- The appearance of the energetic cascade led to some people assuming a deity or some godlike creature had sent it - resulting in some highly religious activities that are especially strong in one country/empire/kingdom. The Savannah Imperium was noted for its advanced mechanics, physics, and mathematics, resulting in the best tech. It was destroyed by religious conflict as they opposed the idea of the energetic cascade being supernatural, they consider this to be either human-made or alien-made. We will enter the story at the point where we are either right in front of this incident or as it occurred.
- With the inner and outer conflicts on the brink of exploding people try to flee and the governments struggle with border control as people try to escape drafting and war. The outer conflict stems from a lack of transparency on both sides and the country where the cascade didn't happen think it's some kind of weapon
- After the appearance of the energetic cascade, technology was affected. At best, it's spotty or doesn't work. At worst, it becomes unsafe to use. This furthers the conflict as fast travel and fast communication with the countries affected by the cascade is spotty and hard, might even die completely depending on where we want it to go
- Thus making everything harder but especially staying up to date abt news. Planning escapes. Being in contact with family and loved ones.
- What if the energetic cascade changes something? I had different thoughts abt this. There could be certain spots - maybe historical spots? - that suddenly have these energy markings or something that leads to the government/leader sending a team to investigate that. So we have the historian, someone military, etc (think Atlantis) trying to figure out what it means and what to do all while in a political crisis with war on the verge of breaking out.
- I'm imagining the energetic cascade to be a physical thing that hangs high above like a ball of zizzling energetic... Eh... Energy
- Maybe they are very conflicting countries that are always on the verge of war. But due to the one country with the religious people who attacked the Savannah, they send a shared team to work on discovering the secrets of the energetic cascade. A team of 6 six people only. Under the radar of the other countries.
