Pokémon Trainer RP

Look, I don’t have a long fancy plot for you. I figured we can we can figure that out as we go if anybody shows interest.

I just want a traditional Pokémon Trainer RP. A group of friends (Ages 18-21) go on journey. Catch Pokémon, challenge gyms, maybe do Contests, there might possibly be an evil team involved. Who knows. I don’t know, but I really love Pokémon, and I want to be in more than one Pokémon RPG… I tried 1x1s, they’re good, but I prefer groups a tad more.

I am not a good GM. I tried. I want help from someone competent to be a Co-GM…

Interested! When you say a group of friends, do they already know each other, or do they meet for the first time in the starting town? Because I don't think I've seen the former before in a Pokemon RP.

The group starts out knowing each other. One thing I love about RPing is character interactions/relationships, and the group knowing each other and having some kind of history together gets that going right away.

My favorite region is Kalos, and I’m thinking about setting this there, unless there is strong preference for a different region. What do you think? @vancexentan@LuckyBlackCat

Also we have 4 players (including me.) I think we should be good to start planning stuff. Unless we get a bunch of interest all of a sudden. I’m capping it at 6.

So, what I’m thinking is our characters would be friends and went to school together, and for whatever reason we got separated, and they all reunite later on in the starting town. Thoughts?

I'll definately partake. A journey always leads to new friends and challenges in the way. If you guys are planning on making a group of friends I feel some of you should already know one another but in my case, I could be one of those friends and joins the group along the way, maybe helping against team rocket or someone like that whose know to kidnap pokemon. Thoughts??

@Crimson Flame I was planning on shipping my character over from Unova if I could in some shape or fashion but its up to you. Having them be in school friends would be fine for me, I was going to say they knew each other distantly through the internet equivalent in pokemon but its all good to me.

Ok, I think I have the amount of players I can handle. I think it’s about time to start work on the OOC. Now I need a clever title that isn’t just Pokémon Chronicles.

I'd be interested if you haven't hit your player cap yet. We're playing as young adults, so is it normal in this world. A little more "realistic" that Pokemon journeys don't start til adulthood. Or are we just people who put our journeys off for a few years for whatever reason.

I’m thinking Pokémon Journeys don’t start till adulthood type situation. If we did the latter, we would be grown ups fighting 11 year olds, and that would get a little Weird.

I mean you could still do that. They wouldn’t have to be native to Kalos.

Being school friends is kind of what I’m hoping for. Like I said, I’m hoping the characters will have history together. Not that you can’t have history with internet friends, I just want them to have seen each other person at one point.

I dunno, eighteen to twenty one seems a little old. My parents made me drop out of society and wander the wilderness looking for pokemon when I was twelve, and I turned out just fine!

I want to keep the group small since it’s easier for me to handle. If a bunch of people come out of the woodwork and show interest, I’m going to have to be picky with CSes. 😆
