name but his father's. The man had worked with her father. She didn't remember what he did but it would come to her. She closed the folder and slide it into her pocket.

She climbed onto her motorcycle and headed towards the address listed in the information. It took almost two hours to reach the address by bike. She had to find a place to hide the bike. She was going to need something bigger for kidnapping. Kidnapping a man wasn't ideal. While nothing in his profile didn't indicate that he could fight. He was bigger and heavier than she was. She was going to get him close to the vehicle she chose. Hopefully she could figure out how by the time she got to him.

It was late by the time she found the man. Luckily he was outside. She parked the van in front of him. She didn't know if he was the handy type or even the helpful type. She would only have one. Chance to get him into the can. She got out of the van. She went around to the back and opened the trunk. Than she looked over at him. "Excuse me can you help me."

Wyn paid no attention to the muffled sounds coming from within the bar some distance behind him, nor the occasional vehicle driving past him as he sat in silence. Staff and students would come and go at various timings during these events, so would caterers and other service providers. It therefore was not unusual to still have a little activity along the side road even at such time of the night. With the aforementioned in mind, Wyn did not think twice when a van pulled up in front of him, assuming that it was there to drop an order of something off at the bar.

A call for assistance caught his attention, and he turned to see a young woman by the now-open trunk addressing him directly. Well, there was no one else around at the moment, and he probably looked sober enough already to be able to offer whatever help she was requesting from him. The dizziness was almost gone, but he could feel a headache starting. Despite that, he set the bottle of water down and got up to approach her. Should the organizers not be aware of any supplies coming in? They would usually communicate with the delivery personnel and have people come out to receive the items.

"Delivery?" He asked as he went around to the back of the van. "You should have a number to call. Did no one answer? Let's see what this is about..."

Delivery huh. Roxy thought. That would work. Whatever got him over to the van. She tried to look like a confused college girl. Someone who didn't know what was going on but was trying to get the job done. Kidnapping wasn't something that she had ever thought about doing. She hadn't researched how to do it. Nor had she practiced it. All she could do was wing it and hope for the best. She wait until he was beside her. It was a risk. He would be able to see that the back was empty but it was her best chance at getting him into the van.

Once he was beside her Roxy pushed him as hard as she could. She was hoping that his drunken state would propel him into the can. It was the only way she could think of something think of to get him in the van. If the plan worked she would slam the door closed behind him. It would lock automatically. He wouldn't be able to escape until she opened the back again.

Wyn was confused to see that there was nothing in the trunk. Before he could turn to question the young woman, a hard shove from behind sent him right into the trunk before he heard the door slam shut behind him. It took him a moment to recover from the sudden hit and fall, his head hurting more than before due to the impact. He instinctively scrambled to the door to leave the vehicle, and discovered that he could not. He first asked himself what was happening, but thinking back to how he was baited to the back of the van before he was pushed and locked in, it was obvious - this was an abduction, but what for?

As a performer, he was pretty much considered a local celebrity on campus, but he was not that popular to have crazed fangirls wanting to kidnap him. Plus, that only happened on television, right? Or could it be... no, they could not have found him. He had told the same made-up story of his childhood so many times that he had almost forgotten about what really took place. Everyone he had been in contact with before the incident was either dead or had no idea what happened to him. However, something else then struck him - could it have something to do with that parcel he received the day after his twenty-first birthday just a while ago? He had not properly looked at it yet, but it had something to do with his biological parents' belongings. Perhaps they were able to somehow trace him from that delivery.

Wrapping his fingers around the grill that separated him from the woman in the driver's seat, he dragged himself closer to practically yell at her. "Look lady, I don't care how many guys have told you that this is okay if you're cute, it's not! You going to tell me what you want from me?"

He did realize that those words would probably make it sound like he was trivializing the current situation, but if he did not try to cope with this using some humor, he would completely lose it.

Roxy started the van and headed down the street. She drove casually as if this was an ordinary night instead of what it was. She snorted when he suggested that this was some kind of prank or challenge. She didn't blame him for thinking that. She could see some teenagers do something like that. She agreed it wouldn't but cute or funny. It definitely wasn't ok. Unfortunately this was the only choice she had.

"I want to protect you from my asshole sperm donor. And I want revenge." Roxy admitted. She couldn't call him father. He had lost the rights to that name. He was simply a man who had once been a part of her life. She would have walked away completely if it hadn't been for Drake. It wasn't her brother's fault that their father was an asshole.

"I want the data chip that belonged to your father." She told him bluntly. She needed that chip to safe guard herself and her brother. With this information she could make sure that her freedom would never be jeopardized again and her brother would be able to choose his own path.

Wyn had half expected her not to respond. He was in no position to make her tell him anything, after all, but give a response she did, though it was rather vague. She wanted to protect him? There must be a reason why she took him by force instead of approaching him with a warning about whatever he was in danger of. It was likely that she did not want him going to the police for protection, which would mean that this 'revenge' she was planning was probably illegal. The fact that she had anticipated his unwillingness to go along with whatever she wanted to do gave him a really bad feeling about what was to come, but he fought to suppress his apprehension as he continued to assess the situation.

A data chip? He remembered that his biological father had been involved in some questionable stuff, but he had no idea what exactly, and he was certain that the aforementioned had not handed him anything close to what could be considered a data chip. He then thought back to that parcel - that must be it. He had not been in contact with anyone or anything related to his original identity since he took on his new one, until recently, and some stranger snatches him off the street right after that. If there was any possible way out of this, he should at least try it. He was pretty good at putting up a façade, due to more reasons than one. Just act dumb - it was worth a shot.

He rolled over, leaning back against the partition between them, but he was still right next to the grill meaning they could still hear each other. "Protect me? You know, for a moment there I thought you actually cared about me, but why would you? I don't even know who you are, but you seem to know me. Unless you don't because you have the wrong guy. My father never gave me any sort of data chip as far as I know, and I've hardly seen him since I started university."

Roxy shrugged. "Nope. I don't expect you to believe I have good intentions." No one believe that. Even though it was true. Sort of. She wouldn't say that she was being selfish. Nor was she a hero. She was doing what she had to do to accomplish her goal. She had no delusions he would cooperate. There was little reason for him to. Especially since he didn't know that he was in danger. Maybe she should have waited until her father attacked.

She shook her head. "I don't have the wrong guy. Your father worked with mine when you were younger." She explained. It wasn't likely to remember much. They had both been young. She didn't remember him being brought to the office at any time. She had been the only child in the building most of the time and she had only been there because she had been in training to be her father's second.

"You haven't see your father in years because he died years ago. If he was still alive I would gone after him since he was the moron who thought he could get away with stealing from my father." She told him as she drove through the city. She had no idea how get him from the van to the safe house. Hopefully she would think of something by the time they got there.

That first part about this strange woman actually caring for him had just been another attempt at dry humor, but he was not surprised when she actually took it seriously. Who would not in such a situation? Again, this was not television, though, he did not see the point in freaking himself out by focusing on the fact that he likely was in really big trouble. It was not as if he could do anything for himself or her, at least not until he had more information. All he knew was that there was some data chip and that both their fathers had been involved in whatever this was. So, that was what that whole 'sperm donor' thing had been about. She clearly had something against her own father. Wyn should have probably figured it out sooner, but as someone who had just been abducted when he had barely sobered up, he was not going to be too hard on himself for that.

She clearly knew her stuff. The person he had mentioned hardly seeing was his adoptive father, but she started telling him about his biological one. He considered that she still could not be too sure that she was telling all of this to the right person, and debated continuing with his clueless act. It was true that he knew nothing about this data chip, however, since his biological father had not mentioned it to him even until his death. Maybe she was right about him being a moron to have done whatever he did, maybe not. Regardless of whether or not she would eventually buy his act, it would probably help to obtain more details right now.

"Listen sunshine, as much as I'd like to help you out with your family issues, I don't know how I can. What even is this data chip you claim I have? Also, any idea how long this is going to take? I'm not sure how you're going get away with keeping me for more than a day. If my roommate doesn't call the cops, someone will, because like, half of Bayshore's campus is going to realize I'm missing."

Roxy shrugged. She wasn't afraid of the cops. She had trained to spy on her father's competition. She knew how to avoid the cops. The cops were the least of her problems. "Let them call. What are they going to tell the cops? That you disappeared after a night of drinking?" She challenged him. Did he really think the police could do anything to help him? He wasn't that important to anyone else. "No one saw me and I was out of the cameras range. As far as the world is concerned you decided to take a walk and disappeared."

While she hadn't had a lot of time to plan she had looked up the school and it's security. She hadn't had time to do much beyond see what kind of security system they used and get the specks. Making sure she was out of range hadn't been hard. "My father knows where you are. He has verified that your the son of his old partner. He knows you were given the chip when you turned twenty-one. He's spending his men down to capture you. So your choice are me or him." She told him bluntly. She could prove that his witness protection had been compromised.

Wyn let out a short chuckle. "I like the confidence. Well, I'd have probably liked it more if we had met under different circumstances, perhaps over a drink or two back at the campus bar..."

Just fantastic, dude. Flirt with your freaking kidnapper, why don't you? No wonder everyone thinks you're incapable of taking anything seriously... he thought to himself right after he said what he did. His charm had gotten him what he wanted on more than one occasion, but the stoicism of this woman was a sign that the chances of it working on her were slim. Even so, why should he not be himself in such a situation? It seemed pointless to mope about his past finally catching up to him. His life had been almost too good to be true up till now, and fate never promised it was going to continue.

"You or him? So you're supposed to be the nice one? I guess I can believe that. Regardless, as they say - better the devil you know than the devil you don't. Not that I can say that I know you, actually. You want to give me a name, or shall I just keep calling you sunshine?"

A sudden realization about what she had just said then hit him. If her father had found out his location, did that mean that his friends and anyone else currently close to him were in trouble? He quickly turned back to the grill to make an urgent inquiry.

"Wait, he knows where I was? So... if his guys go over and don't find me, what's going to happen to anyone who is there?"

"I doubt that since I don't drink." She told him. Drinking was a weakness. She couldn't afford to be weak. Strength was the only way to survive her world. Now more than ever she needed to have control. She wouldn't go to college. She couldn't. Roxy pushed the thought away. Now wasn't the time to worry about it. She check the mirrors to make sure she didn't have a tail. The last thing she needed was someone to follow them.

"I doubt anyone would describe me as nice but I won't hurt you." Roxy explained. She wouldn't have to. With the chip she could bring her asshole father down. Revenge for turning his back wasn't her only motive but she would never deny it played a big part in her current goal.

"My name is Roxy." She answered when he asked her name. She saw no reason to not to. He would either help her take down a criminal enterprise or they would go down in the attempt. Either there was no risk to giving him her name. "They won't draw attention to themselves by harming anyone at the college. At most they'll search your room and take your devices while the others are in class." She assured him.

"Well, thanks for letting me know, I guess..." he trailed off, turning back to rest his head against the partition between them.

He was relieved knowing that everyone else was safe. Well, as relieved as he could feel while currently in the back of the van of some criminal gang princess. As expected, she persisted in not entertaining his attempts at humor. The fact that she seemed so focused on whatever she was planning to do told him that she probably had no interest in mind games, which meant that whatever she was telling him was likely the truth. It might even be safe to think that she would not be doing what she was if she had other options. That would actually be rather tragic, in a way. Was he starting to feel sympathetic towards her? He was no psychology expert, but he did not think that Stockholm's Syndrome was supposed to kick in this quickly. This was just his mind drifting off, however. She could possibly be misunderstood, right?

"I guess I don't have to tell you my name. I mean, you probably know way more about me than just that," he pointed out, though, he wondered which name she would address him by. "So, Roxy, are we there yet?"

Roxy shrugged when Wyn said he didn't have to tell her his name. "I saw it in the report." It wasn't his real name. She wondered if he remembered what that had been. He had been old enough to remember his birth name. Still she could understand why he might have forgotten. It probably wasn't something that he had thought about much over the years.

"No not yet. We should be there in few minutes." She had found an old house an hour from the university. It had a basement in case she needed to lock him up. She wasn't sure if she would have to lock him up or not. He wasn't here willing and while he might believe her that didn't mean he was willing to stay with her. "Are you going to cooperate when we get there or do I have to get you inside the hard way?" She asked him seriously. She needed to know how much of a fight she was going to have on her hands when they got to the house.

Wyn's mind somehow kept defaulting back to the idea that Roxy was taking this way too seriously, and had to constantly remind himself that he was the one not taking this seriously enough. Perhaps he knew deep down that this whole thing was going to bring a whole lot of unpleasant memories back, and he refused to feel the way he felt all those years ago. He could sense some naivety under this woman's shell, especially after her question about him cooperating. Was she expecting him to tell the truth even if he was not going to cooperate? Then again, that question might have been rhetorical, and some sort of a warning.

He laughed nervously. "As curious as I am about what 'the hard way' is, I think I'd rather stay in one piece."

When she said that she was not going to hurt him, it was likely that it was conditional. He did not know if she had people working for her who were waiting for them wherever they were headed. She could even have a hidden weapon on her, like a taser or some other sort of firearm. There would also be a higher chance of her letting her guard down if he displayed no initial resistance. This would be beneficial in an event where he really needed to escape. Meanwhile, he was going to try to find out more about this chip and what kind of trouble she was in.

"Great." Roxy replied when Wyn agreed to cooperate. She pulled into the driveway of a barn. The barn wasn't where they were staying. It was just where she was storing the car so it was out of sight. Which was why the doors to the barn had been left open. "I hope you're not claustrophobic." She told him as she parked the car inside the barn. She turned off the car and opened her door. "Don't try anything. I really don't want to hurt you." She told him before she got out.

She made her way to the doors. She she closed them before locking them. Now it would be harder for her father to find them. He wouldn't look for her here. She was a city girl. While this place wasn't far the city it was outside of it.

Once the door was lock she went to the bunker's hatch and opened it. Then she went to the van and opened the door. "Let's go."

"My word is all I can give you right now, my lady," he replied, after she had warned him not to try anything. "Where exactly are we?"

He could not help but feel a little awkwardness mixed with his apprehension. Roxy clearly had not done this whole abduction thing too many times, if she had even done it before. Her threats did not come across as too intimidating by themselves, but his imagination about what he might not be spotting up front was sufficient to make him think twice about pulling any risky moves. The barn looked to be like any other, and there did not seem to be anyone else around. She was likely all alone in this, and whatever she said he had, she must want it badly.

The place looked like it would have been rather cozy if not for the current situation, and he wondered why she would bring up claustrophobia. That was until she opened the door to the back of the van, revealing an open hatch that would have otherwise been difficult to notice. He cautiously slid out of the van, taking some time to have a better look around the area. He then walked over to the hatch with her and peered in.

"I bet I'll be surprise at what's in there. I mean, it's not as if girls haven't invited me over to their places before, but you're different from the others, aren't you?"

His use of humor as a coping mechanism still seemed to be working in keeping him calm. Also, perhaps she was telling him the truth and he actually was safer hiding out at a place like this one. If that were the case, then she would have no problems giving him the information he required to fully understand what was going on. He entered the hatch with her, truly not knowing what to expect.

"I guess we're doing this. We have a lot to talk about."

Roxy watched Wyn cautiously. She didn't trust him. She had learned not to trust anyone. He had little reason to cooperate. She shrugged when he stated that he'd would be surprised by what he found in the bunker. She had no idea what he expected. She thought what she had in the bunker was fairly normal. Mostly because the bunker was pretty much the way she found it.

There was a set a metal stars going down into the main room. The main room was large. A little bigger than most living rooms. It had a 40 inch flat screen TV and a couple of gaming systems. There was a brown puffy couch that was clean and comfortable. One wall has shelves full of books and board games. It was a comfortable enough place to stay for a few days. "The only thing we have to talk about is this chip. You don't need it. I do."

Wyn did end up being surprised by what was in the bunker, finding it all way too... normal, considering everything that had just taken place. This was a kidnapping, after all, and he had figured that she was going to throw him into a cold dark cellar, or some other place that was just as frightening and unpleasant. He was glad that did not happen, obviously. Now, this was cozy. After taking a quick look around, he let out an impressed whistle and spoke again.

"Dang, you live here? I see that you've put a lot into the entertainment aspect, it looks better than what I have back at my dorm," he commented. "I guess whatever mafia activities you're involved in pay you well."

His current surroundings made him feel more at ease, and his lighthearted statements were now more natural than his forced humor earlier. Roxy really did not seem like she wanted to hurt anyone. Well, perhaps save for this father of hers she had mentioned. What kind of trouble was she in exactly? Before he found that out, however, it would be best to get rid of this alcohol headache that was now harder to ignore after the significant decrease in the stress he had been going through from getting abducted.

He casually plopped himself onto the couch. "The only thing, huh? Sounds like a big thing. Before we start, do you have like, Aspirin or something around here? My head's killing me."
