In the kingdom known as the Thoudel Empire, there lived a mighty warrior king and his wife. They had a daughter, who grew up not knowing the dangers and strife and such that her father did. She was born, and had grown up, in a time of peace and such. Times were peaceful. Times were happy and everything. Days went by without any serious problems caused by things from outside the kingdom. But, one day, everything would change, and not for the better.
It was a day like any other, the king and his family were having their breakfast. That was when dark clouds, so to speak, loomed over the kingdom. What sounded like horses charging forth could be heard. They had somehow gotten past the border guards and were making their way towards the castle stronghold. Knights tried to keep them at bay. But whoever was not killed ended up on the ground and too weak to move. One by one they were defeated. This was a great problem, very great.
The king grabbed his sword and charged outside. He would help defend the kingdom himself if he had to. He told his wife and daughter to stay inside as he left the castle. However, they would watch him leave from the castle steps. Before he could make it off the castle grounds though, he was blocked by a group of rather dark, almost supernatural looking, men. They seemed ready to attack him. Instead, though, they made way for their leader, who demanded an immediate surrender. A gasp could be heard, and the princess could be seen.
The kings' eyes went wide, and he told her to go inside. He shouted it. But it was too late. The men leading the enemy 'army' saw her. His own eyes went wide at first, but then he smirked. He noticed her beauty and he sensed no one else like her in the entire time that he was alive. He found himself desiring her for his prize. That was when he had a NEW idea.
He looked at the king, and he cleared his throat. He told the king that he would spare them and allow them to remain independent, but on one condition. An alliance had to be made, so to speak. How? He wanted the kings' daughter.... for his bride! Before the king could say anything more, the man before him silenced him. He would accept nothing else in exchange and it would seem that they had no other choice. Soon enough, it seemed like there was going to be a wedding, one in which the bride herself refused to be a part of.
There were those who sided with her and wished to help. But how? That was the question.
And so, the story would begin from there. What will happen now?
This plot/idea is open to being 1x1 or small group. I haven't decided.
