[IC] pokemon club- bring your teams and have fun socializing! :) -closed

The first day of another club year was about to begin......

[Vampiretwilight]

the club president(npc for now) was getting ready for the club to begin for another day. Things seemed calm. Her pokeballs rested on a nearby shelf. The pokemon within them were resting inside as well.

They hoped things would go well. They looked out the window and waited for the current members to arrive and for new ones to join. They sighed a bit.

[Olive Fontaine]

Charlotte arrived at the Pokemon club’s meeting place a few minutes early; she was never late. Her blonde hair was really long, and her blue eyes were so dark that you only saw the color when they caught the light. She was tall, and she wore a functional black outfit with minimal flair.

Charlotte always seemed so composed and motivated, but she also had a reputation for friendliness.

She greeted the president warmly, and then added “I’ve just come from the classroom. I stayed after the bell studying with the other girls.”

This seemed to be the truth, as the doglike Pokémon beside her was carrying in a large, unwieldy textbook on her behalf.

The president nodded.
"Very well. It is fine."
They looked out the window for other members. The vice oresident soon ran into the room.

Alice White panted a bit from running. She had her pokeballs with her.
"i am sorry for being late."
That was when her raichu came out of his pokeball again. He looked pouty. Alice sighed.

Charlotte watched with a smile as the vice president rushed in with her pokeballs. Her good-natured friendliness turned into actual interest when the other girl's Raichu produced itself. "Wow, a Raichu! That's amazing. He seems lively."

She turned her attention towards the vice president and greeted her. "Welcome! How's your day going, Alice?"

The raichu immediately hid behind Alice. It didn't trust strangers it just met. Alice sighed and looked at Charlotte. She nodded once. She shrugged after that.
"It's been going alright. Speaking of pokemon, I better let the others out for some fresh air."
She let the rest of her team out for the time being.

A pidgeot appeared but had to stay just outside the doorway. The rest of the pokemon, (a persian, a ninetails, a vaporeon, and a jigglypuff) were all gathered inside the classroom.

Charlotte retracted her hand and placed it on the back of her head casually. 'Of course,' she thought. 'I wouldn't impose on it.'

Alice then released all her pokemon and Charlotte looked on in wonder and appreciation. "Well, I think it's a good day. You have such a lovely team." She wondered if any of the others would be more forthcoming than the Raichu had been.

Riolu set the large textbook down at a nearby table and hurried back over, presenting himself with a salute towards the class president. Charlotte giggled at this earnest gesture. "So, what's on the agenda for today, Club President?"

The president would give her the same basic schedule as every day. Pokemon events that were upcoming, talks of pokemon care, and other such things were listed, like usual.

Suddenly, though, Alices' Jigglypuff and raichu started fighting. Alice sighed.
"Not again!"
She tried to break it up.

[Olive Fontaine]

"Thanks for the outline." Charlotte replied. "Honestly, I have been so busy with my research, I lose time for other things. Thanks for keeping me informed on all this in one place." She might have said more, but she noticed there was a bit of a scuffle with the pokemon. When she did continue, it was more to herself as she produced something from her pocket. "Plus, there's always fun to be had here. Maybe I should join in." Charlotte revealed two stone tiles with strange letters etched into them. 'I don't need pokeballs,' she thought.



The tiles crackled with blue sparks, and their letters began to glow the same color. Suddenly two Unown popped into being above her. They looked like the letters P and S, but each one bore a large eye that moved freely and glanced around the room. The two pokemon hovered in sync, circling around a shared center and emitting a sort of hum. Charlotte didn't say anything else directly, but waited to see how the other club members would react to the fight between Raichu and Jigglypuff and the emergence of her own pokemon.

Jigglypuff was about to use lullaby when those unknown appeared. The pokemon all gathered around Alice. Raichu hid behind her of course. Jigglypuff was shaking. Alice gasped.
"What....what the....?"
Her eyes were wide.

There would be more gasps from other members that were there. The president would be among them of course. Wide eyes could be seen all around and startled silence filled the air.

[Olive Fontaine]

"Relax, everyone. It's perfectly safe. These are my pokemon! Pi and Sigma. We've played lots of games together."

The unown slowed to a halt and came closer to the ground, allowing anyone around to inspect them if they wished. The sound of the hum also seemed to fade away. "They're the objects of my study. I know they're a bit strange, but I promise that they're friendly!"

The president narrowed their eyes.

Alice shook her head and took a step back. Her persian and her ninetails were both growling at the unknowns, acting protective of Alice. Her vaporeon stayed right near her. Her pidgeot peaked in, eyes narrowed. Her Jigglypuff and her raichu kept hiding behind her.

“So, do Jigglypuff and Raichu not get along well?” Charlotte asked once things had settled down a little. “But they both seem to like you!” she said, noting that the little Pokémon had each clung to her legs.

[Vampiretwilight]

Alice sighed.
"Riachu doesn't trust strangers. Jigglypuff gets...jealous. He saw Raichu getting clingy....again."
She frowned.

[Olive Fontaine]

“Hmm. I’ve heard of cases like that. Pokémon have really strong emotions. Sometimes they bond so closely with a person that they come to need her approval.” Charlotte thought about it some more.

“Maybe it would help to keep them out together during some play time outside? They usually get used to one another eventually. Maybe we could ask the president, though. She might give us better advice.”

[Vampiretwilight]

Alice sighed.
"Perhaps. "
But, then she frowned. She shook her head a bit. She looked at her Pokémon.

"Raichu has been a part of my team since he was a pichu. Jigglypuff is the same way, caught him a month later when he was an igglybuff."

Alice took a breath.
"But if you say so."

[Olive Fontaine]

”I see,” Charlotte said with a troubled look. “You know, I’ve had my Riolu for a long time as well. I don’t know what I’d do without him.” Suddenly her smile broke through the seriousness. “Surely your Pokémon like to play, right? Why don’t we play volleyball together? Ask Jigglypuff and Raichu to play on the same team. I’m sure Riolu would love to get involved.” He excitedly shook his head in affirmation. “He loves games. Though I’ll warn you he tends to get a bit… competitive.”

“I’ll make sure to keep him in check.”

[Vampiretwilight]

"Um......"
Alice suddenly looked at her pidgeot, who was getting fidgety. She blinked and looked at Charlotte.

"Pidgeot is very competitive herself. She gets....carried away. Just a warning."

She agreed to the game but still wanted to warn her.

[Olive Fontaine]

"Oh?" The blonde-haired girl made appraising eye contact with the Pidgeot. "Don't worry about it. I'm not scared to lose. But that doesn't mean I'll go easy on you!" she said in a teasing way.

Charlotte was delighted that the vice president had accepted her game. In that moment she thought that they might become friends. She proceeded to the outside area and requested some help getting the game set up. The materials were already at hand, as it was a common past time at the Academy. It was a simple game that many people and most pokemon were able to take part in. They would use a net which was slightly lower for the convenience of the smaller players.

"Riolu, help me with this." The pokemon agreed without delay and assisted in stretching the fabric from pole to pole. Charlotte stood back with Alice and watched. She threw back her coat and removed it, revealing an athletic, olive-green t-shirt. "It will probably take a few minutes to get everything set up."

"Who are you going to play with? I'll play with Riolu and Pi."

Alice looked between her pokemon. Her persian was sleeping. Vaporeon looked hungry. Jigglypuff huffed and looked away from Raichu. Raichu frowned and looked at the ground. Pidgeot gave a cry and immediately flew onto the field before Alice could say anything or try to stop her. The trainer blinked.

"um....."

Alice looked at Charlotte.

"I guess pidgeot wants to play?"

The bird pokemon gave another cry and flapped their wings.

“She looks excited. Are you going to join in as well? It doesn’t seem fair for the three of us to take her on alone. Besides, if you join in, I’m sure one of your other Pokémon will play. We’ll take good care of them afterwards.”

“What do you say? Extra pokeblocks for the winning team?” The last part was added with a good hearted smile. “Just so you know, I’m no good at this game personally, but I think it will be fun.”

It was around that time that Riolu returned with a volleyball and a spare. It seemed that everything was ready. Charlotte patted his head and thanked him for the effort. The pokemon made a familiar doglike face with closed eyes as his trainer praised him.
