Description: Alex is a brown cat with white on his ears and nose. He wears colourful shirts and jeans with everything, as well as sneakers. He is medium height and average build, not an athletic type but not bad at anything in particular. He regards himself highly and often shows off even when he's wrong, often making for laughable situations. His favorite thing is music, listening to it and making it, as he plays the guitar quite often. On his neck he even carries a chrome guitar pick on a chain, a gift from someone (he never tells who in particular). While sociable and fun to talk to, Alex has a deeper side which very few people know.

So, I figured since everyone has paws, no one can really hold things properly. I want to have like a utility sort of glove that fits around the paw and allows the user to pick things up and is interchangable.

If they can't hold things properly, they can't build a city, let alone the sophisticated tools needed for astronomy, mass transit, or even making coffee machines. That's a terrible idea. No offense, but the hands really should be close to those of humans.

And no thanks. You two can just have them head down to watch Aimee later. I can wait a bit. That said, one of you might want to give Alex the cat a girlfriend too, so Aimee will have another female to talk to. Just an idea.

Probably best to keep them opposite-sex. Not that I'm biased, but it gets really weird otherwise. Plus, we could use another female besides Aimee.

Sorry about the hand thing, I thought it was kind of heading that direction. I tried to stay away from saying hands directly as to avoid making things strange.

Description: Fae is a red cat, short in height and very thin. She is much like Alex in the sense that she loves music, recently becoming involved in singing. She is light-hearted and kind, regarded by many as a free spirit. She doesn't often like to listen or do what she's told, but she can be a very loyal and trustworthy friend. She is Alex's girlfriend and when she isn't with him, she spends much of her time texting him, usually during classes. She prefers to wear clothes that are grey or black, and almost never wears anything shorter than jeans.

Maybe hand-paw is better? I imagined them having hands like humans but with padding and claws, including a pad on the palm of their hands, plus pads on their fingers, analogous to the padding and claws on their feet. Just my idea.

I personally am a fan of humanoid hands, however covered in fur, and with padding and claws. So shape is the same essentially.
